Kagome was walking on a never-ending path. All that surrounded her was rock walls and fire. From time to time, she heard moaning and screaming. She didn't know what was happening to those poor souls. She hoped with all her heart that InuYasha was okay.
`I have to hurry,' she thought.
All of a sudden she walked into a person. She looked up. The man had a purple crescent moon on his forehead with purple stripes under his eyes. It couldn't be…
“Sesshoumaru?”
Sesshoumaru looked at her with dull eyes. How could he die? What happened to him?
“Sesshoumaru, it's me, Kagome,” she said. Sesshoumaru looked at her unblinkingly. `If he doesn't know who I am, maybe InuYasha is the same,' Kagome thought panicky sort of way. “Damn it Sesshoumaru! How can I get you to remember me?” Kagome shouted.
A low noise came from Sesshoumaru, “Miko powers to moon.” She had to use her Miko powers on his crescent mark? What good would that do?
Her hand touched his crescent moon and pastel colors went into his mind. Sesshoumaru's eyes went back to normal. He looked down at her with his usual look. “What are you doing here human?” he asked.
Kagome replied, “I am here to get InuYasha. How did you die?” Sesshoumaru stiffened.
“I died from a surprise attack,” he said rather coolly. Kagome laughed.
“The great Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands died from a surprise attack? That's rich!” Kagome choked. “So, who's taking care of the Western Lands?” she asked.
“I don't know,” he replied.
“So, you said you're here for InuYasha?” Sesshoumaru changed the subject and Kagome smiled.
“Yes, I am. Do you know where he is?” she asked.
“No,” he replied.
“Well, I thought you might have bumped into him, since you've been here for one to three years,” said Kagome.
Sesshoumaru glared at her and said, “I have two reasons why I haven't seen him. One: you can't remember anything when you're down here and two, hell is a big place. It grows when more people come in here.”
`Shit, this is going to take longer than I thought,' Kagome thought. She was very disappointed. But that wasn't going to stop her.
“Well, since I am now free. I guess I'll go and get my territory back,” said Sesshoumaru. He started to leave when he turned around and mumbled a thank you.
Before Kagome turned around to say your welcome, he was gone. `Well, back to the quest,' Kagome thought. She started to walk on the path again.
