Chapter six: Life of Misery :
Kagome whined in pain as she sat up. She had never felt so much pain! She looked down and realized the shackles on her wrists. She was frightened as she realized that she'd been kidnapped.
Naraku stepped inside of the room he'd put his 'prisoner' in. Her name was Kagome and that was one of the things he knew of her. "Hello.. I am Naraku and just to fill you in.. You shall do as I say and I've taken your shards." Naraku stated.
Kagome looked to the man. He had long black hair. His skin was pale. He wore a dark blue pair of hakami along with his dark blue haori. He wore a lowish pony tail that held back half his thick hair. Kagome gasped. "Aren't you Kikyo's love?!"
"Yes, but let's not bring up the past. I only used her for the jewel. I won't kill you until I end up with the whole jewel. I know you can sense when shards are near." Naraku replied with a wicked laugh. He grinned and stepped forward. He jammed a shard into Kagome's left shoulder. "I'll use this one to control you with." He snickered. "You will obey me! Won't you?"
Kagome screeched in pain. She didn't want to join Naraku's side. Her eyes changed into a pure black. "Yes mater." She replied and that was the beginning of her pain and misery.
Kagome was soon forced to stay by Naraku's side. She was lucky that all she did was sense jewel shards, put them in a container and make sure Naraku had food. She had been in Naraku's control for a year now.
Kagome walked toward the room Naraku kept the jewel shards in. Kagome knew she was under a control, but could sometimes fight it and right now she was fighting it. She picked up the container the shards were in. Naraku had stolen Koga's shards. Now, only thirteen shards were missing. Kagome pictured Inuyasha as she escaped Naraku's home. She remembered that he had an eight pack.
Inuyasha looked up and gasped. "K-Kagome?" Inuyasha looked Kagome over in curiousity. She had a cut across her cheek and was very thin. "Why'd you run off?!" Inuyasha yelled.
"Naraku..He.. Controlled me.." Kagome answered.
"What!?" Inuyasha yelled again. He grabbed Kagome's arm roughly. "Do you know where he is?"
"Yes." Kagome answered. She groaned in pain from the pressure on her arm.
Inuyasha sighed and muttered out, "Fine.. You can hop on my back." He was still convinced that Kagome had betrayed him.
Kagome nodded and got onto Inuyasha's back. She knew Inuyasha didn't trust her and that he was her only friend, but she'd have to deal with that later.
Naraku grinned as Kagome and Inuyasha approached. 'Kagome must've forgotten about the jewel shard within her.' He figured and started to snicker.
Kagome watched Inuyasha's hard fought battle. Inuyasha had terrible wounds and he would not let Kagome help. He obviously didn't trust her.
Inuyasha smirked. Naraku had ran. Well, that's what he thought had happened, but he was wrong. An arrow then pierced through Inuyasha. "Kagome? W-why?" Inuyasha fell to the ground.
Kagome snickered. "You think you can destroy my master Naraku? When I'm around!?"
Inuyasha closed his eyes in pain. "Kagome, you are a fool! Naraku will only use you!Why are you betraying me like this?"
Kagome frowned. "Naraku needs me to sense the shard.." She paused and looked to the sky and saw Naraku. "Hmm... I'll see you later." With that Naraku came for Kagome and disappeared.
Kagome began to cry. "You can't keep making me hurt Inuyasha!" Kagome protested against Naraku.
"Naraku growled at this. "Oh, really? I can and will control you!" He shouted. He noticed Kagome trying to free herself of his control and he slapped her across the face. "Don't you dare try to break my control! You stupid wench!" Naraku yelled in anger at the miko.
Kagome sat up in the 'prisoner's room'. She couldn't help, but cry. She wanted to be with her only friend, Inuyasha.
Kagome knew Inuyasha was mad, but she would rather be with him then in this room! It was better than being alone!
Inuyasha was sitting up in the hut. He was feeling betrayed.
'She...... Left with Naraku.. She left me just like when Kikyo made her mistake..' Inuyasha pondered quietly. "She was my only friend." He voiced his thoughts.
Kagome looked around. She'd never explored the 'prisoner's room'. She stood up as she realized that she had no shackles on. It was pitch black in the room. She felt along the walls. 'A...Window!?' Kagome thought in pure delight.
Inuyasha was now laying in bed. He was on a train of thoughts when he heard someone come into the hut. His ears twitched. He kept his eyes closed. He could tell that the person had just layed down. He felt arms wrap around his neck. He also heard crying.
Kagome had sucessfully gotten out of the 'prisoner's room'. She'd managed to find her way to the hut Inuyasha was in. She was crying into Inuyasha's shirt now. "I'm sorry.." She murmered.
'That soft scent.. That voice..' Inuyasha thought. "Kagome?" He said out loud.
Kagome looked to Inuyasha with tear filled eyes. His amber eyes were full of betrayal. "I'm sorry!" She cried out and hid her face.
Inuyasha looked down to Kagome. "Why? Why'd you betray me?"
Kagome looked at Inuyasha and then away as she cried more. 'He still doesn't trust me?' She thought. "My..My left shoulder.. That's where...Naraku.. He controlled me.." She was able to cry out.
Inuyasha pushed Kagome away. "Don't touch me! Go back to your precious master!" He yelled in plain anger.
Kagome stood, apologized and diasappeared within the blackness of a near by forest.
Inuyasha sighed. He thought he'd have to find the jewel alone. He didn't believe Kagome right now.
Kagome looked into the sky. 'Uh-oh! Naraku!' She thought as Naraku appeared in front of her.
"Kagome! What are you doing!?" Naraku yelled. He then slapped Kagome. This made her fall to the ground. "Tomorrow.. We shall finish Inuyasha off! Oh, yes I almost forgot.. I found nine jewel shards today.. Only four left." He said with a smirk. He had taken the jewel shards Kagome had stolen from him away from her.
Inuyasha sat up in bed. The evets from the night before were replaying in his mind. He stood and managed to carry himself outside. He looked around and saw Naraku standing by Kagome.
