Popping Popping Popping… A lot here recently... Okay, I'm a little on the crazed mind right now, so I don't know where my ranting is going to lead. My neck hurts because my mum made me sleep in my bed last night. Think of how that feels after sleeping on the couch for 2 whole weeks… Heaven? I think not! I woke up this morning to aching and, granite, very warm and comfy, but still very sore. Well, you can tell by the way I'm titling this chapter some two people here are related…I'm eating a Fudge round, he he. MINE! No touchy the fudge round! Grrr.

Chapter 3

 

WERE RELATED?!?!

Sarah groaned and sat up, cracking her back bones into place. She blinked and looked around to find everyone asleep. Sango was curled up with Kirara, and Miroku was sitting against the wall with his staff across his chest, looking as if he was having a very pleasant dream. Kagome was sleeping a near the fire, Shippo curled up next to her, and Inuyasha had his famous stance, looking at Sarah with one eye.

 

“Get back to sleep.” he ordered gruffly. She glared at him and shook her head, crossing her arms defiantly. He sighed and stood, motioning her to follow him out of the hut. She nodded and stood, glancing at the others before exiting the hut. She sat beside him on the porch, leaning back on her arms as she looked over the forest. They were silent for a moment, just gazing at the night time wonders.

 

“How do you know so much about us?” asked Inuyasha, not even looking at her. She smiled and shook her head, not really thinking. She brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, sighing.

 

“You might as well ask why the world turns, or why demons, half-demons, and humans exist. I just do.” she answered in a soft voice. She heard him chuckle softly.

 

“You act a lot like Kagome.” he told her. She smiled again and shook her head.

 

“In my world, they say I act a lot like a dog…A bitch, if you will.” she told him. “We know who you are. We know about this place, about what goes on here, about everything that includes you and Kagome…They say I act more like you, though I do act like Kagome.” she explained.

 

“So that's how you know about us?” he asked her.

 

“My best friend first introduced me to this…place. I became obsessed with it. I learned about everyone's weaknesses, their strengths, the relationships.” she laughed. She shook her head and sighed. “This place is like a second home…I drowned myself in discovering a whole new world that didn't even exist… I guess that's how I got here.”

Inuyasha stayed silent for a moment, thinking on her words.

 

“Maybe someone else from your world would come here.” he said. She shook her head and frowned. “Why not?” he asked her.

 

“My world, right now, is probably covered in smoke and fire….I doubt that anyone would be thinking of this place.” he stared at her for a moment.

 

“Why would they be covered in smoke and fire? Is there a war there?” he asked. She smiled sadly.

 

“In my world, there's always war. There's this place, called Yellowstone. It's a very large volcano, and it exploded moments before I came here…I lost my hearing for a moment because it was so loud. My world is in probably chaos.” she told him, thinking on it. He nodded and his ear twitched.

 

`Kagome's awake.' he thought. He heard her move to lean against the mat, and cocked his head toward her to let her know he could tell she was there.

 

“So that bad, huh?” he said to her.

 

“Feh, it doesn't bother me. It's not my problem, now is it?” she said in a very Inuyasha like way. Said person chuckled at her and sighed.

 

“What are we going to do with you, wench?” She grinned and shrugged.

 

“We can take her with us?” offered Kagome, who walked out and sat on the other side of Inuyasha. The two snorted at her, which made her giggle.

“I'll take that as a yes.”

 

“There's really no need, Kagome-chan.” said Sarah, yawning. Kagome shook her head.

 

“No, your coming. It'll be better to have another girl to talk to.” she laughed. Inuyasha and Sarah sighed.

 

“I don't have a say in it, do I?” he asked.

 

“Nope.” Kagome replied, grinning.

 

“Bitch.” he mumbled.

 

“What does that mean?” asked Kagome heatedly. He turned and growled at her.

 

“It means `Bitch'! Or are you so dumb that you don't understand it?” he shot at her. She did a good impression of a growl.

 

“Maybe next time you're sealed in a tree you can get someone else to release you.”

 

“I didn't ask you to!” he growled.

 

“Did too!”

 

“Did not!”

 

“DID TOO!”

 

“DID NOT!”

 

“DID TOO!”

 

“DID -!” a loud thunk from beside them stopped their ranting. They looked over to find that Sarah had fallen asleep. Inuyasha sighed and picked her up, carrying her back into the hut, Kagome following.

 

“Stay asleep this time pup.” he told her as he pulled the blanket over her. Kagome watched as he pushed her bangs from her eyes.

 

“I…Inuyasha?” she asked hesitantly. He looked up and smiled standing and embracing her. (WAY OUT OF CHARACTER!! I KNOW!!)

 

“I fell like I HAVE to protect her, Kagome… I WANT to protect you. Don't worry.” he murmured to her. She smiled and nodded, breathing in his sent. He let her go and moved to sit against the wall, and he extended his hand towards her.

She blushed and took it, allowing him to pull her into his lap. She felt him place his chin on top of her head, his arms encircling her small frame in a protective way.

 

“Go to sleep, Kagome.” he told her. She smiled and nodded, closing her eyes.

Inuyasha grumbled and looked over the group. Kagome was talking with Sango, Shippo and Kirara playing around them. Miroku was walking beside him, looking gloomy and sporting a red handprint on his cheek. Sarah was lounging ahead, her arms behind her head and listening to her Mp3 as she called it. He refused to let her out of his sight, considering she had been marked with intent earlier yesterday. He didn't know why, but he felt as if he knew her before he arrived here. Strange. He inhaled deeply and sighed. This girl was getting to him…Not like Kagome, but in a different way, like family.

She began to hum, which turned to singing. She didn't notice the others were watching her.

 

“Yume de mita anata wa totemo chiisaku

She finished the last of the song, only to smack her cheek, exclaiming in surprise.

 

“What the…?” she removed her hand to find the one, the only, Myouga the flea! Her faced turned to surprise, then to happiness.

“Myouga! How long has it been?” she exclaimed, confusing her companions. Said flea jumped onto her nose, making her cross her eyes to look at him.

 

“Lady Sakura! Lady Sakura! I told Sesshomaru you would return! And mated no less!” he exclaimed at her. She growled and flicked him off her nose, sending him flying into a tree.

 

“I have no mate, flea.” she growled out at him.

 

Inuyasha and company stood, watching the scene before them.

 

“S…Sakura?” he asked, the name sounding very familiar to him. Myouga jumped onto Sarah's shoulder.

 

“If you say so, Lady Sakura. I see your traveling with your brother, Inuyasha. Does he know?” at that point, everyone paused, including Sarah. She slowly turned her head towards the flea, her heart beating a thousand miles per hour.

 

“My….My brother?” she asked shakily.

(I would end it here, but it's just too good!)

 

Myouga frowned, jumping up and down on her shoulder. Inuyasha was there in a second, towering above Sarah and plucked the flea off her shoulder.

 

“Explain flea!” he bellowed at him, evoking fear in his companions, minus Sarah. Myouga laughed nervously and nodded.

 

“Yes, Master.”

They all sat around the lunch Kagome prepared, Myouga perched on Sarah's shoulder. They had stopped for lunch, and let them listen to Myouga's interesting story.

“Okay. You all know that InuYasha's parents were high rulers, his father the lord of the western lands, and his mother a daughter of a noble man.” at their nods, he continued. “They were deeply in love, but out casted by their love for one another. It is said that they conceived only one child…But they really conceived two.

 

“I learned of this a short time after my lords' death, being the fact I had to search out Sesshomaru. When I did find him, he had with him a pup. The pup was half-demon, so I wondered why he had not killed it. The pup was a girl, and at first look she did look like human, her hair the color of a raven, easily hiding her ears. He told me your father searched him out and asked him to take care of the child, to hide the pup from Inuyasha until the time comes. Sesshomaru took in the pup reluctantly, and named her Sakura, for she loved the blossoms of the trees.”

 

Sarah seemed in a trance, watching her hands with emotionless eyes. Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Shippo listened intently, wanting to hear as much as they could. Inuyasha was watching Sarah, but listening to every word his retainer spoke.

 

“I stayed with her, and as she grew, she began to resemble her father, only with her mothers' grace. Not long after her 5th birthday, Sesshomaru put a-“

 

“A concealment spell over her, and sent her to a different world, for the danger of her crossing paths with Inuyasha had gotten too great.” interrupted Sarah, speaking monotone, not even glancing up. “He enlisted the help of a powerful witch, or priestess, to create memories for her. The priestess told Sesshomaru that one day she would return, and though it would be 250 years have passed here, it would be as if only 8 had passes there. The pup would have no memory of whom or what she was, but when told, the memories would resurface, and she will face the undying truth that she always belonged in this world.” her voice cracked.

 

“Sarah…” Kagome whispered. Said girl shook her head and stood, dashing off towards the forest. Myouga jumped onto InuYasha's shoulder, who had stood up to go after her.

 

“No, master Inuyasha. Let her be for now.”

 

“I….She's my… I just can't leave her!” he yelled at the flea, which still shook his head.

 

“Inuyasha, she has just figured out the world she had lived in for some time never was her home in the first pace.” Miroku told him, taking a bite of the omelet he had picked up. “Give her time, she'll be okay.” Inuyasha stood there and sat down reluctantly, picking up and eating some of the food spread out on the blanket.

 

“She better be okay. That pup is more trouble that I am.” he mumbled, keeping his ears trained towards where Sarah had disappeared.

Sarah sat in a tree, exhausted from keeping up with the group and crying. She never let anyone see her cry, and she rarely cried anyway. It was now dusk and they had set up camp not far from where she currently lounged. Over the past few hours she noticed that some demonic characters had appeared. Her nails had grown considerably in a short time, and her fangs had also grown. She was faster and stronger too, she noted, and could see, hear, and smell better. She cursed under her breath as she slipped of her shoes and socks, rubbing her feet gingerly.

 

“Come here.” came InuYasha's voice a few yards away. She stiffened and didn't move. She heard a growl of warning followed by a sharp bark of demand, causing her to jump. She nodded and jumped down from the tree, putting her shoes in the bag Kaede had made for her, and walked towards him. She stopped when she saw him and lowered her head, feeling slightly ashamed. He growled at her and stepped up to her, towering her by a foot or more. She whimpered again as a clawed finger and thumb cupped her chin, forcing her head up. When she didn't meet his eyes, he growled sharper causing her to jump and her eyes lock on his.

 

They stared at each other for a moment before Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her close to him. Her eyes widened and tears leaked from the edges of her now semi gold eyes.

 

“Don't scare me like that, got it?” he told her. He heard her whimper and clutched her tighter. He smelt her tears and growled comfortingly.

 

“O…Onii-chan.” she whimpered as she buried her face in his chest, squeezing her eyes shut. “Su…Sumimasen. Sumimasen.” she apologized over and over again. He stayed quiet and held her as she sobbed into his chest, growling comfortingly to her.

 

Soon her sobs faded and she fell asleep in his arms, clinging to him. He smirked as he picked her up and jumped into the tree behind Kagome, laying her in his lap.

 

“Inu…Inuyasha?” Sarah asked warily.

 

“Yeah, pup?” he asked her, cradling her head under his chin. She giggled a bit and snuggled closer to her new found brother.

 

“Arigato.” she yawned before falling asleep again. Everyone looked up at the two half-demons and smiled. Inuyasha looked back at them and smirked, petting his sisters' hair.

 

“Get to sleep, we have a long way to go.” he said to them. His hair had turned black and eyes violet, all his demon senses and power leaving as the sun went down, but he didn't mind…..He was too busy playing with `Sakura's' newly formed dog ears.

:Stretches: Wow! Almost 5 hours on this! Well, then again I've been reading and stuff. So what do you think???? I think it's actually cool. If you're wondering about Tobu, you know the one who marked `Sakura'? He'll be back in the next chapter… Hehe, I'm evil. And I know, some of the original characters are not the way their supposed to be. And you know what? DEAL!

The part I love most about this is the last paragraph…more like the last two sentences….LOL I laughed my ass off on this. LOL. Anyway, I gotta get started on the other chapter for my second fic, so I gotta get. The 4th chapter shall be soon!!.......Yeah, im nuts.
