Hello peoples, I’m updating this story again since I went totally brain dead on Experiment. It’ll come to me eventually though. I just hope some of you have more patience with it. If you guys are a fan of my other story and have some ideas, you can put them in your reviews and I’ll use them to the fullest extent, if not, I’ll make up something. Thanks a bunch!!!

Chapter 17

Inuyasha woke up the next morning with a feeling of loneliness in his heart and a full bladder. He went to the bathroom to relieve himself of his bladder problem. Now to conquer his emotional problem. He has been wanting the comfort and touch of his mate for a while, but he can’t bring himself to go near his brother because of his fear of him. Not only his human side is scared but so is his youkai. All in all, his whole being wants nothing to do with him, but with each passing day, he finds peace in a weird way and yet he still wants to get away.

He left the room in the new kimono he slept in and went in search of his friends. The first room he went into was Kagome’s, he saw she wasn’t in her bed. He took it upon himself to sit on her bed and wait for her. He heard a door open from the hot springs and out came Kagome in a light blue yukata with flowers.

“Oh, Inuyasha, I didn’t see you there”

“Kags, could I talk to you about something?”

“Sure, anything” she sat on the bed next to him and in an instant, he laid his head on her lap and his body on the bed. Kagome was a bit shocked, but since he needed some comfort, she chose not to bother about it. She started combing his hair with her fingers and rubbing and scratching his ears. Inuyasha never felt this comfortable in years. Who knew she could be this affectionate, when he wasn’t being an ass of course.

“I’m afraid Kagome”

“Of what?”

“What my future will be like, for me and my child. You and the others won’t be around forever, all I will have is Shippo. I won’t have a mate who will help take care of me and my children. Who will be there for me when the kids grow up and got out on their own, who will say “I love you” when I want to hear it and mean it with all their heart. Who will hold me when I get sad or make love to me.

“How I wish I could fill that void for you Inu, but the only person that can do that is Sesshomaru”

“I don’t believe he can, he maybe my mate partially, but I highly doubt he can do this for me”

“What do you mean partially?”

“I didn’t bite him back, the bond is half completed. He only bit and had sex with me.

“Do you think about giving him a chance”

“At times I do, but for what he has done to me, I can’t bring myself to do it. He has a cold and emotionless demeanor, and don’t think I can take being more unstable than I am”

“I don’t want you too either, but he is the father of this child. It’ll grow up hating him if you let it grow up without him. And I don’t think you want it to hate anyone” she said as she started caressing his plump stomach

“No, I don’t”

“What you should do is test him out. See if he is willing to make up from his mistake by being a good father and mate to his family. If he doesn’t then you will either live with me, or we will find you a place to stay” he looked her in the face with concern.

“Are you sure I should do this?”

“Yes, some people are willing to make up for their mistakes, let’s just hope he’s one of them”

he smiled “ thanks Kagome” she returned the smile and kissed him on the cheek. She looked at him for a moment and kissed him on the lips this time, and with more passion. The kiss went deeper and their tongues came to play. Inuyasha hugged her neck closer as they moaned into the kiss. Then Inuyasha went wide eyed, he immediately stopped the kiss and got up from the girl’s lap.

“Inu what’s the matter?” she looked over from his shoulder and saw a red-eyed Sesshomaru. Before she blink her neck was once again in the youkai lord’s grasp.

“I should break your neck for touching him wench”

“Sesshomaru NO! It was my fault, I kissed her, deal with me, just please don’t hurt her” Sesshomaru listened to the plea in his mate’s voice and dropped Kagome to the ground. He grabbed a hold of the hanyou by the hand and pulled him out of the room. Inuyasha gave the miko one last look and he saw she mouthed the word ‘why’

Sesshomaru took the hanyou to the nearest room and shut the door. He said calmly

“Care to explain why you kissed that human bitch in MY house?”

“Why should I explain myself to you?!”

“Because if you want her to live in the next 5 minutes, you will explain yourself”

“We were just talking, I got too comfortable and I kissed her. What’s the big fuckin deal?!”

“Do you forget who I am hanyou?!”

“An asshole rapist or so as elegantly put, my mate”

“Look, I’m sorry for kissing her okay, can we just drop it?” Inuyasha took his leave out the door and shut it behind him. After he took 3 steps, he heard the shattering of glass. He instantly took off in a run.

All done for now, sorry if its short. It’s a possibility that later chapters could be short until major timing comes in. Well, I’m going to work on Experiment now, tootles!
