Chapter Four: I have to remember!

He smiled. "Do you remember now?" he seemed hopeful.

"Not really but I raided Souta's room and I found like a shrine to you or something." He seemed sad and frustrated.

"You must remember. Come back Kagome, we need you and not just to find the jewel. You brought us all together. Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and best of all you freed me from Kikyou's spell."

"Who's Kikyou?" Kagome asked. "Is she that girl that looks like me?"

"I sorry I ran off whenever she came around. But I couldn't just not see her. I'm drawn to her, but I'm drawn to you more. And if I had to choose between you and Kikyou, I'd choose you." He pulled her into a close hug. Kagome trembled not used to the emotions that washed over her from his touch.

"Why does this feel so right, so perfect?!" she cried afraid of her feelings.

"Hopefully because you have the same feelings for me that I have for you." He kissed her tenderly. "Don't wait to long to come back to me." He began to fade away. "I can't come back for a while, maybe someone else can though." He was gone.

Kagome awoke with a gasp. Her arms tingled as if that embrace had been real, she licked her lips as if she were trying to taste that kiss. And then she felt the tears rolling down her face. "That's it. I have to know what else happened," she pulled the diary entries out, but what had seemed like so many before now seemed so few. The entries became fewer as time went by. There were ones about Shippo the orphaned kistune, Miroku the lecherous monk, Sango the demon exterminator, and Koga the wolf prince. There was one particularly angry one.

Dear Diary,

Sorry I haven't written in so long but you know how busy I am. But I might not be so busy soon. I am so tired of Inuyasha's attitude. Kikyou that look alike hag who belongs in hell or wherever she went when she died. She calls and he goes running. I mean does Inuyasha have a clue? He must know that I'm at least a little attracted to him. But is he pledging to always protect me? No it's that bitch Kikyou who wants to kill him and drag him down to hell. Well good riddance I say. Maybe I should go home for a while. Or better yet I'll go visit Koga that'll give him a taste of his own medicine. Whenever Koga shows up I'll go running to him. See how Inuyasha likes that.

I've got to go. Love,

Kagome

Kagome felt mad just from reading that entry. `I wonder if he's really reformed, like he said.' She thought. She heard her mother calling. "I'll be down in a minute." She called back. After hiding the entries she ran down the stairs two at a time. "Please tell me you got me something." She said.

"Of course we did honey." Said her mother smiling. She held out a bag, in it was the most gorgeous dress Kagome had ever seen.

"Oh my god, I love it. Thanks a bunch." She ran to the downstairs bathroom to put it on then modeled it for her mom.

"You look wonderful Kagome." Said her mom.

"You're the best. I'm gonna go lay down call me when dinner's ready." She ran upstairs and took the dress off. "I have to read this last entry." She told herself.

Dear Diary,

This is the last showdown. We've located Naraku's castle and we're gonna beat him once and for all. Koga's joining us much to Inuyasha's ire. But he has as much a right to Naraku's life as anyone else does. Finally Koga and Sango's families will be avenged. Miroku's curse will end. And Naraku will pay for Kikyou's death. I don't know if I'll survive the fight so I have a message for my family. I love you all; don't grieve to hard for me. I'll go with honor or not at all. I chose for to involve myself in this quest and knew it would come down to this. But in this place, this whole other world I've made friends and met people who are worth dieing for and if I'm destined to die in this battle then I gladly accept my fate and will die for the good of my friends here and for all those I love in the future. I swear on my life Naraku will not survive this battle if I have any say on the matter. I will always bewith you in your hearts and memories. Goodbye.

With all my heart and soul,

Kagome

Once again Kagome found herself with tears running down her face. "Kagome, dinner will be ready in thirty minutes." Called her mother. Kagome opened her mouth to answer but choked on a sob. She managed to swallow it and called back that she was taking a nap. She climbed into bed and pulled the covers over her head. Soon she was having that dream again.

"What is with this? Can't I have a break from this dream? Inuyasha isn't coming so now what? Might as well get it over." She headed toward the locked door not bothering to stop at any other doors. Waiting outside the locked door was a man in purple robes with short black hair.

"Hello Kagome." Kagome cocked her head to the side like a confused puppy.

"Miroku?" He smiled and folded her into a hug his hand conviently landed on her butt.

"Lecher!" Kagome smacked him. Miroku laughed.

"You have no Idea how good it is to hear you say that." He knelt in front of Kagome and took her hand. "I know you've already answered this question but I was hoping it would jog your memory. Kagome, will you bear my child?" Now Kagome laughed and pulled Miroku to his feet.

"You're cute Miroku, but you're not my type." A hand reached through the door and dragged Miroku through.

"Bye Kagome." He called.

"Sorry about that." Sango stepped out. "Listen Kagome it's really important you come back. Things are getting out of hand here. And Inuyasha has been acting weird, he's stopped picking on Miroku and Shippo, and he disappears for a while each day and comes back with a new injury. Both he and Koga limping back using each other as crutches proved my suspicions that he's been off fighting. The reason he can't talk with you now is he's too badly injured. We need you back."

"I'd like to come back and end all these crazy dreams. But how? My diary entries say nothing of how I got to wherever you are." Said Kagome

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you. You need to remember on your own other wise you might be hurt by getting all those memories back suddenly. I have to go now, goodbye Kagome. Come back soon we all need and miss you." Sango stepped backwards into the door.

`Wait a minute. This is my mind right? So whatever I want to happen should happen.' She thought. She closed her eyes and a moment later an axe materialized beside her. She picked it up and went to the room of her happiest memories. She marched over to the first locked door and chopped at it until the door fell away in splinters. But she didn't bother to go in. She went to each locked door in the room and chopped them down. Then she went back to the hallway to the one door that stood between her and a very big part of her life. But when she struck the door the axe only broke. Lots of dynamite materialized around the door. She struck a match and lit it. The door blew outward, large splinters ripped at her clothes and skin. Crying and bleeding she ripped barehanded at what still remained of the door. Then one giant splinter impaled the middle of her forehead. Kagome dropped to her knees holding her head and screaming.

Meanwhile Kagome's mother sent Souta upstairs to wake Kagome for dinner. He knocked and called her name but she didn't answer so he peeked in and raced back downstairs. "Mom! Kagome won't wake up. She's lying in bed twitching and moaning like she's in pain!"

"Oh My God, call 911." She raced upstairs to Kagome.

THIS IS GOING GREAT CONSIDERING I HAVE NO MASTER PLAN FOR IT. JUST WRITING AS I GO ALONG. I TELL YOU I GOT TEARY EYED WHEN I WROTE THE PART FOR THE LAST DIARY ENTRY. ;_;
