Kagome was speechless; this had to be some sick joke that Naraku was playing on her! He couldn't actually want to spend time with her? Rape her, yes. Have a relationship, no!

"I don't want to spend time with you, you tried to rape in a cave and make Inuyasha and I hate each other, I don't want anything to do with you."

Her voice was as steady as she could make it but she was still nervous and it showed.

"I'm sorry about what happened in the cave but you are just so beautiful I couldn't help myself, and the only reason that I deceived you and the hanyou is because he does not deserve to have your affection. He is still in love with Kikyou and ignores the prize in front of him."

"Your lying, I know he cares for me. I'm his best friend."

"Yes, a friend, but you desire to more than friends with him don't you? You want his passion, his love?"

"It's none of your business what I desire!"

She jerked her head away from him and stood up.

"He's coming for me, he'll save me."

"But you don't need saving, since I brought you here you have been well clothed and fed, have I done anything to hurt you?"

"N-no."

"And he is with Kikyou, I'm sure Kagura has told you this, he wants my half of the Sacred Jewel to become full demon and give Kikyou a new body."

"You're lying again! He doesn't even know if he wants to be full demon anymore!"

"But do you know if he will not use it to give Kikyou a new body?"

"No."

"He would leave you for her, and you would be heartbroken." He stood up and slowly made his way to her. He reached out and caressed her cheek with his hand.

"I would not leave you, I would give you that passion that you want."

He froze in his actions when Kagome fixed him with a glare.

"And what about love? Do you even know what that is?"

She walked pass him out the door and made her way to her bedroom. When she got there Kagura was sitting on her bed waiting for her. Kagome threw herself into the older girls arms and cried.

Back in the other room Naraku still stood there looking at the door Kagome had just vanished through.

`She is stronger than I thought, its going to take time to turn her. But I have other matters to deal with, her friends are getting too close.'

Inuyasha was back at the camp now and he had to admit that he felt liberated telling Kikyou the truth. He jumped back into his tree waiting to hear from Miroku on how Sango was doing, but found his thoughts going in the direction of Kagome and the new problem that Kikyou had `nicely' brought to their attention.

`Please hold for me Kagome, you're strong fight him if he try's to touch you. I'll stay with you anyway even if he does violate you, but I would still like to be your first, then you can be my first too.'

He was pulled from his thoughts when he smelled Sango and the others coming and his ears picked up the sound of dragging? And sure enough there was Sango dragging an unconscious Miroku behind her with Kirara and Shippou in tow.

"Let me guess, he tried to make your ass feel better?"

"Yep, but only succeeded in letting me take some of my angry out on him."

"Sango I'm sorr-."

"Save it, the hentai already told me that you want to stay with Kagome."

"Yeah but we have to get her back first."

"We will if the that bitch is leading us in the right direction." She said this as she none too gently drop the leg she had been dragging Miroku by.

"I told her about my decision and she said that she would still help."

"I still don't trust her."

"I know how you feel and I'm not asking you to."

"Good, now lets get some sleep."

He jumped back into his tree as Sango lay down to sleep. He had his eyes closed when he felt a small weight on his shoulder and opened his eyes to see Shippou perched there.

"What is it kid?"

"Are you really going to mate Kagome?"

"Yeah, got a problem?"

"No, I was just wondering that if Kagome's my new mommy and you mate her, doesn't that make you my new dad?"

Inuyasha was taken aback, he hadn't thought of how this would effect Shippou, but truth be told, he liked the kid, hell had even grown to love him, so it was okay with him.

"Yeah, I guess that does make you my pup."

"I'm glad, can stay up here with you?"

"Sure."

Shippou snuggled closer to Inuyasha's chest and closed his eyes.

"Um daddy, we're going to find mommy right?"

"Yeah we'll find her."

"Are you going to train me now?"

"Sure."

"Does this make Sesshoumaru my uncle?"

"Grrrr nooo."

"But he's your brother?"

"Shippou shut up and go to sleep."

"Okay just ten more minutes."

"No"

"Five more minutes?"

"No"

"Two more minutes?"

"No"

"One more minute?"

Inuyasha slapped his hand over his mouth and keep it there. They all fell in into a peaceful sleep completely unaware of the dead eyes that just watched that little scene play out.

`So Inuyasha you would give that girl your love, children, and even adopt a child that's not your own? All the things you would deny me. Kagome you will die at my hand, I will not live in a world where you have everything and I have nothing.

That was soooo cute!! Inuyasha and Shippou are so good together, well not as a couple but in the father, son thing.
