A/N: As an answer to one of my reviews, the reason she's crying is because she's afraid of him and I needed a reason for him to get the hell out of that building...I'm using a scene from another of my fics because I'm too lazy think of a different one.

Inuyasha stuffed his hands into his pockets, breathing in the cold night air as he walked. He pulled one of his hands out and looked at his watch...midnight. 'Damn.' He turned into a small park and sat down on one of the benches. There was no going back until six o'clock when the building opened up again. He sat down on one of the benches and sighed. There was nothing to do.

"AAAAAAAAAGH!!!" Inuyasha looked up toward the direction of the scream and saw nothing. He stood up and ran as fast as he could toward the sound. He ran a few blocks before turning a corner and looking down a small alley. There, two men were kneeling over a bloody woman, holding baseball bats. Inuyasha sighed and dissappeared, reappearing behind the men.

"Beating women is frowned upon these days. Ya'know that right?" He smirked. Both men turned around and stood up.

"Who tha fuck're you?" one of the men yelled, holding up his bat.

"I'm Inuyasha. Pleasure's all mine," Inuyasha said, holding his hand out.

"Hey, man," one of the men said to the other, fear filling his voice. "I heard about this Inuyasha guy. We should get the hell outta here!"

"Like hell!" the first man yelled, charging toward Inuyasha.

The hanyou smirked and caught the bat in mid-swing, sending it flying along with it's owner through a brick wall with one quick round-house kick. He turned back to the second man and smiled. "I'd run if I were you," he said in the most innocent voice he could fake. The man nodded and ran as fast as could down the alley only to be clothslined by a frowning Inuyasha. "Then again, I was never one to let a criminal go." the hanyou lifted the unconcsious man up by the neck and cuffed him to a dumpster before turning back to the unconscious woman on the ground nearby.

He walked over to her slowly and kicked her gently on the side, rolling her over so that she was on her back. "Aw, damnit!" he sighed as he knelt down to lift the bleeding girl up bridal style. "Stupid little girl! She had to be out at this time..." he growled to himself as he walked toward the side walk. He walked back to the park and set her down on the bench he had been sitting on to search her for a wallet. When he found one, he pulled it out and looked at her school I.D. before replacing it in her pocket.

He looked around. 'Higurashi...Higurashi...Higurashi Shrine?' he thought to himself, trying to figure out where to take her. He lifted the girl up again and jumped high into the air.

Mrs. Higurashi looked up from bitting her nails and hurried quickly to the door as a small doorbell sounded. Her eyes widened at the sight in front of her. Her daughter was covered with blood and being carried by a silver haired man wearing all black military gear. She stood back, silently letting him into the house and watched as he set the young girl down on the couch.

"W-what happened?" the older woman asked, holding her hand to her mouth.

"She was attacked by some idiots with bats," the hanyou said, walking into the kitchen and grabbing a roll of paper towels and filling a bowl with warm water. "She'll be fine. Nothing's broken," he continued calmly as he walked back into the living room and wiped the girls face off carefully with a damp paper towel. 'She's prettier without the blood.' he thought to himself, remembering what she had looked like the day before.

"Who are you?" Inuyasha looked up again to see a young boy standing next to his mother at the doorway.

"My name's Inuyasha," he said evenly as he went back to cleaning off the girls face. "I'm just here to make sure your..." he looked from the girl to the young boy then back, thinking. "....sister, I'm guessing, makes it out of this without brain damage."

"Brain damage?" the mother gasped.

"Unlikely. She didn't get hit directly in the head," the hanyou said, surveying the girl's head carefully. "Just small scrapes. It looks worse than it is."

"Than why're you still here?" the boy asked before being shushed by his mother.

'It's my fault she got hurt,' he thought to himself before quickly lying to the family. "I'm just being careful." He stood back and watched as the girl on the couch began to regain consciousness and opened her eyes slowly.

"Wh-what happened?" she groaned, rubbing her head.

"You just got hit by a train," the hanyou joked.

"That's what it feels like," she mumbled, looking up at the silver haired man staring down at her. "You never did answer my question earlier."

Inuyasha smirked and turned back to the family of the beaten girl. "Where's her room? She should rest."

"It's upstairs, first room to the left," the older woman said, pointing up the stairs.

Inuyasha nodded before slowly lifting the girl up and carrying her to her room and setting her down on her bed. He then stood up straight and looked around. "Nice room." He looked up at the pink wall paper before walking toward the window. "Suits you..."

"What?" Kagome looked slowly up at him. "Girly?"

"Nope," he looked out the window, surveying his landing sight. "Naive," he opened the window and was about to step out when the girl spoke again.

"Where're you going?"

"Nowhere." He sighed and looked around. "I've got nowhere to go 'till six or seven," he said, looking at his watch.

"Why don't you stay here?" the girl asked, smiling weakly. "We've got no extra rooms, but you can stay in here if you want to," she said hopefully.

Inuyasha looked out the window again, then down at the girl before sighing and pulling a thin metal box from a hidden pocket at the side of his pants. "Fine, but you have to do something for me," he said, frowning in concentration as he pulled something out of the small box.

She looked up at him hopefully. "What?"

"You have to let me heal you."

She tilted her head to the side and nodded slightly. "Okey," she agreed slowly.

"Great," he smiled, kneeling down next to her. She felt a small prick on her arm and a small amount of pressure before suddenly, everything started spinning and she fainted.

A/N: Heal her?
