It had been a few days since Kagome had moved in with Inuyasha. And Kagome had barely seen him since the first morning. He would always wake up early and leave before Kagome had even began to stir. She kept her end of the bargain and cleaned everyday. Some days not even putting care into it. The house was a disaster from the beginning. The night she agreed to move into him, the first step into her new home the first thing she noticed was the large amounts of dust. Like Inuyasha was storing up on it. The rooms we filled with musty furniture. Kagome wondered how Inuyasha could live like this.

So the next morning Kagome awoke early and got straight to work scrubbing the living room. She had been working a couple hours and had been trying to do it quietly, because believed Inuyasha was still fast asleep in the room down the hall. The sun was high in the sky when Kagome decided to wake her roommate up. Kagome rapped on the door.

"Inuyasha, are you still asleep?" Kagome knocked harder, "It's like noon for gods' sakes!"

Silence was the only answer she received. I wonder if he is alright. And with that thought she creaked the door open. The screech of door echoed in the hall way. Kagome poked her head into the room.

"Inuyasha?" she called out into the large bedroom. Kagome frowned wondering when he had left the house. Kagome couldn't force herself to leave the room. She shut the door and decided to snoop around. The room wasn't as bad as the rest the house. Her feet carried her over to a maple wood dresser. There was a golden frame that held an old photo graph of a family. There was an inu-youkai with a human woman. The woman was holding a young boy. Who is that…oh my gods…is that Inuyasha? Kagome was pretty sure it was him, because he had ears perched on top of his head. There was a slightly older boy standing on the other side of the father figure. He also looked familiar. He had a moon on his forehead just as the man did. Then it snapped together. Kaede introduced him to her before she left. Sesshoumaru or something close to that. He was with that pregnant lady. Kagome was studying the photo attentively and she didn't notice the footsteps rapidly coming down the dark hallway.

"What the FUCK are you doing in her, bitch?" A voice boomed from the doorframe. Kagome nearly dropped the frame. Kagome spun around to face an anger hanyou.

"Inuyasha!" she grimaced at the look she was receiving.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE, KAGOME?" Inuyasha yelled, "IM MY DAMN ROOM?"

Kagome didn't have a chance to respond before she felt his claw dig into her left wrist. Kagome tried to pull away causing his claw to dig deeper into her soft flesh. Blood seeped from the new opening. The blood's scent entered Inuyasha's nose. Startled, he released the wrist. Kagome didn't waste time and ran from the room leaving the scent to blood and tears. The `cute' ears drooped and laid flat onto of the silver hair. He felt terrible that his anger got the best of him and caused him to hurt Kagome.

"Damn it," he muttered to himself.

Hours later both Kagome and Inuyasha sat around a small round table eating some rabbit meat that Inuyasha managed to catch earlier. The silence was unbearable and was glad when the crickets decided to start to chirp outside the window. Inuyasha's eye kept lingering at the white bandage that was wrapped around Kagome's slender wrist. Blood was beginning to spot through the wrapping. Inuyasha was feeling guiltier. He felt worse when Kagome's eyes wouldn't even look at him. He couldn't take the pain that haunted his heart, so he set his fork down softly.

"Listen Kagome, I'm sorry that…that I hurt you," he paused, "It was wrong and I never intentionally hurt you."

Kagome nodded still not looking directly into his face.

A few days had passed since the incident and Kagome hadn't spoken a word to him. He cursed him every time he saw Kagome's beautiful face look so sullen. Inuyasha then decided to leave every morning early and only came in long enough to drop some food off for Kagome and went into his room when he sensed her sleeping. Inuyasha never felt this way about anyone. He had countless fights causing blood shed, but Kagome was so different. She had changed him without any knowledge.

Kagome's wound was almost fully healed. Kagome didn't worry about the scars. She was worried about Inuyasha. She hadn't seen him in days. He always left her food so she didn't go hungry. Her heart was surrendering to him. She knew that if she wouldn't had been in his room snooping she would have gone unscathed. He had apologized also.

Kagome saw on the porch that looked out on the dirt road. She felt peace being out in the quiet country. The castle always had people coming and going. She never saw many of those people twice. She loved it here. Kagome climbed to her feet and decided to take a walk in to the woods to clear her head. She kept to the marked trail so she wouldn't get lost and spend countless hours wondering her way home. Kagome didn't make very far into the woods when her name was called out. She turned her head and greeted the man.

"Oh hey there, Koga."

"I haven't seen you in awhile," Koga smiled, "Still living with Kaede?"

"Oh no, she didn't tell you?" Koga shook his head, "I'm housing with Inuyasha." Kagome didn't see the anger that flashed in Koga's eyes. They continued to walk in peace until…

"You are living with mutt-face! That inconsiderate oaf," Koga seethed, "He doesn't know how to treat a pretty lady like you."

Kagome didn't reply to the rants. He was ruining her good mood that had brightened when she reached the woods. Kagome had sped up trying to ignore him. He had noticed the bandages that covered her wrist. He turned her around when he caught up with her and grabbed her hand to get a closer inspection.

"Koga, will you let go of me," pulling her hand out of his tight grasp.

"Who inflicted these wounds onto your fragile body?" Koga asked softly.

"I was cutting fish for dinner and I slipped up a few times," He didn't seem to believe her, but he didn't need to get his nose in her business. The walk continued as Koga looked her skeptically. Kagome let a scream when Koga threw her over his shoulder like a rag doll. She whimpered as she tried to wiggle to get released. She gasped as he ran deeper into the trees. She ducked her head down to get out the way of the dangerously low twigs.

"Dog-shit is gonna pay for your pain."

"I told you, it was an accident!"

"I am not stupid, Kagome."

"Then you should believe me when I say I can't cook."

"I know it was him."

Kagome didn't get the last work in, because Koga suddenly skidded to a halt. He set her to her feet. Kagome and Koga were in a clearing.

"Why are we here?" Kagome questioned as she looked around her.

"Kagome?" she heard a familiar voice, not belonging to Koga. She looked up into the branches of a tree and saw Inuyasha, sitting against the trunk, looking at the two intruders.

"Mutt-face, get your ass down here," Koga yelled up.

Inuyasha jumped off his perch, his silver hair trailing behind him. Koga grabbed Kagome's wrist and raised it.

"What in the hell did you do to my Kagome?"

"Uhh…I" Inuyasha didn't get to continue his explanation, because Kagome interrupted him.

"I told you, Koga, I slipped up with the knife," Kagome stated pulling her hand away from his grip, "So stop pestering Inuyasha."

Both guys looked at the young maiden. Koga only wanted to help the girl that he thought he loved and Inuyasha was flabbergasted that she covered for him.

"But Kagome…" Koga stuttered.

"No, you should have listened to me, I don't lie," Kagome said lying," Now please leave." Koga left with his tail in between his legs. Inuyasha looked Kagome in the eyes and this time she didn't try to divert them. No one since his parents stuck up for him. Kagome just smiles sweetly at the confused boy.

"Why," he finally asked.

Kagome really didn't have an answer, "I am to blame also, Inuyasha."

He stepped closer to her body. He breathed in deeply taking in her sweet scent. He took her hand and led it to his mouth. He gently kissed her wrist.

"I'm sorry, Kagome, I really am."

"I already forgiven you," Kagome said blushing.

Kagome took one more step closing in the space that separated their bodies from each other. His amber eyes looked deeply into the souls of Kagome's green eyes. Inuyasha's heart sped up as did her heart. Inuyasha put his left hand around her back and with his right hand he delicately lifted her chin and placed his lips onto her warm, soft lips. Kagome wondered if she should move away, but her heart wouldn't give in and let temptation run though out her body. Inuyasha licked her lips asking for entry and she couldn't deny him. His tongue worked into her mouth. Kagome ran her tongue over his fangs gracefully. She moaned into the kiss causing Inuyasha to deepen it. Kagome wanted this moment to last for a life time, but they had to come up for air at some point. Kagome pulled away first, taking a deep breath. Inuyasha looked down at the girl and pulled her into an embrace. I have never felt safer, no matter how many guards were at the castle. The trees were cast in a reddish-orange from the setting sun. They stood like that for some time until *AWHOOOO AWHOOO* A horn sounding caused them to pull away from each other.

"What was that?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha frowned. He had forgotten that tonight was the night. How could I forget it, I've been training.

"Fight Club," He answered. He took Kagome's right hand and led her back into town.
