Kagome ran through the woods, her eyes filled with tears. "How could I have been so stupid?!?!" she fumed to herself "I should never have let my mom convince me that jerk actually liked me!! Of course Inuyasha would never like me, I'm just the reincarnation of that undead priestess bitch!". She realized that she had no idea where she was going so she stopped running and slumped sideways against a tree, shutting her eyes.

Kagome started to drift into sleep when she felt clawed arms close around her and lift her up. "Inuyasha," she gasped, opening her eyes. When there was no response she looked down and saw the arms holding her had large purple stripes all along them. Kagome felt fear rising in her chest.

"Sesshoumaru," she whimpered softly. Sesshoumaru leaned his head down so Kagome could see it, a smirk spread across his face. "You've been crying. What did my idiot brother do now?" Sesshoumaru asked, still smirking. Kagome's mouth hung open in shock. "Interesting, whenever you were with my brother I remember you're mouth wouldn't stop moving." Sesshoumaru leered. Kagome shut her mouth, closed her eyes and crossed her arms defiantly. She didn't care if he was a powerful Youkai, she wasn't going to let him intimidate her. "Well?" he sneered. Kagome kept her mouth closed. She wouldn't tell him what had happened so he could gloat over how stupid he thought Inuyasha and her were. She felt a claw dig into her skin and draw blood but didn't say anything. "Well if you can't even hold a conversation then I guess we should go," Sesshoumaru mocked, roughly picking her up bridal style before starting to dart through the woods.
