[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
A/N: I don't own Inuyasha, but I would like to stop for a moment to thank everyone for reviewing...(pauses for one second)...okey, now that that's over with...
A black motorcycle skidded to a stop and a silver haired man stepped off of it as he surveyed the scene around him. People were running around, some panicing and some trying to help out as others fled the burning building. He slowly raised the visor of his helmet long enough to remove his sunglasses before replacing his visor and walking calmly toward the building.
He looked around and sniffed the air. He followed the scent of burning flesh to a large metal door. He kicked the door down and walked slowly to a small bedroom where a child was huddled in the far corner, shaking.
"It's alright! I'm here to help!" Inuyasha growled across the room as he hurried over to the child and lifted him up. Moments later the child found screamed as he and the man who claimed to be helping him dropped three stories to the ground below. There was a loud crack as the sidewalk split below the hanyou's feet. He stood up straight and set the kid down before slowly turning back to the building.
"My mommy's still inside!" the child cried. Inuyasha's eyes widened under his helmet and he jumped back up to the window. He looked around the flame filled room, sniffing the air again. There was too much smoke, he couldn't smell anything. He looked around the room one more time before running through the open door to the living room. He cleared that room then ran to the next bedroom where he found a young woman screaming as flame surrounded her.
"Stay still!" Inuyasha yelled.
"Help!" the woman cried, backing into a wall.
Inuyasha looked around. At his side was a large dresser with a large mirror on it. He lifted up the heavy mirror and used it to fan a path and ran toward the woman. As soon as he was a few feet from her he wrapped his arms around her protectively and pulled out a sawed off shotgun from his side holster.
"What are you doing!" the woman screamed.
"Hold on!" he growled, pointing the gun up at the cieling and pulling the trigger. She did as she was told and wrapped her arms around his waist. He held her to him as he jumped through the now weakened cieling and onto the roof. He looked around at the only place in the entire building that had not been burned before jumping back down to the ground with the woman in his arms. He deposited her on the ground next to her crying son before walking quickly to his bike.
"Thank-" she was cut off by the loud sound of Inuyasha starting up his bike. "-you..." she said softly to herself as she hugged her son to her.
"Keh!" Inuyasha took off down the street back toward the police station.
"Nice work again Inuyasha!" Jen said cheerfully as he walked into the large building.
"Feh," he smirked as he pulled his helmet off and walked toward his room.
"Seriously, that was a four alarm fire and you were able to make it in and out without losing a single person," she said, following him down the long hallway.
"Yeah? Well I had help," he said smiling.
"Really?" the woman asked, intrested. "From who?"
"A five year old," Inuyasha said sarcastically.
"Really?" Jen looked at him sceptically as he walked into his room and turned around at the door.
"Sure, he told me where his mother was," he slammed the door on the doctor's face and she winced.
"Nice one Yash," she called through the door. He smirked again.

Kagome stared at her test and sighed. This was the third time this week that she had failed a test because she had forgotten to study. She looked up at the clock and sighed again. She had thirty seconds left and only one answer on the paper. 'School sucks...' she thought to herself as she put her pencil down on the desk and started her temples with her palms.
"Miss Higurashi? Your test please?" Kagome looked up to see her teacher smiling down at her.
"Oh, right...here," she said, handing the almost blank piece of paper to the man.
The man took one look at the paper and looked down at her. "This is the third time this week Kagome. What have you been doing?"
Kagome shook her head and buried her head in her arms.
"Not studying it would seem," the teacher said, frowning as he walked to the next student and collected that student's test.
Kagome looked up again at the clock and watched it as it ticked away the seconds until the end of school, then the bell rang. "Finally!" she said, stretching as she stood up from her desk and hurried quickly out of the classroom.
"I expect better next week!" her teacher called after her. She nodded to herself and ran toward the door of the school to meet up with her friends, Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi.
"Hey, Kagome!" the girls greeted at the same time.
"Hi, guys," she said, smiling as the small group walked out of the building.
"So, Kagome, how're things going with Houjo?" Eri asked with a mischeivious smile.
Kagome turned bright pink. "What's that supposed to mean?" she said defensively as they turned a corner.
"You guys're totally perfect for each other!" Ayumi said in her usual (creepy) cheerful tone.
"Yeah, sure," Kagome smiled momentarily before frowning. "That is, unless you're talking about me and Houjo..."
"Oh come on, Kagome," Ayumi said, smiling. Kagome stopped and watched as the other three walked a few yards before stopping and turning around.
"I told you guys before, I'm not interested in Houjo!" she growled.
"Kagome look out!" The young girl looked around. She was in the middle of the street and traffic had just started moving again. She froze, not knowing what to do as an eighteen wheeler came skidding toward her.
"GET DOWN!!!" a voice growled behind her. Before she had time to react, she was forced down roughly by the neck as a man flipped easily over her. She looked up from her place on the ground to see a silver haired man dressed in all black catch the speeding truck by the bumper and lift it over a yard above the ground.
Everyone within a block of the man stopped breathing and dropped everything they were holding as he set the now motionless truck down onto the ground.
"Subtle," a red haired woman said, walking toward him. "Very subtle." She grabbed him by the arm and led him away toward the side walk.
Kagome jumped to her feet and chased the two people to the next corner. "Wait!"
Both turned around and the man resecured his hat on his head before looking up at her. "What?"
"I didn't get a chance to thank you," she said, shyly.
"Well now you have," he said, turning away.
"How'd you do that?" the girl asked, not taking her eyes off of the ground.
"That's for me to know," the man said jumping quickly to the roof above him and dissapearing.
Kagome looked to the red haired woman. She smiled weakly before taking off down the street.

"Inuyasha! What the hell was that back there?" Jen yelled as the two entered the laboratory.
"Keh," he brushed the question off as he pulled his jacket off and threw it onto one of the nearby tables.
"You could have completely blown your cover!"
"Oh yeah? What cover?" he countered as he pulled out his gun form his belt holster and unloaded it.
"Your cover as a normal human being!" she yelled, not paying attention to what she was saying.
"Oh yeah!?" He turned to her. His eyes filled with pain as he spoke. "Is this what you're talking about?" he asked, his voice accusing as he raised his hat from his head. "Or maybe it's these!" he said pointing to his eyes. "No? What about these?..,.Or these?" he yelled, motioning to his fangs, then his claws.
Jen just shook her head, retreating toward the door.
"What about this?" the hanyou lifted up one of the heavy steel tables that had been bolted to the ground.
"Inuyasha..." she choked, still backing away.
"What?!" he growled, throwing the table back at the ground. He looked over at her and immediatly his anger faded away. She was crying...because of him. "Keh!" He turned away and walked quickly to the nearest window and jumped out.
A/N: I might add more chapters before this one about Inuyasha learning, but that won't be until the plot is written out completely.
