**Chap. 17- Stitching up the World

Rai stayed with her day and night, week after week, hoping, praying as the rest stayed in the waiting room. Then as Rai was standing to leave and sleep for a few hours, Kareena opened her eyes. "You came." The whisper was barely audible but it was there and Rai turned back.

His eyes watered as he surrounded her with his arms. "Don't you ever, ever scare me like this again. You hear me?"

"Don't ever leave me again."

"God knows I won't." He whispered, pressing his lips to her forehead. Kagome walked in then.

"Kareena." She whispered, her eyes growing wide. Then Kagome smiled. "Have your time with her. I can stall Kikyou." She let out a laugh then shut the door.

Rai met Kareena's lips with his own. "I will never leave you again."

Kagome walked into the waiting room with out Rai and instantly Kikyou stood from her seat. "Where is he? We are going to be late."

"Put a fucking lid on it. Right now he is in her arms, and all is right in the world. You will not do anything." Kagome said, pushing Kikyou back down into her seat. Her black ears poked out of her head, alert and listening.

"Kagome calm yourself." Darren said laying a hand on her shoulder. She turned and hissed at him baring teeth. He retracted his hand quickly.

"Listen to me wench. He is my boyfriend and I will retrieve him, whether you, or the bitch he's with likes it or not." The other girl spat standing again.

Kagome turned her attention back to Kikyou. "You're not his girlfriend anymore. And the bitch has a name, it's Kareena. Learn it when you report that our band member has woken from her coma." Kagome grabbed the hair at the nape of Kikyou's neck. "As for now you are just a reporter that I don't want to put up with."

She yanked the girl towards the doors of the hospital. "See the wonderful world out there? Go find a story." As Kagome shoved her forward she tripped and fell. "Have a nice day."

Kagome turned to find several doctors and nurses staring at her. She just breezed past them and caught Inu's arm. "I want to go."

"Of coarse, we will be late if we don't leave now."

"Late for what?" Kagome asked, looking up at Inu.

He only smiled. "It's a surprise. All I will tell you is all of us are going. Except for Rai and Kareena."

Kagome laughed "All right. So let's get going."

Inu covered her eyes, Darren helping her from the limo. "I really am not liking this. Let go of me."

"No. It's a surprise." Inu whispered in her ear. He led her to a table, helping her sit in a chair. Darren and Felis sat beside them laughing up a storm.

Kagome sighed, but said nothing. Soon enough the lights dimmed and Inu removed his hands. On stage Sesshoumaru stood a guitar in hand, and his old band behind him. "Oh my God." Kagome whispered.

"Sesshoumaru dropped off an invitation. I thought I'd keep you in the dark, and it'd be a present from me to you." Inu whispered back.

Kagome threw her arms around his neck. "I never thought he'd do it- again."

At that moment, the drums started. Sesshoumaru looked over the crowd then started to sing. His voice was a melody in itself, and Kagome zoned out on the words. She had listened to him before, and he had inspired her, but now- now she liked to think she inspired him.

"Spit Fire, Fireless Love, and Vapor. Is there something wrong with this picture?" The headlines read the next day. The media had gotten a hold of a picture with Kagome and Inu and Sesshoumaru's performance. Kagome picked up one and read the article. "Could the feud between brothers be over? Sources say this was the beginning of the end to it. Vapor's lead singer, Kagome, has fallen in love with Inuyasha of Fireless Love and somehow settled the two rivals down. What did she do?"

Kagome rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you. I did nothing. It was their own will." She whispered, replacing the paper to it's stand and then heading home. The weather was starting to get chilly. Christmas was on it's way.

An: *pouts and feels unloved* When you guys read and don't review it makes me feel like you didn't like it. Sorry to badger you but I don't know what to change if you don't help me… *smiles* If you review I'll put a butt load of Chapters out at one time… *taps fingers together* Please….

I have one more idea floating in my head and I'm not sure if it'll work or not, we'll have to see.
