Back again with another chapter. Apparently I am tempted to do a story for Gravitation and Fake. Mostly if I read a certain anime fanfiction for a while, I get tempted to write something about it. Why? Don’t know, it’s just.....inspirational.

chapter 8

Everyone’s eyes popped out their sockets. It took them a moment to transmit what the youkai just said.

The .......(Kaede)

baby ......(Miroku)

is .......(Sango)

YOURS!!!! Kagome screams “How in hell is that baby yours, you are just saying that so you could find him and kill them both!!”

Sesshoumaru just wanted to laugh at their expressions. For some reason the looks seem so priceless. “I guess they didn’t see that one coming”

“As I told you, I will not kill my child nor my mate, you can believe what you want , it will not matter”

“Even if you are the baby’s father, you will still not touch him, he does not need anymore pain from you. He’s had enough!!!”

His eyes narrowed, he got tired of this game and their antics to sidetrack him. He rushed towards Kagome and grabbed her by the neck. The other immediately prepared their weapons and were about to use them until....

“Any of you do anything and I will snap her neck in half” The others were a little hesitant of his warning but they knew he was not the kind to lie. The youkai lord squeezed her neck tighter and they heard her choke and a bone slightly cracking. They lowered their weapons and hoped they would make it out alive.

“Now, I will ask you again, and if you lie you will all die within a heartbeat. Where is he?” Kagome wanted so much to lie for her friend’s safety. Although Sesshoumaru maybe the baby’s father, Inuyasha will not be happy with him because all those painful memories of him being raped will resurface and may drive him insane.

“I’m waiting, bitch” he says with some anger. His patience is wearing thin and fast.

“H-h-he’s gone”

“I can see that woman, where...is...he?”

“I told him to run, I didn’t give him any particular place, I just told him to run”

“YOU WHAT!!! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU TELL HIM TO RUN. HE’S OUT DOING WHAT GOD KNOWS WHAT, AT GOD KNOW’S WHERE!! HE CAN’T EVEN DEFEND HIMSELF AND YOU CALL YOURSELVES HIS FRIENDS”

“It was for his safety”

“Spare me the theatrics, human, I don’t have time for this” he dropped her on the ground, with her panting heavily for air. He began to walk away. “By the way, did you let him adopt the fix kit?” They all look at him again

“Leave shippo alone!” Kagome shouts

“Humph, we’ll see about that” He left it at that and started walking away. The others ran to Kagome to see if she was ok. They saw they she began to cry because she spilled that Inuyasha is by himself with a baby fox. She felt that she had failed in protecting them from those that could do them harm. She mostly felt bad that the baby might not be born because of her. “I pray to all the gods that are listening, keep them safe, .......please”

Sesshoumaru smelled the air and caught the hanyou’s scent, it was faint but still there. “Either they told him to leave early or he is a fast runner for someone being 6 months pregnant. Either way, Inuyasha will come back with me.........one way or ......another”

Inuyasha continued running through the forest as fast as his legs could carry him. He decided to settle down having to carry two babies and himself. He leaned against a tree hugging the sack and shippo to his chest and fell asleep with the hood on.

The next day came as shippo woke up to a bright sun in his eyes. He yawned and saw that they were no longer at camp, but deep in the forest. He looked around and saw nobody but Inuyasha. His tummy started to growl and since he couldn’t cook, Inuyasha was his only help. He got up to rub and hit gently at the hanyou’s face.

“Inuyasha,.... Inuyasha, wake up” he continually hits his face lightly

“Hmmmm, what is it?”

“Its morning, and I’m hungry”

“Alright ‘yawns’ I’m coming” he gets on his feet and grabs the sack with food “what do you want to eat, there’s not a lot here so we have to do this wisely. And for our survival, I will try not to eat extras, just my fill or what is left”

“I’ll have.....some of these” He pulled out two carrots and a celery. Inuyasha ate a half of some fish and a bowl full of rice from the day before. They then put some of the extras back in the sack and got on their feet to continue their journey (somewhere).

“Hey shippo, do you want to walk or stay in the holder”

“Ehhhh, I’ll stay in the holder” he jumped into the holder (A/n: the holder is not like ours, its just a huge blanket or sash that is tied from one of the shoulders to the opposite side, almost like the Romans) Inuyasha started walking through the forest and after a few hours they ended up at a market down the hill. Inuyasha sniffed the air and it was a mixture of humans, demons, half-breeds and all others. He decided to take a chance and venture this market and since he has some money, he could buy more food and maybe a few baby accessories.

He took off the hood since he had it on almost all day and decided to walk around. He first went to a bread and pastry booth. He stood there scanning all the treats and breads. Shippo’s head popped out of the holder to also look. The human woman there selling them noticed him and the fox kit.

“Awww, is that your baby?” she asked

“Yes, he is my foster son”

“What happened to his parents?”

“They were killed by two demon brothers, I took him in and we’ve been together ever since”

“That’s wonderful, at least some people care about orphaned children” she then noticed his swollen stomach and knows he is not fat anywhere else. “By the way sir, are you pregnant?”

He looked at her instantly like she was nuts.

“Y-y-yes, I am”

“No need to be nervous darling, there are many pregnant people here, male and female alike” he looked around and saw she wasn’t kidding. Some were at earlier stages and others look like they could they could give birth in a short time.

“So child, how far along are you?”

“Six months”

“You are about the 20th person that is six months” he smiled at that statement for some reason

“So where is their father?” he tensed at that one.

“He’s back at home working”

“What does he do?”

“He’s a doctor”

“Well, that’s good, at least he’s not a bum like some of these men these days. I think you are very lucky”

“Lucky me”

“Well dear, if you are looking for any baby goods there is a booth right over there” she pointed to a booth at his right

“Thank you ma’am”

“Your welcome, and take care of those children”

“I will” he said as he left. “These people seem nice, and I’m not being hated for once” After a good few hours of shopping they bought more food and Inuyasha bought a lollipop for shippo and himself and a cloth and hat for his baby. They even had some money left over. They went to the woods and continued walking. The day turned into nightfall; shippo fell asleep and Inuyasha kept walking. He has a feeling he is in danger but he can’t put his finger on it but he kept walking. He sighs “I wonder how long can I run from him”
