I been asked to do a position for Build-A-Bear workshop. I haven’t been hired yet, but I’m waiting on it, I have to email the supervisor back. If I do get the job, I won’t have as much time to update or maybe I will, depending upon the hours. But I am going for it, wish me luck.

chapter 9

It has been almost two weeks since Inuyasha and Shippo ran away from the village. Inuyasha knew he would have to face him again. He is mostly afraid that Sesshoumaru will find him and kill him and his baby. He growled at himself for even thinking that, but Sesshoumaru isn’t the lovey dovey type. Sure he has that human girl that accompanies him on his travels, but he point is he would want an heir from a mate he loves, not from a half-breed he raped. “Him? Loving? As if”

The two continued their travels to wherever. They mostly caught villages that gave them a room overnight and they would leave next morning. The people would let him stay because they took pity on him being six months pregnant and single father to a fox kit. They believed that it was wrong for him to travel at night since he was defenseless at the moment regardless of him being a hanyou. Most people also believed that it was kind of dumb to despise all hanyous anyway. But mostly they thought he was the most adorable hanyou they ever seen. He reminds himself to thank his baby when it gets older.

They just got out of a new village that gave them room and board for the night before. They thank them and go on their way to another place.

“Hey, Inuyasha, why all of a sudden we get room and board so easily from humans?”

“Well, they pity me for fathering a baby fox and having another one by myself and besides the women think were adorable”

“Who says you are”

“Hey!”

“I’m just kidding”

“I’ll show you who’s kidding, runt” he grabs Shippo and pulls his cheeks

“Owwwww, that hurts, c’mon stop it”

“You’ll get more pain sq.....” he stopped and sniffed the air. Shippo rubs his cheeks

“You big meanie, that hurts”

“Hush” the kit silenced himself immediately. He looked at his guardian with concern. Inuyasha gave the air one last whiff and it smelt like a human but not any of his friends. He grabs the kit and hides in a tree. They look down to see Rin on the ground humming to herself and picking flowers. Inuyasha’s eyes widened, “its that human he travels with” He knew that if she’s here, his brother is around somewhere. He instantly jumped from tree to tree to escape quickly before he gets caught too soon. Sesshoumaru followed Rin into the woods and smelt something familiar.....like......hanyou.

He instantly knew who it was. “Rin, Jaken, stay here” he commanded. He then ran after the half-breed . Inuyasha ran until they came to a cliff. He was panting heavily and was scared for their lives.

“What are we gonna do?” the fox kit asked frantically

“Looks like I will have to climb downwards”

“Like hell you will climb down there” The hanyou’s eyes widen at that voice and he turned around and saw the youkai lord standing a few feet from him.

“You have already caused me enough pain as it is, what more do you want”

 His eyes narrowed “First, I want you to step away from the cliff”. Inuyasha hesitated for a moment, but took a small step from the cliff. Then out of nowhere he was grabbed by the arms.

“Secondly, I want my baby”

“You asshole, you’re not taking away my baby!”

“Don’t worry, you’re coming with me”

“What?”

“I’m not letting my child grow without its mother”

“But it will grow without its father!”

“Not if I can help it”. He then took hold of the hanyou firmly but tightly

“What the hell are doing?!” he shouts

“You are coming home with me”

“No I’m not! Let me go!” Inuyasha then started struggling against his hold . Sesshoumaru started pulling and dragging him into the forest. After about 20 minutes of yelling, struggling and screaming of obscenities, Sesshoumaru decided that he had enough. He chose to knock out his new mate by pressure point. He picked him up bridal style and carried him back to where the others were left. The others were shocked to find that Inuyasha looked a little abnormal.

“Master, why is his stomach so...so huge?” the toad asked

“Feel it and figure it out” he said coldly. The toad did what was told and he sensed a life within the hanyou’s belly. He pulled back quickly and stared

“He-he can’t be, there’s just no way”

“Apparently so”

“What’s wrong with your brother Lord Sesshoumaru?” asks Rin

“There is nothing wrong with him”

“Then why is his tummy so big?”

“The hanyou is pregnant” says Jaken

“What does that mean?” while looking confused

“He’s having a baby” the youkai lord says

“Really, can I be its big sister?” she asks with excitment

“B-b-but I asked to be its brother” a little voice said. Shippo then crawled out of the holder with a scared face

“What are you doing here?” Jaken said

“So, the witch was right, he did adopt you” Sesshoumaru says cooly

“What do you mean my lord” asks the toad

“When I went to speak to that witch in that last village we passed through, she told me that not only Inuyasha was with child, he adopted that fox kit as a favor to one of his precious humans”

“P-please Lord Sesshoumaru, I beg of you, leave my father in peace. I don’t want him to suffer any more”. The kit then began to cry. Rin came over and held him saying

“Don’t worry, Lord Sesshoumaru won’t hurt him”

“How can I trust him?” he said sobbing

“Foolish child, do you believe I would hurt my own offspring”. Once again everyone looked at him in shock, shippo most of all

“You...you did this to him, why?” he went up to the youkai lord and stared him in the face “how could you, killing him would have been better, but to do that to him. Do you have any idea how much damage that caused . He has been scared ever since that night. The night he came back with that disgusting smell on him. The smell of his blood and whatever else he was coated with. Its still fresh to my nose, to my senses. I can still remember him screaming and crying in his sleep. Why did you do this, why, why, WHY!!!” The child fell on his knees crying. At that moment, Sesshoumaru understood how much his brother meant to this young child. Inuyasha was his only guardian, and if he died, the kit would most likely die of starvation or other means.

He then put the child to sleep, using the same tactic on him as he did on his mate. He picked him up and gave him to Rin

“Hold on to him until we get home” he commanded. He mounted Rin and himself on Ah-Un’s back while he held Inuyasha in place. Jaken climbed on by himself. As soon as everyone was situated, the flying demon took off to the home of Lord Sesshoumaru.

“You will not raise these children on your own, I shall see to that ...........my love”
