Kagome got on the bus Sango in front of her. A little girl grabbed her arm saying, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure thing little girl." Kagome said smiling at the little kid.

"Why'd you let them kill me?" The little girl said.

"I-I" Kagome couldn't say anything else; she just tried to get her hand away.

"You didn't save me!" The little girl screamed at her. "You're nothing but a stupid, weak, little miko!"

"I'm sorry!" Kagome cried. She looked over at Sango, but she was just shaking her head at her. "I tried!"

"You didn't think of anyone but yourself when you ran away from the bus!" The little girl yelled. Her smooth skin was starting to look like she had been dead for a year.

"Let me go I'm sorry!" Kagome cried trying to get away.

"Kagome! Kagome snap out of it!" Kagome shot up panting, tears running down her face. "Kagome its ok…." Inuyasha said rubbing her back.

"Are you ok Kagome?" Sango asked from beside her.

Kagome nodded as she started to get up. "I'm fine." She stood up straight wiping the tears from her eyes. "It was just a dream."

"Let's get going." Inuyasha said standing up and walking into the back of the cave where Miroku was still sleeping. "We'll walk back to the road and get to the nearest place. Miroku, there's a hot girl here said something about taking you up on your offer."

"I'm here!" Miroku said shooting up. "Aww Inuyasha that wasn't cool."

"I wanted to leave some time today." Inuyasha said pointing outside to show that it was daylight. "Now let's go before something happens."

Inuyasha walked outside with Miroku beside him, and Sango and Kagome a few feet behind them. They finally made it back to the road but they saw the bus. Apparently they were still looking for people, probably just them.

"Please help me!" Some one cried as he ran up behind them.

Kagome turned around and saw a little boy with a fox tail, and pointed ears, he had red hair too. She bent down so she was closer to his eye level. "Yes, ok, we'll help don't worry."

"Thank you." He smiled. "What's your name, mine's Shippo."

"I'm Kagome, that's Sango, Inuyasha, and Miroku." Kagome said motioning to each of them.

"Let's get going." Inuyasha said turning around. "By the way kid, did you see anyone else?"

"No they killed my friends, and I lost them back in the woods." Shippo said trying to sound brave.

"Ok then." Inuyasha said as he started walking.

Kagome stood up and took Shippo's hand and they started following Inuyasha.

"Is he always like that?" Shippo asked looking up at Kagome and Sango.

"Most of the time." Sango said looking down at him.

"Feh." They heard Inuyasha as he looked back at them for a second.

"I see." Shippo said looking at Inuyasha, then back at Kagome. "You smell like him. Were you two hugging?"

Kagome looked down at him blushing slightly, "I had a bad dream he tried to comfort me."

"Ohhh." Shippo said letting go of Kagome's had smiling. "So he can be nice."

"You three I'm right in front of you. I can hear you." Inuyasha said over his shoulder.

"Tsk tsk, Inuyasha the kid is just curious about us." Miroku said with a smile.

"Watch it Lecher." Inuyasha said glaring at him.

"What's a Lecher?" Shippo asked looking up at Sango.

"It means he's a pervert." Sango said glaring at Miroku.

"Ohhh."

After that it was relatively quiet after that. After about an hour or so of walking they finally made it to a little town.

"Let's go call the police." Kagome said as they walked up to the gas station.

"Can we get something to eat?" Shippo asked as they stood in front of the payphone.

"Yeah I have some money in my pocket." Sango said leading Shippo inside.

"I'll go with them." Miroku said following Sango.

"You got a quarter?" Inuyasha said digging threw his pockets.

"Yeah I should." Kagome said pulling out two quarters.

"One will do." Inuyasha said taking one and dialing.

"Hello yes I would like to speak to some one in charge." Inuyasha said looking over at Kagome who was looking around.

"I'm officer Kaede." An old lady said over the phone.

"Yes me and my friends were almost killed and we need some help."

"Ok, where are you?" She asked more urgently.

Inuyasha looked over at Kagome kind of lost. "Umm let me send my friend inside." Inuyasha put his hand over the mouth piece of the phone and said, "Kagome go inside and find out where the hell we are."

"Western Town." Kagome said pointing over to the welcome sign.

"We're in Western Town out side the Village Gas station." Inuyasha said looking over at Kagome who was leaning against the wall deep in thought.

"I'll be there in fifteen minutes; I'm in the next town over." Kaede said you could here in the background fighting, and Kaede pulled the phone away from her mouth. "Get that under control! Umm would you like me to get someone on here to stay just incase something happens?"

"No that's ok we'll be fine." Inuyasha said as Kagome's eyes watered, he couldn't even see her eyes it was just the tears rolling down her face. "We'll stay right here, bye."

"See you in fifteen minutes." Kaede said hanging up the phone.

Inuyasha put the phone back on the receiver and walked over to Kagome. "Stop crying it's not your fault." He said in a low growl, it might have been harsh but he was going to get his point through.

"But what if I can't save Shippo?" Kagome choked out.

"Save me from what? Kagome why are you crying?" Shippo asked standing next to Kagome with Sango and Miroku behind him.

Kagome shook her head wiping the tears from her eyes, "It's nothing Shippo."

"Is this about your dream?" Shippo asked innocently.

"Kinda Shippo, I don't want you to be in it." Kagome said patting him on the head.

Before he could say any thing else Inuyasha started, "Officer Kaede will be here in fifteen minutes. We're going to stay here so she knows where we are, so we might as well take a seat."

Shippo thought better of asking Kagome seeing as Inuyasha seemed all of a sudden protective of Kagome and sat down. He was a strange half demon by his books. Inuyasha sat right next to Kagome ready for anything that might happen. Any closer and they would be touching, all it would take was one move, and probably how Inuyasha wanted it. Sango and Miroku were on his other side very quiet with the bag of food they had just bought. "Can I have my candy bar?"

"Sure thing Shippo." Sango said cheerfully with a smile. "Here you go."

Shippo took it and slowly ate it looking around. He wanted to move but figured it would be better off to stay still. Inuyasha seemed like he was very close to hurting anything that made him the slightest bit mad.

After what seem longer then fifteen minutes to everyone a police car parked in front of them, and an old lady step out and walked up to them. "Are you the kids that called the police?"

Inuyasha stood up with everyone and said, "Yeah we are."

"Can I have some names to call you by?" Kaede asked looking at each of them.

Kagome started motioning to everyone, "That's Inuyasha, Shippo, Sango, Miroku, and I'm Kagome."

"Thank you. Would you two sit in front and the rest of you sit in the back?" Kaede said pointing at Kagome and Shippo.

"Ok." Everyone said as they all got in the car.
