InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ New Stranger in Old Times ❯ Chapter 5 ( Chapter 5 )
The pain was gone. Sesshoumaru slowly opened his eyes to see his dark room. How he got there he had no idea. He ran his fingers over his chest to feel that the wounds were completely gone. He sighed and started to sit up, but something was weighing him down. He instantly smelled her scent. It was Ang. His Ang.
He looked over and saw her sleeping on his shoulder. Her hair fell over her face and spilled onto his arm. She was so beautiful, and he knew that he loved her. Especially after seeing her crying over him this afternoon. Her tears had broken his heart; he never wanted to see her crying again. He used his hand and pushed some of her hair away from her eyes. She sighed and snuggled closer to him.
"Ang, wake up." He said softly.
She jumped up and saw him staring at her.
"Oh no. I fell asleep, please don't be angry." She said fast and jumped off the bed.
"Why would I be angry?" He said knowing all to well what she meant.
"I was sleeping on you. I just got so worried about you, I wanted to be near you, just incase, and I fell asleep. Your not angry with me are you?" She whispered.
"No, Of course not."
He took her slim hand in his and pulled her back onto the bed.
"Sesshoumaru?" She said shakily.
"It's alright. Do not be afraid." He whispered, pulling her back down to his chest.
"Sleep here tonight. I need you near me." He said contentedly.
"If that is what you want."
She snuggled into him and instantly fell back asleep. He took his tail and wrapped his around her, falling back asleep.

As Ang woke up the next morning, she felt that she was being watched. She groaned and rolled into the excellent source of heat to her left. Just then, an image flashed before her eyes. Sesshoumaru. She opened her eyes to see him looking into her eyes. She couldn't move under the intense gaze.
"Good morning. Sleep well?" He asked her.
"Morning. Yes." She said.
He grinned and once again, brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. Before he knew what he was doing, his lips touched hers. He felt more than heard her gasp. His hands went to her waist as his tongue probed her mouth. His hands traveled the length of her body and began to part her kimono, which was still covered in his blood.
"Sesshou, I…"
He put a finger to her lips and pulled away from her.
"Your right, I'm sorry. I never should have touched you."
He looked almost saddened and it broke Ang's heart.
"It's ok Sesshou. Can I ask an important question?"
He turned and gazed into her eyes.
"You know you can." He whispered, holding her hand in his.
"Sesshoumaru, I need to find Kagome and Inuyasha. Will you let me go and find them?"
His heart broke at her words.
"You would still leave me and return to them, after as close as we have gotten?"
She smiled up at him.
"I planned on coming back. It's just, I promised Kagome that I would help her with something before you took me, and I want to keep that promise."
He looked away from her and dropped her hand.
"You may go. I suppose it's time that you left now. It's obvious that Inuyasha isn't coming for you." He said coldly.
`I went and fell for her and she still wants to leave me. It's what I get.' He thought to himself.
"Leave when ever you wish." He stated then left the room.
Ang knew instinctively that she had hurt his feelings, but she hoped that one day, he would understand her decision. Ang got up and walked out of the room, but was stopped by Sesshoumaru's hand, grabbing her arm.
"This is yours, you can have it back now." He said quietly.
She looked down at the object in his hands.
"Oh WOW! My CD player." She said excitedly.
She took it and saw that it was the same as she had left it.
"I had it put away and hidden from you. I still do not trust it, but it is your belonging." He said and began to walk away.
"Thank you so much. I missed hearing my music."
She put on the headphones and turned on the CD player. When the music came on, Sesshoumaru stopped walking and turned towards her.
`What kind of black magic is this?' He thought to himself.
He stood there and watched as music seemed to come out of her body. He came closer and noticed that she was looking at him. Pulling the headphones off her head, she handed them to him.
"Put them over your ears to hear music." She said.
The music was rather loud and Ang turned the volume down quite a bit before he could listen without hurting his ears.
"This is, rather, nice." He said.
The woman in the headphones sounded lovely. The song she was singing had a faster beat, nothing that he was used to.
"What type of music is this?" He called over the singing girl.
"In my time, its called pop. The girl singing, her name is Mandy Moore. That is what I needed to help Kagome. You see, she wants to sing a song that's on there to Inuyasha. I agreed to help her with the words and stuff."
Sesshoumaru nodded and handed her back the weird device.
"Ok." He said simply and began to walk away.
"Sesshou? Do you hate me for wanting to go?"
He stopped again and hung his head.
"I could never hate you Ang. I just never thought you would leave me."
He felt her wrap her arms around him from behind.
"I am not leaving you Sesshou. I am just going away for a week or two, hopefully. I will come back, I swear it. I love you too much not to!' She said it so fast that she hardly realized it came out.
She stiffened and buried her face in his back. She felt the muscle under his skin tense.
"You love me?" He asked, she almost couldn't hear.
"I hadn't planed on telling you until I came back, but I can't help it now. Some how I fell in love with you."
She let him go and walk around to face him.
"I understand if you don't feel the same. Just knowing that you like me is enough." She whispered.
His eyes met hers and she could see that his eyes were filled with tears.
"Sesshou? What's the matter?"
She took his hand in hers and watched as a lone tear fell from his eye.
"Please. Just go Ang."
He walked around her and out of sight.
`I should have known he doesn't even like me. The almighty Sesshoumaru in love with a human. Never possible. He hates humans, except for Rin of course.'
Ang walked to her room and changed into her old shirt and shorts outfit. Putting the CD player in the pocket of her shorts, she looked around the room one last time. She was happy here, and now she was going to leave it. She knew now that she could never return here, or she would feel just as heart broken as she did now. She placed a blue pillow that had fallen to the floor back on the bed and sighed.
"It's all for the best I suppose." She said and walked out of the door of her room and the castle.
