Chapter 33

Meeting at Sakura Park

Sango was checked out and sitting in the bed of her room at the hotel. Kagome had healed her again and the only thing that was left was a scar. Sango was happy to hear that. She'd rather have a scar than go through all the time and pain it took to heal regularly.

Right now they were all watching a movie. They didn't want to leave Sango alone with nothing to do. They had all just gotten comfortable when they heard someone at the door. "Come in." Inuyasha yelled not wanting to leave the comfortable position he was in. His head was in Kagome's lap and she was rubbing his ears.

Sesshomaru walked into the room. "We have a problem." He said.

"What problem?" Inuyasha asked.

"A letter came." Sesshomaru said. "It says to meet at Sakura Park or they'll come after you."

"Who wants to meet us?" Inuyasha sat up.

"Its signed with a spider mark." Sesshomaru said.

"Its...its Naraku." Kagome said. "That's his symbol."

"What the hell does he want to meet us for? Does he say who he wants to meet?" Inuyasha asked.

"All of you." Sesshomaru said. "And Shippo."

"Shippo's at his aunt's house." Kagome said.

"Well he wants you there as soon as you read the note." Sesshomaru said.

"Why the Sakura Park? Why now?" Sango asked.

"No one's at the Sakura Park at this time of day." Miroku said. "That and it's far away from anything. You can't drive to the park. You have to walk a mile before reaching the middle of it."

"That makes sense." Kagome said. Everyone looked at her. "Any time he does something its away from everything."

"Don't worry Kagome." Inuyasha said sensing the uneasiness in her. "We'll be fine."

"I guess we have to go now." Miroku said.

"I'm not going anywhere near that guy without a weapon." Sango said.

"I have plenty of things in my study." Sesshomaru said. "Come with me."

Everyone followed Sesshomaru into the elevator and then to his study. No one had seen it before. No one even knew he had one. Two of the walls were covered with books. Another one was a window and the other wall had weapons on it.

"What the hell do you need weapons for?" Inuyasha asked. He'd seen his brother fight.

"I collect them. I have no other use for them." Sesshomaru said. "I just hope you know how to use them."

"I know how to use a katana." Sango said.

"So do I." Miroku said. They each picked one off of the wall.

"I would have the tetsusaiga if Sesshomaru would give it back." Inuyasha said.

"Quit your whining." Sesshomaru said. He walked to a desk that was in the middle of the room and pulled it out of the long middle drawer. He tossed it to him.

"Oi, don't throw it." Inuyasha said.

"Why did he take it again?" Miroku asked.

"After he learned how to use Kaze no Kizu he destroyed three buildings." Sesshomaru said.

"Hey there was no one in them." Inuyasha said.

"I was forced to take it away." Sesshomaru said.

"I remember that Inuyasha had a broken wrist right?" Miroku laughed.

"Shut up Miroku." Inuyasha said while hitting Miroku.

"Aren't you going to pick one Kagome?" Sango asked.

"I don't know how to use weapons. Besides I have my miko powers." Kagome said.

"It wouldn't matter." Sesshomaru said. "He wants Kagome alive remember."

"You're right Sesshomaru." Miroku said.

"He's not getting her." Inuyasha said.

"We can take a car to the outside of the park. After that we'll have to walk the rest of the way." Miroku said.

"A car is already waiting for you downstairs." Sesshomaru said. "Don't do anything stupid Inuyasha."

"I won't." Inuyasha said. He took Kagome's hand and walked out of the room.

They all walked outside and got into the car after they figured out which one it was. The ride to the park was silent. No one knew what to say. They were all worried about what would happen once they got there.

When they got there they started their walk to the center of the park. Inuyasha held Kagome's hand in reassurance. As soon as they got about a third of the way there they were attacked by youkai.

"Are these the ones?" A snake youkai hissed.

The wolf youkai next to him sniffed the air. "They're the ones. Don't hurt the girl with the dress. Naraku wants her alive and unharmed." He said.

"Let's do it then." The snake youkai said. He slithered close to them and swung his tail. Sango jumped back out of the way and managed to slice the snake's tail off. He hissed in pain.

He turned his attention to Sango and Miroku was able to kill it from behind. Inuyasha was busy fighting the wolf youkai. They were both swinging and missing each other. The wolf was much more skilled in fighting than the snake.

Kagome waited for a chance to help if she could. She saw one when the wolf fell to the ground after being hit by Inuyasha. She shot some energy at him and he crumbled to the ground.

"Why would he send such weak youkai after us?" Sango asked.

"He's just playing with us." Kagome said.

"Kagome." Inuyasha said.

"Let's go. We still have a long ways to go from what you said earlier." Kagome said. She started walking ahead of them.

"Oi, don't leave my side." Inuyasha yelled as he chased after her.

They had finally gotten to the middle of the park. They were attacked by numerous youkai on the way. They'd finally stopped coming when they got to the park. "Well where the hell is he?" Inuyasha yelled.

"So you've finally arrived." Kagura said coming from above them on a feather.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Inuyasha growled.

"I'm here to finish the girl off." Kagura said. She looked at Sango. "Feeling better?"

"I'm going to kill you." Sango said. She started towards Kagura but was stopped by Miroku.

"Don't Sango. I'm going to do it." He said. "You hurt Sango and I won't forgive you for it."

"What can you do? Your hand is going to eventually suck up all your loved ones." Kagura laughed.

Suddenly youkai gathered around Kagura. "Go and kill them all." She yelled.

The youkai screeched and headed toward them. "We can't fight them all off." Miroku said. "There's too many."

"Just do the best you can." Inuyasha yelled.

They all fought endlessly. One youkai after the other. It never stopped. They were all growing tired. Kagome tried to help but she could feel her body weaken. She was using too much energy.

Then Kagura showed up in front of her. "Getting tired?" She said. Then she hit Kagome and knocked her to the ground.

Kagome quickly recovered and stood back up. "It's no use. You'll waste all your energy fighting me." Kagura laughed. She waved her hand. A youkai showed up behind Kagome and threw her toward a tree. Kagura's laughter was the last thing Kagome heard before falling unconscious.

Inuyasha looked for Kagome. When he saw her on the ground his anger grew. "Miroku, Sango get behind me now." Inuyasha said. They saw the look in his eyes and did what they were told.

"Kaze no Kizu." Inuyasha said as soon as he saw the break in the wind.

A bright flash was all anyone could see. When the light disappeared the youkai crumbled to the ground. A breeze blew what was left of their enemies away. Kagura stood where she was stunned. She was able to shield herself from his attack. She had no idea he had that kind of power.

Inuyasha stood panting. He was glaring murderously at Kagura. He prepared to attack Kagura. As soon as he saw his chance he swung the tetsusaiga. Kagura knew what he was doing from earlier. "Kanna!" She yelled.

She quickly spun around and a girl who was all white stood behind her with a mirror. She held it up and the attack was reflected back at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha didn't even see the attack coming at him. It hit him full force and he was knocked back. He only stopped when he slammed into a tree. "Inuyasha!" Sango and Miroku yelled.

Kagura laughed. "I think I've done enough damage for now." She said. She grabbed a feather from her hair and flew away with Kanna.

Miroku and Sango ran to Inuyasha. "Sango go see if Kagome is all right." Miroku yelled. Sango nodded and ran towards Kagome. She had a bump on her head and a small wound coming from it.

Inuyasha on the other hand wasn't as lucky as Kagome. His whole left side was cut up. A long gash from his attack had hit him. He would be ok as soon as they bandaged him up. He would need a couple of days to heal.

Miroku picked Inuyasha up and Sango picked Kagome up and they walked back to the car. The whole way they were hoping that they would be ok.

A long mile later they had finally made it to the car. They were rushed over to the hotel where their wounds were taken care of. After they were bandaged up Miroku went to talk to Sesshomaru and tell him of what happened.

Sesshomaru had told him of a call they had gotten earlier. The detective they had talked to earlier wanted to see them immediately. Sesshomaru told him to ignore him until Inuyasha and Kagome were healed.

Apparently the detective had heard about what happened to Sango. He was put on the case of finding out who had tried to hurt her.

Miroku nodded and walked upstairs. "Any change?" He asked.

"No, they're both still out cold." Sango said.

"They'll be fine." Miroku said. "We have another problem to deal with."
