Chapter 4

She sat in the clearing they had met in the day before. She knew he was a fast healer, and that he would meet her shortly. After being so shaken up from the day before, he promised her he would make things better. She sighed and shivered a bit at the soft breeze.

There was a quiet rustle from behind her. She turned around to see Sango approaching. “How are you?” She asked.

“I'm alright,” Kagome replied. “I've been better, but I'll be okay. It was just kinda scary…”

Sango nodded. “I know… and they both promised that they would never let it happen again.”

“Yeah, like they let it happen yesterday?”

Sango sighed. “Kagome, he's really sorry. You understand that, right?”

Kagome nodded. “I'm just still shaking, ya know?”

There was a strong breeze and a strange sent that quickly filled the air. Both of the girls began looking about for the source of the sweet aroma. There was nothing in sight.

“Sango, do you recognize that sent?” Kagome asked, feeling slightly light-headed.

“No…” Sango replied, waving back and forth in the wind. “But it's so… so…” Sango fell over into the grass.

Before Kagome could reach to help her friend, her head rolled to the side and she crumbled to the ground with her. Everything went dark…

She woke up to a familiar voice calling, speaking her name… It felt as if she was on her side, but her vision hadn't completely adjusted to the darkness of the room. She was so cold, but she could feel the warmth of a fire nearby. She turned her head to see a small fireplace in the corner. Her eyes could make out a figure lying farther away from the fire in the corner while another walked back and forth from the fireplace to a table.

“Good morning,” Inu Yasha's voice said.

She smiled at him as he knelt next to her. He reached to her face and stroked her cheek and then let his hand roam down her neck. His hand was so warm. She welcomed his touch until it reached her chest… her almost bare chest.

“InuYasha, why am I missing my shirt?” She asked, quite surprised.

“Don't worry yourself,” he said to her. “It'll be okay. Just go back to sleep,” he whispered as he pulled a blanket over her shoulders. She rested her head on her arm and fell back asleep.

She could feel someone kissing her. She smiled at the feel of InuYasha's lips against her neck and shoulder. Her head rolled to the side to give him more access. To her surprise, he bit her. She let out a quiet yelp of pain, but couldn't hear her own voice. Her eyes shot open. There he sat, InuYasha, bare-chested and grinning broadly. She tried to talk to him, but her voice just wouldn't work. She looked around, remembering the other figure that had been in the room with them before. She spotted Sango in the corner, wrapped in a blanket, staring back at her in shock.

Kagome looked at InuYasha.

“It's okay, baby. It's just a little game.” He kissed her again, but harder than normal. His hands wrapped around her bare back.

She tried to push him off, but her hands were tied behind her back. She was so weak. What was he doing to her? Why would he try to hurt her like this?

Sango sat in the corner, shaking her head and moving her mouth as if she were yelling, but she seemed to have no voice also.

Kagome felt so dizzy. InuYasha's kisses were so nice and warm. She didn't see any harm in it, so she kissed him back. Maybe it was just her imagination that this didn't seem right. Why wouldn't it be?

She moved herself closer to him for warmth as he began kissing her neck again, then traveled down her chest to her stomach. She was on her back as he began to pull at her skirt, having a fight with the buttons. Why was he having such trouble if he'd done this before?

“Kagome!” A voice called from outside the walls. She ignored it. This was so nice and warm.

InuYasha turned to the wall where the voice had come from.

No, She thought, he's going to leave. He hates distractions. He can't leave me here like this. She pushed herself up and leaned against him, wanting him to return to her. He smiled at her and kissed her again, throwing his tongue into her mouth. Third time's the charm, she thought lazily.

“Kagome!” The muffled voice yelled again.

“InuYasha?” She mouthed. That was definitely his voice, but then who was this?

She turned back to the man in front of her. The face staring back was not of InuYasha's, but of a beautiful young man older than her. He stared at her in shock, matching her face.

“That bitch told me that this spell was full proof,” he grumbled. “You're mine anyway. If I don't have you, you will not survive the next night.”

Kagome stared at him in shock as he traveled back down her chest and stomach, nipping at her skin. Tears poured down her face as InuYasha continued to call her name outside of the house.

The man stopped his slow, nasty progress down her body and sat up. He stared at her, then over at Sango who looked as if she were on her last thread. He scooped up Kagome and dropped her next to Sango.

“Two in one,” he said evilly.

Sango began struggling, letting her blanket fall loose around her waist. Her top was gone, but the bottom half of her kimono still stayed tied around her waist. Her hands were tied above her head, the rope nailed to the wall. She stared at him angrily.

“The only negative to this plan was the silent part. If you scream, they will hear, but also, I won't be able to hear your screams of agony.”

“Sango!” Miroku called.

There was a loud crash from outside.

“They hit the barrier,” the man explained. “But they will never enter.”

Another loud crack filled the room.

“There is nothing anyone can do for you now,” he said as he began running his hands up Kagome's legs and under her skirt. She pulled her knees together and tried to squirm away. He pushed her back against Sango who was trying to pull her hands free. Sango's leg flew into the air and hit him in the face. She breathed heavily, showing that that had been the last of her energy.

“I love them rough,” he said as he moved in on Sango.

This wasn't happening, Kagome thought. How could this happen to us? She pulled her tied wrists under her legs and to the front of her body. She knelt up behind the man and raised her tied fists, bringing them down hard on his head. To her surprise, she didn't feel it. Her arms were going numb. But, when he turned around, she knew that he had felt it. He spun around in anger and lunged at her, throwing her to the ground.

“You think that's funny?!” He barked. “You'll see what pain is,” he growled as he lifted her to her feet and pressed her against the wall. He pulled at her skirt and ripped it off of her waist. He dug his nails into her back as he kissed hungrily at her neck.

Another loud crash, but this time, louder than before. For a second, it felt as if all the air had left the room. The far wall broke and crashed. There, in the bright sunlight, stood InuYasha. The man, in surprise, dropped her from her spot and let her fall to the ground. She hit her head on the wooden floor and passed out, the last image of InuYasha burned in her mind

“A, b, c, d, e, f, g,” sang a voice into her ear. There was a small pause, until the voice continued. “H, i, j, k, l.” The voice sobbed as it faded away.

“InuYasha?” Kagome whispered.

“Kagome?!” He said to her in surprise.

She opened her eyes to see his face and the familiar surroundings of Kaede's hut. Everything was dark. She must have been out for hours. She forced her eyes to adjust to the light. She stared up at InuYasha, and, even though his face was beat red from crying, she still was so happy to see him.

“InuYasha, I'm so sorry… I love you so much,” she choked through tears, “I didn't know it wasn't you…”

“Kagome, it's okay… Sango told us everything, I promise.” He looked down at her, tears pouring down his face. He lowered his head next to her. “Nothing can make me stop loving you,” he said.

“Where is he?” She asked.

“Dead where we found him,” he replied.

She let out a sigh of relief. He was gone for good.

“I'll never let this happen to you again,” InuYasha promised her. “Never.”

She used her arms to push herself up and kissed him on the forehead. “Thank you,” she sighed. “Thank you so much.”

Don't hate me… it'll get better…
