Chapter Three: The Diary

When Kagome got back to her room she locked the door and pushed some stuff up against it. Then she sat on her bed to read. All the entries were already in order from date.

Dearest Diary,

The weirdest thing has happened to me. About a week ago when I was about to leave for school I found Souta in the well house. It seems Boyuou had went down the steps and wouldn't come back up. Of course Souta being the coward he was wouldn't go down there so I had to go. Boyuou scared me to death brushing against my leg. I picked him up and teased Souta about being a scaredy cat when suddenly arms burst out of the well and pulled me in. Boyuou, that fat old fart jumped out of my arms and ran. I was floating through this haze of purple and pink and the arms (a lot of arms) turned out to belong so some monster half woman half centipede. She was sprouting some nonsense about a Shikon Jewel. I swear diary right before my eyes her lower half made up of centipede bones covered itself with flesh. I screamed and something came out of my hand that made it leave me alone. Suddenly I was at the bottom of the well. I called for Mom, Souta, and Grandpa but no one answered so I climbed out on my own.

Oh no I've got to go Inuyasha's coming. (You'll learn about him later) bye

`Did I really write this,' Kagome thought. The proof was right there on the paper; otherwise someone was really good at forging her handwriting. `Well on to the next entry.'

Dearest Diary,

I'm back again. We won't be interrupted today Inuyasha's mad at me so he'll be gone for a while. So where was I? Oh yeah so when I climbed out I wasn't at home anymore. I was in some forest. So I started walking around and I came upon this giant tree. You'll never guess what I saw. A boy with long, long, long white hair. (I am sooo jealous) The weird thing was he was pinned to the tree with an arrow and there was vines and stuff twisted around him like he'd been there a while. So I climbed up on one of the gigantic tree roots to get a closer look. That's when I noticed he didn't have ears on the side of his face like normal. He had dog-ears sitting atop his head. Can you believe it? I totally got this urge to rub his ears so I did. I mean it's not like he'd mind he was sleep or something.

I gotta go Inuyasha will be back soon and he'll be super hungry. And just between you and me diary Inuyasha is a total babe.

"Wow," breathed Kagome. Her head spun with this crazy tale. "This can't be true." She said to no one in particular. "I mean it sounds like something out of a Manga or an Anime." She checked her watch. "It's been longer than I thought Mom and Souta will be home soon." She put the stuff in front of the door back in they're proper place and hid the diary entries. `I'll read some more later.' She promised herself. She decided to lie down and take a nap. And once again she was dreaming that dream.

"Why can't I have a normal dream for once?" she asked herself. She decided to take her time getting to that locked door. She stopped at all the doors that seemed cheerful and watched her memories play like a movie. "I'll leave the sadder memories for another day." Near the locked door she came across one she hadn't noticed. This door was the only one that was labeled. `My Happiest Memories.' Read the plaque above the door. She walked in the room was filled with more doors. She wanted to look in all of them unfortunately some were locked. "Great more stuff tied in with this Inuyasha guy." She sighed and left the room. "What is with him anyway? Why is he such a big part of my life, how does he fit in? Why do I feel so safe and content when he's speaking to me? And who was the woman who looks like me, and why am I afraid of her? She wandered over to the locked door. Although it was very dim the light was steady. As she approached the door someone stepped out. He was wearing a red hori one she recognized from the picture she'd seen. "Inuyasha I presume?"

OOOOO DON'T YOU JUST HATE ME? FOR STOPPING IT RIGHT THERE, AND FOR NOT UPDATING. WELL IF YOU READ MY STORY PORTALS YOU'D KNOW WHY BUT JUST IN CASE YOU DON'T I SEEM TO HAVE A SEVER LONG TERM CASE OF WRITERS BLOCK. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT'S TAKEN ME TO FINISH THIS CHAPTER? I'M PLANNING TO UPDATE PORTALS AND CAPTIVE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO READ THOSE. AND IF YOU'VE READ FRIENDS LATELY YOU SHOULD KNOW I'M PUTTING IT ON HOLD FOR A WHILE. AT LEAST UNTIL I FINISH PORTALS. YOU GUYS SHOULD REALLY CHECK OUT MY OTHER STORIES. PORTALS, CAPTIVE, FRIENDS AND OF COURSE THIS ONE. JUST SO'S YOU KNOW THEIR ALL INUYASHA STORIES. I'M SO OBSESSED. ^_^;
