One Night Leads To A New Future

 

Chapter 1

 

Mistake

 

Drinking often leads to nights of fun. Sometimes it also leads mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes can lead to better things...

 

 

 

Kagome walked into a somewhat shady bar. She wasn't having a good day and wanted to drink herself better, anything to make her forget about her horrible life. Any place that served alcohol looked great to her. Looking throughout the place she found an empty area at the bar. The bartender asked what she wanted and gave her a drink.

 

“What the hell are you doing in this place?” Someone from behind her asked.

 

Kagome turned around and looked. It was an old acquaintance from work that she hadn't seen in a long time and would've been perfectly happy if it stayed that way. She worked with him for a while. “What's it to you Inuyasha?” She said as she turned around and finished her drink, then ordered another.

 

“This place isn't for women like you.” He said as he sat down next to her. He had been walking by thinking when he glanced through the window and saw her. At first he thought his eyes were playing tricks with him. Kagome was a moral type woman, not the drinking type.

 

“What does it matter to you? Why are you here? Trying to take advantage of women like me?” She snapped and emptied the glass once again.

 

“I saw you through the window.” Inuyasha said. “It's been a while since I've seen you.”

 

“As I recall our meetings ended and that was that. Our business was over and there was nothing more to it.” Kagome snapped. “Not to mention the fact that you were an ass.”

 

“I was having a bad day...well year actually.” Inuyasha defended himself and ordered a drink. He only met the girl a few times at work but from what he remembered she didn't drink at all. “Aren't you drinking a little too much?”

 

“Not like it's any of your business but no.” Kagome said and ordered another drink. “Too much is when I've died of alcohol poisoning, and by then I won't care.”

 

“Seems like you've been having a bad day.” Inuyasha said.

 

“More like a bad life.” Kagome let her head drop on the bar at the memory not caring if it hurt.

 

“What's wrong?” He asked sincerely. He never liked women who were sad, especially one who was usually cheerful all the time even at work, especially while being around him. He wasn't exactly prince charming towards her.

 

“Well about a month after our last meeting I was engaged.” Kagome spat. “I'm supposed to get married in two months.”

 

“Married? If you don't want to marry him then dump his ass.” Inuyasha said.

 

“I wouldn't have even accepted his proposal if it weren't for my father.” Kagome said. “I mean I barely know the guy.”

 

“What the hell does your father have to do with it?” Inuyasha asked ordering another drink for both himself and Kagome.

 

“If I don't marry him then my father will cut me off of all funds. He'd also make sure I would never work anywhere ever again. `It's for the good of the company'” Kagome mocked her Father's voice. “So unless I want to be homeless then I have to marry. There's no way of stopping him. He doesn't stop until he gets his way.”

 

“Who are you marrying?” Inuyasha asked. He knew the power of her father. His business rivaled his brother's.

 

“Naraku, Vice President of the company. He's wormed his way through my father.” Kagome said and ordered another drink.

 

“Well if I can help in any way let me know.” Inuyasha said.

 

“You could kill my pervert of a fiancé.” Kagome said. “He doesn't even have the decency to wait until our wedding night.”

 

“You should still dump his ass.” Inuyasha snorted.

 

“Where would I go? Where would I work?” Kagome asked. “If I didn't have to worry about that stuff then I wouldn't marry him. He's not even home and our wedding isn't far away.”

 

“He's not even here?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“No, he's on a business trip in Hong Kong. He won't be back for a month.” Kagome laid her head on the table. “That bastard.”

 

“I'd rather risk being homeless than marry him.” Inuyasha said.

 

“It's tempting...” Kagome said as she lifted her head and downed the rest of her drink.

Kagome fumbled with the lock on her door. She finally got the key in the hole and opened it. Once inside she threw the keys and her purse on the floor. Inuyasha stumbled in after her shutting the door and locking it, both of them were laughing uncontrollably. He grabbed her waist and swung her around pushing her against the door. He chuckled when she almost tripped over her shoe.

 

After drinking themselves drunk Kagome had invited him over. At first Inuyasha declined but then with his inhibitions lowered thanks to the alcohol a night with a beautiful young woman seemed like a blessing. They both walked to her apartment since it wasn't too far away and the night breeze felt great. Neither of them was sober enough to get a taxicab.

 

Inuyasha held her hands up above her head as he lowered his head to kiss her. Neither was hesitant as their lips touched. On the contrary they both hungered for each other, needed each other. Neither of them had ever felt this passionate in their life. This wasn't a fling moment for either of them but it wouldn't be until later that they would realize...

 

At the moment the only thing on their minds were each other. Reality had been lost to them as soon as they stepped into the apartment. Kagome moaned as his hands began roaming her body. The standard three-piece suits were starting to irritate the both of them. Kagome grabbed his hand and led him to the bedroom. She let him in and shut it. She didn't have to worry about anyone coming home since her `fiancé' would be gone for a month.

 

Inuyasha didn't even take a look around the room. He grabbed her hand and pulled her closer. He unbuttoned her suit jacket and dropped it on the floor. They both fumbled with each other's clothes, trying desperately to remove them and feel each other skin. Finally after minutes of fumbling they stopped and removed their own clothes, feeling somewhat stupid for not thinking of it earlier.

 

Inuyasha took no time in pushing her onto the bed. He pressed his lips against hers forcefully causing her to moan. He first went with the task of ridding her of the rest of her clothes. With one hand he was able to unhook her bra and tossed it across the room. He quickly rid her of her panties, which also ended up tossed across the room.

 

He looked her up and down. She was a goddess. Her long raven black hair, her hourglass figure, perfect breasts, long slender legs. Every part of her was perfect. He leaned down towards her ear and blew on it. “You're beautiful.” He whispered before pulling back and smiling.

 

“So are you.” She smiled. Her thoughts were almost the same as his. He was a god. His long silver hair, enchanting amber eyes, well toned body. She'd never been so attracted to anyone before. Although she was drunk she was still sober enough to realize that much. She pulled on his hair to bring him closer and kiss him once again.

 

Inuyasha did as she wished and kissed her. He nibbled on her lips for entrance, which she quickly granted. He slipped his tongue inside her mouth and they battled for dominance neither of them would ever win but neither willing to back down either.

 

With all clothing out of the way they could feel each other the way they wanted to. Kagome's hands immediately went to his well-toned chest, fingers tracing along each defined line causing him to shiver. Even through the shapeless business suit you could tell he had muscles and she was able to touch them.

 

Inuyasha's hands molded over her breasts, massaging them, making her moan and arch her back in pleasure. He left her lips in favor of kissing a line down past her neck to the valley of her breasts. He removed his right hand and covered her breath with his mouth. Kagome moaned louder and sunk her fingers into his hair.

 

Kagome pulled his hair lifting his head so that he was level with her and pulled him down for another kiss. She was heated and she wanted him now. “Inuyasha...” She moaned.

 

Inuyasha got the hint and spread her legs with his knee. He rested his weight on his forearms and positioned himself above her entrance. He leaned down to give her a gentle kiss before slowly entering her. They both moaned at the feeling and held onto each other tight.

 

For Kagome the feeling was incredible but slightly painful. She figured it would hurt somewhat considering it was her first time. The pain wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. A tear fell from each eye as he broke passed her barrier. He leaned down and kissed her as an apology.

 

Soon enough the pain subsided and all she felt was incredible pleasure. That's all either of them felt. A steady pace was set and the room filled with their passion. They were both incredibly hot and covered in sweat from their actions. Both of them could feel a heat building up, a promise of something better if they kept going.

 

After a while they were both growing tired and overheated. Kagome suddenly felt as if she fell from reality. As she hit her first orgasm the pleasure maximized to it's highest and she screamed out his name, gripping his shoulders, her inner muscles tightened.

 

Inuyasha felt her come and thrusted into one more time before releasing his seed inside of her. He collapsed on top of her exhausted but feeling content. They both laid motionless trying to catch their breath. Inuyasha was the first to move. He moved off of her and laid to the side. He kissed her temple and wrapped an arm around her.

 

Kagome soon fell asleep with a smile on her lips, hugging Inuyasha. After a while reality hit Inuyasha hard as he watched the beautiful woman sleep in his arms. He had just slept with an engaged woman. He barely knew her and let alcohol lessen his better judgment. Not that he regretted it but he feared that she would. She had just been complaining about her life. How would this make anything easier?

 

As much as he hated to leave Kagome, he needed to leave. He had work in the morning, not to mention he was in her apartment. The one she shared with her fiancé. He gently moved Kagome off of him and onto the pillow. He found a notebook and pen, writing a note, and quickly got dressed.

 

Before leaving he walked over to Kagome one last time and kissed her on the lips. He pulled the blanket up over her and took one last look at her before leaving...

The next morning Kagome woke up with an aching head. She sat up and put a hand on her forehead. She groaned and then gasped when she remembered what happened last night. She looked around for Inuyasha and didn't see him at all. Not wanting to walk around naked she grabbed her robe from inside the closet and began walking out of the room. Before she reached the door she noticed the notebook. Inuyasha had left a note...

 

In the note he wrote that he was sorry for leaving and that he had to go to work. He left his phone number and address as well. Kagome smiled and tore the page out of the notebook. He didn't live too far from her. She would have to memorize his number and address because if Naraku found it who know what he would do...

 

Kagome decided to take a shower. Her muscles were sore and she was sticky from the sweat.

Kagome stepped out of the shower and dried her hair. She stopped when she heard a noise. She pulled on her robe and tied it before walking out of the bathroom. The noise was coming from the living room. It sounded like someone was inside the apartment. As soon as she stepped into the living room she collided into someone and instinctively tried to hit the person. Her fist was caught and she gasped as she saw who it was.

 

“Naraku!”

 

“Very nice welcome.” Naraku said sarcastically. He looked at what she was wearing and shook his head. He leaned towards her and kissed her roughly on the lips. He pulled back and let go of her wrists. “So you walk around naked while I'm gone?”

 

“No! I just got out of the shower and heard something. I didn't know it was you! You're supposed to be gone until the first of next month!” Kagome said.

 

“I decided to come back and cancel. Our wedding isn't too far away and it would be wrong of me to be gone for a month.” Naraku smiled. He pulled her flush up against him and looked down her open robe. “I thought we could spend some time together before...”

 

“That's nice.” Kagome sighed and lifted his chin so he was looking at her. Luckily the phone rang so she wouldn't have to yell at him about his inappropriate glances. She walked over to the phone and answered it. “Moshi, moshi.” She answered. Naraku sighed and grabbed his bags to take them to the bedroom. She watched as he left the room.

 

“Kagome?”

 

“Inuyasha!” Kagome said in surprise. She covered her mouth and looked to see if Naraku had heard. If he did he wasn't going to check on her. “What are you calling for?”

 

“I called to see how things were going. I did leave suddenly...” Inuyasha said.

 

“I'm fine but-”

 

“Who is it?” Inuyasha heard someone interrupt Kagome. He assumed it was Naraku home early.

 

“Hai, it's ok.” Kagome said and hung up the phone. “Wrong number.”

 

“It takes that long to find out it's a wrong number?” Naraku asked suspiciously.

 

“The number they had was this one and they were asking if someone had moved.” Kagome quickly lied.

 

“I see.” Naraku said. “I'm going to unpack my things then.”

 

“Hai, I'll change really fast and then cook breakfast. I'm sure your hungry.” Kagome said. She walked into the bedroom and shut the door, locking it so he couldn't come in. She sighed once the door was shut. She was lucky he didn't see through the lie or question her further. Now she had to talk to Inuyasha...
