"Miroku! Don't do this!" Sango cried. She was being sucked into the enormous void that Miroku was, held back only because she had found a sturdy tree to cling to.
*Mini Kag-Ko
"Koga...... Koga........." Kagura said, crying. "I didn't want to....... you know I didn't........" Kagura cried.
"You did." Koga said coldly, striking again with his sword. Another cut appeared on Kaguras arm. Kagura cried harder and clutched at the cut.
'Koga....... why?'
"Tired of our battle alreday Kagura? No second wind?" Koga smiled mockingly. "Shall I end it now?" Kagura closed her eys sadly and nodded slightly.
'Let it end...... I can't kill him..... better to die then live with scars and a need for someone I can't have.' Tears rolled down her cheeks as she heard the swish of the blade, dropping towards her neck.
'It'll be over soon. Bye Koga.... May we have better luck in my next life......'
"Kagura!" she heard someone call. She felt a rush of displaced air and the light was blocked for a split second while someone jumped in front of her. The blade tore through the persons arm, elicting a cry of pain from the person. Kagura opened her eyes. Not five feet away, an unconscious Koga was lying, bloodly and battered, blood pouring form a cut on his shoulder.
"Koga!" Kagura crawled over to him. "Koga!" She looked up. Standing abover her was the other Koga.
'What!?' Kagura thought.
*Koga*
Koga saw the blade wielded by his illusion descend to Kaguras neck. Worst of all, Kagura seemed to accpet it.
'Not while I draw breath!' Koga vowed. He ran using a speed he had not know that he possessesd to leap in front of Kagura and take the blow across his shoulder. He cried out, then blacked out, landing a few feet from Kagura.
'Good....... she's safe......' was his last coherent thought.

"Please, join me in my void!" Miroku said, smiling like an ordinary boy that invited someone for tea. Sango struggled to hang onto her tree. She looked at Mirklu, then beyond him.
'What? Is that...... another Miroku?' Sango thought. She saw the real Miroku just beyond teh false one.
"Sango!" Miroku cried. Sango screamed back to him.
"Miroku! Hel-" Sango didn't finish. She had unknowingly loosened her grip on the tree, and she was falling into the fake Miroku's void.
'Miroku........ you were a fake one all the time....... one of Rysuki's illusions.'
"Miroku..... I'm glad to see you again before I die." Sango called to the real Miroku as she slowly fell into the fake one's void. "Goodbye....."
"Sango!"
*Miroku*
'Sango!' Miroku thought. 'What can I do?' He did the only thing he thought would work. He ran into the clearing and transformed into a demon as he did so. He faced the other him, and unleashed the Wind Tunnel.
"Sango! Come back to me!" He cried despratly. He didn't know is it would work and get Sango far enough away so that she could escape. He focused his vacuum power just on Sango. She was almost too far in, but she came out, slwly but surely. She screamed in pain. Her body was being pulled in two directions at once!
"Sango, roll out!" Miroku commanded. Sango just sort of weakly turned over, but she did eventually make it out.
"Miroku.." Sango called out weakly.
"she's dying.' the fake observed. Then he smiled. "Too bad. And you were too late to help....." Miroku looked angery at these words.
"I-am-not!" Miroku said, increasing his vaccuum power as much as he could. He had held back before, not wanting to hurt Sango more then necessary to get her out, but now he sucked with all the power he could muster. It had little effect. Miroku saw the bushes rustle, behind his opponent.
"Is that the best you can do? Pathetic....... Soon I'll kill you, and the others will die, all because of you and your weak wind." Kohaku stepped out of the bushes.
"Metal Chain Snake!" he yelled.
"Huh?" The fake turned his head slightly, just enough to see a large metal whip graze his cheek. "Is that all?"
Koahku called the whip back, then sent it flying faster then thought at the fakes neck, slicing clean through. The fake's mounth formed an 'O' of surprise, but then he weas only that much more dust on the wind. Kohaku ran to get Nari, while Miroku quickly transformed to his human form and ran to Sango.
"Sango, Sango wake up. It's me, Miroku." He said softly, gentely picking up her hand and shaking it. "Sango.....?"
"Mir...... oku?' Sango's eyes opened slightly. She saw Miroku bent over her and she tried sitting up. "Are you........ okay?"
"I'm fine, just some scrapes and I'm tired. What about you?" Sango tried vainly to laugh.
"I'm perfe..ctly okay. I just..... can't feel.... arms or legs." Sango looked at him. "I'm glad.... you made it." Sango smiled.
"Sango? Don't worry, just stay here. Transform into a youkai if you can. You'll heal..... you have to heal." Sango smiled thinly and concentrated. She transformed into a youkai.
"This is.... the extent of....... what I can..... do. I can't move. Miroku, here...... take this." She reached back and pulled out a thin spine. "It won't....... disappear. Just...... promise me that...... you'll hit Rysuki with it."
"You'll get better in time. Just give it an hour."
"We have no...... time left. I need to sleep. I can heal faster. Please....... protect me. A barrier....." Miroku nodded. He set up a barrier so that none could enter, and infused it with energy so that Sango could heal. Sango's eyes went as wide as they could when she felt the healing energy.
"But....... you'll need this...... energy." Sango protested.
"Maybe, but not as much as you do. Sleep." Miroku stood up, and Sango did not argue further. She was asleep.
*Kohaku*
Kohaku ran to get to Nari as soon as he had taken care of the Air element that had given Miroku- the real one- trouble.
"Nari!" He saw her. Rysuki was holding her back, preventing her from helping either side.
"Tch. Still alive? Tell your remaining group members to meet me at the summit." Kohaku tried slashing Rysuki with his whip, but he was already gone.
"Nari, are you okay?" Kohaku kneeled beside Nari, putting a hand on her back.
"I'm fine. We just have to beat him. I was so worried for you, for all of you.... You could've died, and I wasn't there to help."
"Shh.... it's okay. We have to think of more pressing things now, like-"
"-Killing Rysuki?" Inuyasha finished for him. Inuyasha and Kagome had just appeared, bringing Shippo with them Inuyasha and Kohaku nodded.
"Let's go. Sango is resting." Miroku said.
"Where's Kagura?" Kagome asked. They looked around and spotted her. She was facing down a Koga copy, with Koga lying beside her. They were just out of earshot and they were just close enough to see. Their battle had moved away from the others when Koga had jumped in- the real Koga. They couldn't do anything but watch as Kagura was hit again and again.
"Kagura!" Kagome yelled. Kagome began running toward her, praying that she wasn't too late to save her friend.
*Kagura*
'What!?' Kagura thought. She glanced at both of the Koga's.
"Seems like Mr. Hero decided to put in an appearence." the fake Koga sneered. He hit Kagura with teh flat of his blade, knocking her back. She was thrust so hard back that she landed on her back.
"Uhhhhh......" she groaned. She looked up just in time to dodge the fake's claws but not the sword. She aquired a new gash across the arm.
"You're no fun. What would happen if I were to kill that wolf?" the fake indicated Koga. "Would you become lively then?" Kagura didn't look up.
'Go for me. Go for me, leave him alone.....' Kagura silently pleaded. 'This is my fault.... give me a chance, any chance..... please, try and hit me again.... anywhere, just not him.....'
"No answer? Maybe I should just kill him anyway. In fact, I think I will." The fake raised his sword so the he could chop off Koga's head. Koga stirred. The sword began it's descent, very quickly to all but Kagura.
"NO!" Kagura lept into the path of the blade, taking a gash to the forearm, and completely covering Koga. She heard him give a sharp breath out, fully woken up.
"Koga..... you're okay...." Kagura passed out, the cuts and the final jump too much for her. Koga pushed himself up and gentely laid her on the ground. On the ground next to her, he looked at his opponent.
"Leave her alone." Koga commanded.
"Why should I? You both took blows for the other, you both try to get me to attack you. Hmmmmmmm......... choices, choices." The fake sneered. Then he raised his sword. "How about both of you, one after the other?" He brought his sword down quickly, but something interrupted its motion.
"Water Shower!" A rainstorm began above the fake's head. He slowed his motion for a precious second while he looked at the dark clouds above his head. "What is this?!"
"Mikos Tears!" A huge water bubble hit the youkai, causing it to nearly break in two.
"Ugghhhhhhhh.........." the fake said, then he sneered. "Is that the best you can do?" Behind him, Kagura stirred.
"Bir..... Birds of Vengence!" Kagura yelled, weakly thrusting her sword at the fake. White birds attacked the fake and it killed him. He was dust on the winds, like all the other illusions.
"Come on. We have to get to the summit." Kohaku said. "Koga, Kagura, coem on. Can you move?"
"I..... have to. Today........" Koga didn't have to finish. It was their last day with working swords. They turned, as one, to look up at the summit, not more then a hours run.
