Kagome slowly opened her eyes and blinked as two golden eyes came slowly into focus.
Inuyasha smirked and sat back into his chair. "Try to move around." She nodded and stood up. She felt lighter than she had before...stronger.
"What'd you do to me?" She looked down at her arms, then her stomach and her eyes went wide and she gasped. 'I have a six pack!'
Inuyasha chuckled softly. "I injected you with some of my blood," he explained. "It can change your anatomy if you get enough of it."
"Did I?" she asked, still looking for a scratch or even a bruise from the previous nights fight.
"Uh...technically no."
"Technically?"
"You did get some small changes."
"What were they?" she glared at him accusingly.
"As you can see, your muscle mass has been multiplied by two. Also, your cells move a little bit faster," he looked out the window. "But, that's all only temporary..."
Kagome frowned. "Only temporary?"
"You know, if you keep repeating everything I say, this conversation's going to take twice as long." He looked up at her. "But, yes. It is only temporary, because your body can't support the new cells in your body. The cells I injected take up too much energy for your body to generate so they'll just die and harmlessly float away when you...well, you get the point."
"That's not fair," she looked down at her new muscles then back up at the hanyou. "So what are you anyway?"
Inuyasha frowned. "I..." he stopped and looked down at the floor. "...don't know."
Kagome sat back down on her bed. "You don't know?"
"See, I was right. This conversation is taking twice as long," he growled softly, looking at his watch. He stood up and lifted up the nearby window. "You're all better now, so my work is done. I'll be going now."
"Will I ever see you again?" She looked up at him hopefully.
He looked down at her and smiled slightly. "We'll see." He placed a small card on her bedside table before jumping through the window.
