Chapter 6: Caring for another and Breaking Hearts

Sango and Miroku looked at her in surprise. Inuyasha just struggled against the spell. Shippo then let go of his hug. Kagome wasn't scared of him no more. She wanted him to know how it felt to be heart broken and she got the perfect plan. Shippo backed away from her a bit.

Sesshoumaru just kept staring at Inuyasha to make sure he didn't do anything slick. “Kagome what is the meaning of this?” Inuyasha mumbled while his face was in the ground. When the spell was over he got up rubbing the dirt off his face. Sango and Miroku just looked at her with worried eyes.

“Kagome has sworn her loyalty to me.” Sesshoumaru spoke up.

Kagome stood proudly next to him and said, “I'm his personal servant, until I prove worthy of a higher rank.”

Sesshoumaru did a low growl to indicate her to be quiet. “She has no use for you now. She will remain here with me.”

Inuyasha growled. “No she will not! She's coming with us!” he pulled the Tetsiega. He knew Kagome wasn't going to do that again. Sesshoumaru ran back in the castle carrying Kagome in his arms. `Let's see how loyal she is.'

“Mona.” he called from the stairs.

“Sesshoumaru what are. . .”

Mona was carrying a bow and some arrows. `He's testing me?!!'

Sesshoumaru dismissed Mona and walked back to Kagome with a proud smirk. “Let's see how loyal you are?”

Kagome took the bow and arrow that was black and silver. She walked back outside with anger in her eyes. She saw Inuyasha fighting one of the guards. “Sonoske back down!” she yelled.

He turned and ran behind her. He was her favorite guard, if it wasn't for him the message would've not gotten out. She readied her bow at Inuyasha. He stopped chasing Sonoske and looked Kagome in the eyes.

“Kagome did he brain wash you or something? I'm here to rescue him from you!” Inuyasha backed up a bit.

“Inuyasha this is not some kind of joke! I've been with you for three years and I know you from the inside and out.” Kagome looked like she could kill a thousand of demons. Sesshoumaru walked behind Kagome and told Sonoske to go inside.

“Kagome what are you doing?” Sango cried out to her.

Kagome continued to look at Inuyasha. The arrow then glowed pink. She was about to release it until Sesshoumaru stopped her. “Why don't you tell them what's been happening? Tell them why you're here in the first place.”

Kagome lowered the bow and sighed. “Inuyasha that day when you disappeared I went to look for you as usual. What I found disgusted me. It pissed me off. You and Kikyo were fucking like you had no tomorrow. Then I realized you didn't care about me at all.” She paused. “I went back to camp and borrowed Kilala. I begged, literally got on my knees for Sesshoumaru to take me in. I didn't feel ashamed at all. I thought it was what I deserved since you treat me so badly. I was broken but after a day of thinking about it you aren't worth my time.” She aimed the bow back up. “I want you dead Inuyasha, I want you and your bitch dead.” Her eyes were dead serious.

Inuyasha lowered his doggy ears. Kagome charged up her bow and arrow with her untamed miko powers and before she shot an arrow hit her in the side. Every looked towards the direction.

Kagome took the arrow out of her side and blood immediately was on her white kimono. Kagome then ripped the bottom of her kimono and her sleeves. “HOW DARE YOU, YOU BITCH!! I'LL KILL YOU!!”

Inuyasha jumped in front of Kikyo and stopped Kagome from drawing another arrow. She smiled and said, “You two can die together now!”

“Kagome please don't do this.” Inuyasha pleaded with her.

Kagome dropped her bow and arrows. She was pissed off and losing blood quick. That arrow hit one of her vital organs. She then ran towards Kikyo and Inuyasha. She took out a hidden knife she got from her time. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo couldn't say a thing they were all shock. Inuyasha blocked her Kikyo but Kagome used her miko powers to have a barrier around her body, he immediately got out the way.

Kagome smiled when Kikyo tried to kill her with another arrow. Kagome ran her knife straight into her already dead heart. She twisted it in a circle and took it out. She then slit her throat. Kikyo's soul collectors immediately left her side and all the souls Kikyo absorbed were freed. Inuyasha looked into shock. He picked up Kikyo and ran from the castle. Sango, Miroku, Kilala, and Shippo followed.

Kagome laughed. `I will regret this if I live.'

She had to do it to show Sesshoumaru she was loyal. She fell to her knees and closed her eyes. Sesshoumaru shocked she did that snapped out of it when she dropped the knife. Kagome turned around on her knees facing him. “Sesshoumaru it hurts to die.” Kagome fell on her elbows crying and spitting up blood.

`She's about to die. Should I heal her with the Tensiega?' he looked down at Kagome. `She proved worthy of trust. I guess so.'

He pulled out the Tensiega and felt the heart beat of his sword. It lit up blue and he slashed the air once. Kagome felt normal and not in pain anymore. She looked up at him and smiled. “I'm in your dept.”

The blood of her kimono disappeared also and the dirt disappeared form her face. Kagome then fell on the ground anyway because she used too much of her energy. He put his sword away. Sesshoumaru grunted and bent down to pick up Kagome gently.

He walked back into the castle and instead of putting her into her own room he let her lay down with him. `I feel for this human but why?' He left the room to let her rest on her own.

Inuyasha……

`How could she do such a thing? Kagome must have been in a spell to do what she did. It's no way she could do all that by herself. That means she's in much more danger than I thought.' Inuyasha looked down at Kikyo's injured form. `Sesshoumaru will pay.'

Kikyo was almost lifeless but the half soul of Kagome just helped her out. `I will make sure my reincarnation dies for doing this to me.' She smirked inwardly and felt Inuyasha growl on top of her. `First I got to make sure he's on my side though.'

Inuyasha felt Kikyo move slightly and looked down at her. He couldn't escape the growl that came from him. His mate was injured because of another loved one. If he wanted both he will get both. `I will make Kagome mine no matter what.'

He then saw Kikyo opening her lifeless eyes, showing little emotion that she can. “Inuyasha…”

She was cut off with a deep passionate kiss. “Sshhh. Kikyo I will make sure that you get stronger. We will get Kagome back no matter what. That bastard brother of mine can't stop me.”

Kikyo closed her eyes and fell asleep and knew it's going to be a long while until they get their revenge on the one who did this to her.

Sango and Miroku……

“What happened to Kagome? She acted so…evil.” Sango said fighting back tears. No one has ever thought Kagome could act like that and right now they had no answers to why.

Miroku looked into the fire they made for camp. `Kagome must be trying to impress Sesshoumaru. It's the only explanation other than he brain washed her or is controlling her by a spell.' Miroku then looked over to Shippo. `Shippo cried himself to sleep tonight. I feel bad for him because Kagome is like a mother to him.' He then looked at the castle that was in front of him and then looked into the forest. `Inuyasha has really done something stupid this time. I just don't get it with Sesshoumaru though. He sat there and watched as Kagome attacked Inuyasha and Kikyo like remembering for a lifetime. Then he healed her wounds and left us standing there like idiots.'

`I just don't understand why this is happening.' Sango almost cried to out and said it out loud. She didn't want Miroku thinking her as a weak woman since in the battle she never cried.

They both looked at each other and nodded as an approval of calling it a day.
