Chapter four, Nothing we can do.

"So, please do inform me just why, you are still with Kikyou?" Rin said, holding a mug half-full with green tea. Blowing the hot liquid she waited for InuYasha to answer, he had just told her he was still dating the priestess. InuYasha shrugged, "I've been with her for so long . . . I guess I haven't had time to break it off." Rin let out a short laugh, "or guts," she corrected. The half-demon at the kitchen table scowled at her, she just smiled at his reaction. "You know I am right," she pointed out, taking a sip from the white mug in her hand.

It was eight a.m., Monday morning. Rin had awoken early, she also was a morning person, only to find InuYasha sitting in the kitchen eating his normal breakfast - Captain Crunch. After a short "good morning," she had - like always - asked him how his life was. This is where she found out he was still dating that woman.

"Didn't she tell you she hated half-demons?" Rin asked softly, she knew what InuYasha thought of himself and his hanyou self. She noticed how his strong shoulders slump forward, as he dropped the spoon into his bowl. Within a second she was next to him, embracing him sideways. "I'm sorry, it wasn't my place to say something like that," she apologized, feeling him lean into her. "No, it's okay," she heard InuYasha whisper, "I . . . I . . . you're right, I have no guts." Rin shook her head, running a hand through his silver strands while rocking him back and forth. "You're a born leader, InuYasha, you just need to let go of a woman like that. She's no good for you. You should be with someone nice, someone who loves you inside out." InuYasha closed his eyes and drank her words like a dry sponge, Rin always seemed to know what to say and when to say them. "But how?" He whispered, enjoying her warm embrace. "That's up to you, but if you ask me; go home and break it off with her, return here and enjoy your newfound freedom." He knew, of course that Rin was right. Breaking things off on the phone wouldn't be very nice, and he could make sure Rin got back home all right.

Breaking the embrace, InuYasha twisted so he was now facing her. Placing a clawed hand on Rin's belly, he smiled, changing the subject with; "You think Yukio will be happy getting a little sister?" The female before him, made a face, placing her hand over his. "I am sure, he'll just have to get used to sharing the spotlight." InuYasha laughed, his nephew was a proud little demon clearly taking more after his father, then his mother. Yukio - was Sesshoumaru's, and Rin's 'mate-child'. The offspring of their union. He was a brave little guy, loving danger and things that rushed your blood. But he was also surprisingly calm, intelligent and gentle - one of few things he'd inherited from his mother. But Yukio was more his fathers' son, then anything else. Taking the silver-hair and golden-eyed gene from Sesshoumaru, as well the magenta stripes and poison claws - the little guy stood as his father's replica, a mirror image in a much smaller form.

"We're going to have his birthday party in the summer house, you should bring a date then," Rin said bringing InuYasha out of his thoughts. The half-demon nodded, "sure." Yukio was turning eight, a troublesome age but InuYasha doubted he'd turn more wild then he already was. Full demon blood surged that little creatures vein, something that had stunned Rin and InuYasha - but not Sesshoumaru. He had explained calmly that it was because his blood beast was so strong, it was destined to bring him demon children no matter what species he mated.

"You should bring that Kagome girl," Rin said, making InuYasha almost jump out of the chair. "Are you crazy?" He snapped, instantly regretting his harsh words. "I'm sorry, Rin. But me and Kagome is a big no-no," he explained, ears drooping. Rin's fine eyebrow rose as she studied his reaction. "You like her don't you?" Her eyes widened with the realization. "No . . . you really like her," she corrected herself. InuYasha's face turned red, "I . . . I don't like her," he sputtered, "she's annoying, irritating and . . . and . . . irritating." Rin giggled at her brother-in-law's rambling.

"Okay, okay. You're not her type then," Rin suggested placing a hand on his shoulder, successfully calming him down. InuYasha nodded, "Right . . . no wait! She's not my type, not vise-versa." Rin smiled, "oh really now?" The hanyou still sitting in front of her, smirked. "I'm every girl's type. What can I say? They love me." Now the female was laughing, holding her softly-rounded-belly. "Sure Inu, whatever you say," she choked out between her fits of laughter.

"Keh, very funny," he drawled, unable to stop the tug in the corner of his lips.

Kagome and Sango made their way to the office arranging the dorm-room setup. Calling ahead, Kagome had found out they opened at nine a.m., and closed at noon. Their friendship had been printed in cement, hours earlier, when they both found out they shared a passion for egg-sandwiches, and strawberry flavored tea. So needless to say, they shared such a breakfast before heading off to the University they both would attend two months' from the current date.

Walking the empty school grounds, the girls sighed dreamily. "I can't wait to start class, does that make me a nerd?" Sango asked, as they climbed the few stone steps in front of the main double-doors. Kagome giggled, "I hope not. Because I feel the same way." Sango was going to take art classes, like InuYasha. Something that Kagome didn't know, but Sango did. "InuYasha is a very talented artist," she explained, "Miroku said so himself." Kagome smiled, "you know, he will say anything to save his best friends butt." Sango laughed, "yeah, but I've seen some of his work. Miroku has a painting in his bedroom . . . "

"Sango?! What were you doing in that pervert's bedroom?" Kagome interrupted, eyes wide with shock. She knew that Sango liked the lecherous boy, but going into a boy's bedroom . . .

"It's not like that Kagome," Sango assured, face tinting red. "He just showed me around, and I told him I was going to do art, so he showed me something InuYasha drew. That's all, I swear!" The taller girl raised a hand, "scouts honor." Kagome relaxed and laughed.

Swinging the office door open, the girls walked inside the cramped space. This was where they would go for their schedules, bright and early Monday, August 10'th. There wasn't much to look at, a couple of blind covered office doors behind a huge beige desk. At first glance it appeared to be empty, as there was no one in sight. "Hello?" Kagome called softly, glancing toward Sango who shrugged. "Oh, one second," a female voice spoke, making the girls blink. Leaning over the large desk, Sango and Kagome, saw a small woman kneeling on the other side slightly hidden underneath the heavy wooden object. She appeared busy, looting through a low file cabinet.

Rising to her feet, the petite woman took a seat in a typical office chair, that was parked behind her. Rolling it to the desk, she looked up at the girls on the other side. "What can I help you two with?" She asked, taking a pen in her hand as if ready to sign some papers. Kagome opened her small black purse, taking out a few neatly folded papers. Handing them over, she smiled. "There was a mixup in the dorm-room setup. As you can see, I am a female and the person living in my given apartment, is a male." The woman - who had taken the papers, read carefully before turning to the computer next to her. Small slender fingers worked on the keyboard, typing in the necessary information.

Hitting the enter-key, the woman frowned. "I'm sorry, Miss Higurashi, but it appears to be right." Kagome gapped, "what do you mean?" The middle-aged woman sighed, clicking through the text on the screen before her. "It says here in your information that you're a male, so therefor you were teamed up with another boy," she shrugged. Kagome went rigid, "I'm . . . what?!" Sango who hadn't said a word, butted in "but there has to be a mistake, as you can see. I don't know who made it, but there has to be a way to correct it, right?" The woman behind the desk rubbed her chin, as if thinking. "I can see your copy here, Miss Higurashi. You did indeed place a cross in the female window, but whoever fed this information into the data base put male."

"So, is there a way to fix it?" Kagome asked hopefully, she really didn't want to live with InuYasha. "That's the bad part," the woman said, now holding her papers. "I can change it, but that wouldn't help your living situation. The rooms have been set already, there is nothing I can do to fix it." Sango braced a very pale Kagome, holding her to the desk. "At the best, I can give you a new place in a year," the woman explained, handing Kagome her papers back. "But, I thought it was against school policy to live with the opposite sex," Sango said hesitantly, "or am I wrong?" The female behind the desk rubbed the bridge of her nose, "well you see. There is little if nothing we can do as long as both parties are over eighteen. They are adults, and the law only stamps those who are younger."

Sango helped her friend out of the office, five minutes later. The Lady inside had promised to do her best to help Kagome change apartments, but obviously it didn't seem promising at all.

Taking a seat on a green steel bench outside the building, Kagome sighed. "I can't live like this, he's . . . we're . . . we don't get along." Sango placed an arm over her friend's shoulders, "maybe you two just need time, you know, to get used to each other?" She suggested, a hint of hope laced her voice.

"Maybe . . . " Kagome trailed off, knowing InuYasha would throw a fit when she got back to the apartment. She wasn't sure she'd survive living four years within the same space as InuYasha. But, Kagome was willing to admit that if this was really the case - if she was truly staying there - the two of them needed to become friends. It just wouldn't work otherwise.

"You know what always cheers me up, when I'm down?" Sango asked, squeezing Kagome's shoulder lightly. The smaller girl looks up, defeat written clear across her face. "What?" Sango giggles, "Ice cream!" Kagome felt an involuntary smile grow across her face, "yeah - chocolate and brownie . . . "

"What the heck are we sitting around for?" Sango stood abruptly, taking Kagome with her. Just the image of the icy treat made her mouth water. Kagome allowed Sango to drag her across campus, while she was making her mind up. She'd go and eat the sinful desert and then go home and talk to InuYasha. Maybe he'd be calm with Rin still there. She could only hope.

Kagome twists the key in the lock, pushing the front door open with a single push. Silence greeted her as she kicked off her shoes in the hallway. Judging from the shoes in the small room both Rin and InuYasha should be somewhere inside the apartment. Running a shaky hand through her hair, Kagome took deep breath. 'Here goes,' she declared inwardly - taking a step toward the livingroom. With a hand clutching her backpack in a white-knuckling grip Kagome soon entered the larger room. There on the couch sat both InuYasha and Rin watching tv. The young brunet looked up, smiling from ear to ear. "Hey Kagome!" Rin moved out of her seat and came toward her.

Kagome could feel InuYasha's burning gaze on her, as his brother's wife took her in a warm embrace. Returning the hug, Kagome sighed. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all, Rin would be on her side. "So, are you moving?" The half-demon in the couch asked; tossing his legs up on the coffee table as he stretched. Kagome shook her head. "No, they said there is nothing they can do . . . " InuYasha blinked, "What the hell? Nothing? So you're telling me you're living here?!" Rin took a step back, observing the scene that unfolded before her. Kagome twisted in her spot, seemingly uncomfortable with this whole situation. InuYasha - in turn - looked literally pissed off.

"There is no . . . "

"Bullshit!" InuYasha snapped, interrupting Kagome as she tried to explain. "You and me, we don't mix. You know that too, so how the in seven Hells are we suppose to be able to share everything for four years?!" Kagome shrugged, starting to get mad as well. "Do you think I want this? We have no choice!" InuYasha snorted, "there is always a second option, you taking an apartment outside the school grounds." Kagome went livid, "just how the . . . are I suppose to afford that, Mr. Rich pants?! Not everyone has money growing on trees."

"I don't care how, get a job - or are you too lazy to work, princess?" Kagome just gapped, fumes coming out of her ears. 'How dare he . . . ?' something snapped in her then; she hung onto sheer willpower not to cross the room and slap him.

Rin saw the death glare the two were now shooting at each other. "Okay," she spoke up, "timeout!" Gripping a shaking Kagome by the shoulders, Rin led the girl to the couch - sitting her down in a safe distance from her brother-in-law. Taking Kagome's backpack, she placed it next to the tv - which she turned off. The two young adults snapped out of their glaring contest when Rin clapped her hands together. "Now that I have your attention, "she said, standing with her hands on her hips, "we're going to talk like normal people. No yelling, no cussing and no threats." InuYasha snorted with a "Keh," and Kagome nodded.

"Good," Rin smiled. "I'll speak first then you, both, will have a chance to talk." InuYasha groaned, but didn't make a move to leave. Kagome tucked her legs under her butt to get more comfortable, this might prove to be interesting. "Okay, let's find a solution to this obvious problem," Rin started. "I gather that you two don't particularly like each other that much."

"That's an understatement," InuYasha muttered under his breath. Kagome narrowed her eyes dangerously.

"Ap. Ap. InuYasha! ," Rin chided - holding her hand up.

"There will be no talking, until it's your turn to do so." InuYasha growled low in his throat, not liking that rule at all. However, the hanyou sat quietly as Rin continued her analyses of the problem. "As I can see it, Kagome has no choice but to stay here. Her finances won't cover an apartment in town, and the school can't give her another - right?" Kagome nodded, letting Rin know she was correct so far.

"InuYasha, in turn, is way too stubborn to find a new place to stay. He has the money, we all know - Gods help us - but clearly sees this place as his. Since he was here first, right?" Rin turned to InuYasha who was sticking his tongue out at her. "Good enough answer for me, I take that as a yes," she said while rubbing her small belly absently. "Now, this is a good time to speak - vent, tell your new roommate how you feel. Or, better yet; say how we should solve this." Rin motioned for Kagome to start, with a small 'Ladies first.'

Kagome sat dumbfounded, she really didn't know what to say. 'You could tell him you want to be friends,' her conscience reminded - going back to her earlier thoughts. "We could try and . . . um . . . become friends," she suggested aloud. Glancing over to the handsome boy on the other side of the couch. "Very good Kagome," Rin praised, clasping her hands together. "What do you have to say to that InuYasha?"

"Keh," the young adult retorted, but after a moment he shrugged "I guess . . . we could . . . give something like that . . . a try." Rin's smile grew brighter. "How wonderful! My job here is done. We have our solution. If you both put effort into this new friendship, I am sure you can make it four years under the same roof."

Secretly Rin hoped that this union would lead to something deeper, Kagome and InuYasha were made for each other - they just didn't see it yet.

"So, now that we have that problem solved let's go eat dinner. I have to eat for two, and right now my second half is pretty hungry," Rin grimaced - pointing at her belly. Kagome snickered softly, raising to get out of the couch. InuYasha did too, only to be interrupted by his cellular phone that vibrated inside his baggy beige-colored Dockers pocket. Digging it out he glanced at the caller Id - Kikyou. "Damn it," he cursed. Excusing himself from the women, taking the call inside his bedroom. Rin noticed the odd behavior, knowing exactly who was on the other line. "His girlfriend," she explained to Kagome - who was looking at her roommates hasty retreat. "Oh," the smaller woman acknowledged, shaking her head lightly. "Hopefully soon to be ex-girlfriend," Rin mumbled as she made her way into the kitchen.

Kagome didn't know if the brunet had said that loud enough for her to hear it, or if it was a mistake; speaking her thought out loud. Whichever, Kagome felt an odd tingle in her lower area at the small thought of InuYasha being single. But why should she care? She didn't like him . . . that much . . . or in that way. Right? 'Hm, whatever,' She shrugged but couldn't rid herself of the warm alien feeling deep inside her very bones as she for the last time glanced at her roommate's door, before going to help Rin with the dinner preparations.

"Can I ask you something?" Kagome said as she chopped the shrimp up into tiny pieces. Rin, who stood beside her nodded. InuYasha had yet to come out of room, so the women had started the food making, knowing that the half-demon would eat anything they made anyway. "It might be too personal, and if it is - I am sorry, but when you came here you had a sad expression in your eyes . . . how come?" Rin took a deep breath as she placed a hand on her stomach, rubbing it absently. "It might sound a bit silly, but you see . . . " she trailed off, pausing a second before continuing, "the baby kicked for the first time, and my ma-, uh husband wasn't present to share that moment with me. He's been working abroad for a month, and I miss him so much. I guess I just felt so lonely . . ."

Kagome nodded, "I'm sorry Rin it wasn't my place to ask." The female beside her let out sound that reminded her of InuYasha, "feh, we're friends - and friends tell each other everything."

"Friends," Kagome echoed, "I like the sound of that."

"You better, because I expect to see and hear from you often from now on."

The females exchanged a smile before InuYasha came into the kitchen. He had a strange glint in his eyes, Rin could tell he was anxious to break things off with his girlfriend. The trio continued preparing the dinner in silence.

The following morning Rin decided she needed to return home to her son and house. Sesshoumaru would be getting home the following week and she needed to clean the place up before her husband walked through those doors. InuYasha insisted to drive her back, saying something about pregnant women shouldn't have to take the bus. But Rin knew he needed to speak with Kikyou. 'The faster, the better' she thought.

Standing in the hallway, Kagome and Rin said their goodbyes. It was short but warm, exchanges of hugs and phone numbers. "You'll call next week, okay?" Rin said as she put her shoes on. Kagome nodded, "Yeah of course! I hope I get a chance to see little Yukio this summer. He sounds like a great kid." Rin glanced at InuYasha who was penetrating poor Kagome with his golden lantern-like gaze. "He'll turn eight soon," she paused not sure that her brother-in-law would say something to ruin the invitation, deciding he wouldn't she continued, "you should come."

Kagome clapped her hands together, "that would be great!"

Rin smiled at her friends excitement, "InuYasha is driving up to see us then. So you both can come together." The hanyou didn't say a word as he leaned heavily against the wall in the hallway. He wasn't happy about this whole arrangement, but he had given his word to try and be friends. And as far as he knew, friends did these sort of thing together - so that was why he now stood in silence.

"Well we should get going." Kagome nodded, giving Rin a final hug. "I see you when you get back," she said turning to her roommate smiling. InuYasha returned the smile and nodded, something tingled inside his stomach when she looked at him like that; maybe living with Kagome wouldn't be half bad after all

Closing the door behind them, Kagome let out a deep sigh. Now, finally, she would have time to arrange her room. Just that thought made her want to laugh. The room she had thought never could be hers, was now where she'd stay for a year or more. Sprinting into her sleeping chambers, Kagome got down to business unpacking all her boxes and clothes. She knew it would take her most of the night, and then some, to set everything up.

The thought of calling Sango over to help her crossed her mind. But Kagome knew that girl was probably with Miroku, and with right; the two were in love. 'Love,' she mused; wondering if she also would find someone. Maybe that somebody was InuYasha? As sudden as that thought was born she killed it. He didn't like her like that, heck he didn't even like her as a friend yet. She wasn't sure about her own feelings, she'd only known the guy for a few days way too soon to know anything.

What Kagome did know, however, was that he loved to tick her off. But she couldn't complain, somehow it felt wrong if they didn't fight. However odd that might sound, it was the truth. She snickered as she opened a small box and saw her camera. She always loved taking pictures, since she was a child; it had been her number one hobby. 'Hm,' she thought. 'Pictures . . . InuYasha paints . . . I wonder.' The thought of going into her roommates' room and see how he had things set up snuck up in her brain.

It went against everything she believed, but she couldn't help but letting curiosity get the best of her. Walking out of her room Kagome paused. There was, of course, no way he would know she had been in there and it would only be a quick look. It wasn't like she was going to snoop around in his closet or anything. With that Kagome convinced herself it would be harmless to just take a look.

Bending the black handle she gave his door a small push. It was dark inside, so dark in fact Kagome found herself looking for the light switch. Her hand graced the right wall fumbling around before finding the plastic device, flicking it on she gasped.

The walls were covered in art paintings, sketches and whatnots. His bed was king-sized, which didn't exactly surprise her. The covers and curtains matching deep-red and black, there were even a rug that was the same color. It all flowed in perfect harmony, the art and decorations. Kagome inhaled deep as she stood there in the doorway, his room was overflowing with his scent. She was getting dizzy as she couldn't get enough of the intoxicating scent how someone could smell that good was beyond her.

Taking a step inside the room, she took her time looking at his paintings. She gapped when she realized much of it was angst, death and gore. Was he depressed? Or was this his way to vent his dark side? Her thoughts flowed as she ran her fingers where his paintbrush had touched.

There were clearly more things about InuYasha then she could comprehend, things she was sure no one knew but himself. Sighing deep, Kagome walked from painting to painting; admiring his work. He was really good, using everything from normal pencils to wet paint. One painting, however, caught her eye; it was that of a dead angel being ravished and torn apart by a demon. It was really detailed and she could tell he had given this piece extra attention and time. But why? Was that how he saw himself? Kagome shook her head, she was going deeper then she had a right to. This was clear violation to privacy, what would she think if she knew he had been in her room? Deciding she had seen enough Kagome turned to leave only to stop dead in her tracks. Something next to the walk-in closet caught her eye, it was an unfinished painting. Curiosity got the best of her and she approached the art piece with caution.

This was his most recent work, she couldn't help but wonder what it could be he was working on. Color tubes and paintbrushes laid scattered around a low table, some looked recently used still wet on the tip. Walking around the stand holding the painting up, Kagome's eyes widened. It was her! He was drawing her! In the picture she was sensually tilting her head to the side revealing her slender throat and neck. Her black curls fell like a black waterfall over her shoulders, disappearing down her back. He had yet to draw her torso, but the outlining showed he was planning on keeping her naked. At that Kagome blushed. She couldn't get mad at the guy, she wasn't suppose to be in here. So instead of stiring anger, the painting made her realize he might actually want to see her like this.

Kagome shook her head. She was getting more confused by the second. This time, as she backed away from the painting she didn't stop until she flicked off his light and closed the door behind her. She couldn't help but wonder where this friendship of theirs would lead. InuYasha was clearly having erotic thoughts of her, and she would be lying if she said she didn't.

Blushing Kagome was happy she was alone, this might prove to be a long night for her. She had allowed herself to get infected, and the only cure available was InuYasha himself.

Sango and Miroku sat inside her apartment watching a movie. It was late, but Sango knew that her roommate was suppose to show up sometime during that evening. So she had asked Miroku to come over and keep her company until the girl arrived. They weren't more then thirty minutes into the move when they heard someone stick a key into the front door. "She's here!" Sango exclaimed excitedly, jumping out of the couch and Miroku's arms.

The boy she was dating made a move to stand as well. He was curious who his girlfriends' roommate was, hoping it was someone who loved to party. Sango's place was ideal for Friday night fun, it was surely huge enough. A girl wearing a baseball cap came into the livingroom where the couple stood, ready to welcome her. "Hi," Sango chimed making the girl drop her bag in surprise. "Oh, hi! I didn't know someone was already here," the girl said moving toward them. Stretching out her arm she shook hands with Sango, asking if she was her roommate.

Sango nodded, "yeah that's me. And this is my boyfriend, Miroku." The girl seemed to tense at the mention of his name. She turned to face the black-haired boy and slapped her hand over her mouth. Miroku was observing her odd behavior, she was acting like she knew him or something. "Miroku?" The girl squeaked, "Miroku Tanaka?"

"Uh, that's me. Excuse me but do we know each other?" The boy was curious now, she evidently knew who he was. The girl in front of them took of her baseball cap, red curls fell over her shoulders down her back. Miroku's eyes widened, "Ayame?"

"It's me!" The girl opened her arms, which Miroku flew into. "Wow, it really is you." Sango watched as her roommate and boyfriend hugged like old friends who haven't seen each other in years. She cleared her throat not wanting or liking to be kept in the dark. Miroku backed out of Ayame's arms laughing. "Sango, this is Ayame; we grew up together."

"Nice to meet you Ayame, I have a feeling we're going to be great friends." Ayame nodded with a smile. "I am sure we will Sango." Turning to Miroku, the red-haired girl blushed when she asked where InuYasha was. "Oh, that's right!" Miroku exclaimed. "You used to have the hugest crush on InuYasha, but always too scared to tell him how you felt." Sango giggled as she could easily picture a small Ayame blushing to the roots of her hair every time the white-haired boy came around. "Yeah well he was cute!" Ayame retorted laughing. Her cheeks were still tinting red, maybe this crush was still going strong?

Sango hoped that her roommate wouldn't run after InuYasha now, years later. He was reserved for Kagome, those two were perfect for each other. "InuYasha lives here on campus too," Miroku informed his childhood friend. "He lives with a girl though."

"A girl?!" Ayame's eyes widened with surprise. "Don't tell me Kikyou is going here too!" The black-haired boy shook his head. "Nah., she's back home working in the shrine. He's going home to break things up with her though, or so he told me yesterday on the phone."

"Then who's this girl he is living with?"

"Oh, her name is Kagome. It was a mixup and they are stuck together," Miroku explained.

"Is she nice?" Ayame asked very interested in this woman living with her first crush. Sango nodded, "yeah she's great. I hope you get to meet her soon, maybe I can invite her over tomorrow?"

"Yeah sure, that'll be great!"

"I'll come too," Miroku said. "I can't wait to catch up with you, I haven't seen you in four years." Ayame laughed, nodding her head. "Let's all have dinner here, it'll be great."

"InuYasha might even be back by then, he took Rin back home after her visit here. I am sure he wants a chance to talk to Kikyou too before returning."

The three continued getting acquainted and reacquainted with each other as the night went by. But the more they talked the more Sango realized that Ayame still had a crush on InuYasha. She could do little if nothing to stop the two from getting together, if the white-haired boy felt the same way. But Sango clearly remembers the night at the party, when she and Miroku had seen their friends dance in a very intimate way. That must mean something, right? Kagome might deny it all she wanted but Sango knew there was something there, something her friend wasn't telling her. And she had every intention of finding out just what that was, so she could help by giving a push in the right direction. She smiled inwardly when she remembered that she used to be quiet the matchmaker back in high-school. If she could do it then, she could do it now. It was a challenge, to say the least. Sango knew and remembered all to well how those two could fight. She just needed to redirect that fire into passion, and they would be inseparable.

Just how she would do that, was still undecided. But she'd be damned if she didn't at least try. Her thoughts were cut short when Miroku grasped her arm, yanking her back to reality. "Let's watch that movie, okay?" He suggested, pulling her along to the couch. Ayame had excused herself going to unpack for the night, she was exhausted after the long trip.

Saying goodnight to Ayame who had stopped in the hallway picking her bags up from the floor, the couple continued watching the movie from where they had left off. But inside Sango's head a plan was slowly but surly forming. She was going to get Kagome and InuYasha together before the summer was over.
