"Kagome!" her mother yelled. "Wake up! Time to go to school!"

"Uhhh…" Kagome moaned. "I'm up, I'm up!!!" Kagome was a freshman at the Shikon High School, and she wasn't very happy about today. Today was the day for exams. Sure she knew the stuff, but she usually froze on exams. "Well, let's get this over with," she said as she got dressed. She put on a pair of blue jeans and a red short sleeve shirt with black sandals. "Bye mom! See you after school!" she yelled as she ran down the shrine steps. She passed the house that was next door to her, that has been for sale for over six months. `When are they ever going to sell that house?' she thought, as she ran to school. Little did she know, their was somebody already moved in.

`Why did we have to move here' he thought, as the movers brought in some more boxes for his room. Inuyasha Takahashi, a half-demon, had just moved to Tokyo, because of his father's business. He was a freshman, who was going to be attending Shikon High School. He wasn't all excited about moving, but his father insisted.

"INUYASHA! Get your demon hide down here this instant!" his father yelled from downstairs.

`What does that old geezer want know' he thought, as he went downstairs.

"Inuyasha, I think you should go to school today," his father said as he saw Inuyasha walk down the stairs.

"What?!" Inuyasha yelled. "We just moved here, and you just want me to go to school just like that!" `What his he up to' he thought as he stared at his father, like he had two heads.

"I want you to go to school, today," his father started. "Today's Friday, so I would like you to get your schedule, and the things you need, for Monday."

"But…I…." Inuyasha stammered.

"No, buts," his father started. "Your brother is also going to school today too, so get your book bag and start walking." And with that his father went back on setting up his office.

`Why me?' Inuyasha thought as he went out the front door.

"Hi, Kagome!" Kagome's best friend, Sango, yelled. Sango was also a freshman, but was a couple months older than Kagome. She had her hair up in a ponytail, had a black t-shirt with a picture of her kitten, Kilara, with a pair of worn blue jeans, and a pair of black tennis shoes. "How hard do you think the exam is going to be?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to study before I take it," Kagome answered as she opened up the text book.

"You're going to run into someone, if you walk down the hall with your nose in that text book," Sango said, stating the obvious.

"Well, they better stay out of my way!" Kagome said as she walked down the hallway with her nose, still in the text book. When she turned the corner, she ran into something hard.

`This school doesn't look that bad,' Inuyasha thought as he walked down the halls with schedule in hand. `Let's see I have Science first,' he thought as he turned the corner. As soon as he turned the corner, he hit something….soft.
