Chapter Seven: The Talk With Kikyou

The next day Kagome once again waited for her family to clear out of the house. They left much more promptly than yesterday. As soon as they were gone Kagome jumped into the well. When she climbed out on the other side Kikyou was there waiting for her. "I was told you wanted to speak to me." She said in her cold way.

"I'll get to that." Said Kagome rolling her eyes. She sat on the lip of the well and inspected her nails. "I think I'm due for another manicure, what do you think?" She showed her hand to Kikyou.

"Don't play games with me child. What do you want?"

"In a minute. Don't rush me." huffed Kagome. She pulled out some gum and popped a piece into her mouth. "Have some gum," she gave some to Kikyou. "Chew, don't swallow." Kikyou took it suspiciously and after careful inspection ate it. "So I wanted to talk to you about Inuyasha."

"Inuyasha?" asked Kikyou absently. She was marveling over the wonder that is bubblegum.

"Yeah, about that whole kill him and drag him to hell with you thing. Drop it. Face it, you loved and you lost. Love is a gamble you never know when it'll work out. I mean you're just so pathetic. It's been over fifty years get over it. Inuyasha didn't betray you, Naraku did." Kagome paused the plowed on. "Naraku's already in hell go join him. Because weather I want him or not Inuyasha belongs to me. And I don't share."

Kikyou stared at Kagome. For one there was emotion in her eyes: shock. "You bitch. How dare you speak to me like that? Inuyasha is mine, he always will be."

"Oh please. Inuyasha doesn't want you, he told me himself. Now leave him alone, or I'll purify your ass so quick you won't know what hit you." Kagome turned and stalked off.

"Bitch." Kikyou spat out the gum and walked of in the other direction.

When Kagome reached the village she made her way to Kieade's hut. "Kieade!" she called.

"Ah, Kagome." Kieade entered the hut behind her. "It's lovely to see you again."

"You too. Listen, is Kouga still around?" Kagome asked.

"Yes, I believe he's in the fields behind the village fighting Inuyasha." She answered.

"Thanks Kieade." Kagome ran out. When she reached the fields she was pleased to see Sango and Miroku referring the boys fight. "Hello Sango darling, Miroku." she called walking up.

"Kagome." said Miroku pleased. "Sorry I missed you yesterday."

"That's ok." Kagome startled Miroku by patting him on the butt and continued on into the fields. "Inuyasha, sit." Inuyasha's face greeted the dirt in a way that hadn't happened for a while. Kagome stepped over the sputtering Inuyasha and linked her arm with Kouga's. "Kouga darling we really need to talk, take a walk with me?" she asked sweetly.

"Of course, anything for you my glorious moonrise," answered Kouga. "See ya dog breath, I'll finish whipping you later." he and Kagome walked off.

"And don't follow us Inuyasha or I'll sit you so hard your children will come out with there faces permanently smooshed.

I KNOW IT'S A SHORT CHAPPIE BUT I'M TRYING TO GET BACK INTO THE SWING OF THINGS. MAYBE THE NEXT ONE WILL BE LONGER.
