Seeing You Again- Chapter 2- Are You Ok?

*Flashback from last time*

-Sounds of a plane flying overhead-

'Did I just hear a plane?'

*End Flashback*

Kagome's head shot up from the comfy place it had been resting. She blinked, looked around, and stared to the sky.

'That was a plane. I know it was...but were in Senko Judai! That can't be possible. I must have hit my head when I--'

"EEP!"

Kagome was suddenly lifted into the air, by a red flying object, a bow shoved into her hands and being held against a tree.

"Inuyasha," Kagome whispered violently," what on earth are you thinking!?"

"Shhh!" Inuyasha covered her mouth with his hand.

"Minuasha!!! Ot n arth s oing on?"

"Quite Kagome," he whispered into ear," like I said last night...things are going to come after you now. Ones down there right....shit. Stay up here Kagome. Don't move."

Inuyasha leaned Kagome down against the tree, making sure she couldn't fall, and hopped back down to the ground. Kagome peered over the side of the tree to see the last person either Kagome or Inuyasha wanted to see.

"Kouga." Inuyasha snarled, bearing his fangs, gripping the handle to Testigua.

"Inuyasha." Kouga smirked, a glimmer of maliciousness in his eyes. Kagome saw that, it only made her worry.

'Something's not right....this isn't Kouga. This isn't him. That look...is he really after...'

"Where's the jewel dog turd?"

'Yep'

"What does it concern you wimpy wolf?" Inuyasha's grip only tightened on the handle of Testigua.

"Let me rephrase this for you, baka, where's MY WOMAN?" Kouga got in a fighting position, ready to jump on Inuyasha.

"YOUR WOMAN? You've got it all wrong Kouga! How do you know that you can even protect Kagome? Hunh? She's ten times stronger than you'll ever be!"

"Ha! Yea right!" Kouga scoffed. No way could some human, no human woman, be stronger than him. Even with out the jewel shards.

"Really? Then prove it you S.O.B.!"

"Fine. I'll kill you to prove my self-worthy of MY WOMAN and the jewel. I already know that you're hurt, hurt bad. You'll be no problem to beat."

"Kouga! Your fight is with me. Not Inuyasha." Kagome yelled from the trees, an arrow drawn, aimed at Kouga.

"Feh. Why would I want to fight a woman? It would be a total joke. No woman or any other person can beat me." Inuyasha snarled, trying to contain his rage at Kouga's comment, and his total lack of respect. Kouga stood as if this were all a joke, calm, his defenses down.

"How about you just come down here Kagome, give me the jewel, and become my mate, ne?"

"How about not!" Kagome's arrow, now glowing a fiery hot pink (A/N: Is that even a color??? :waves banners that say kick ass Kagome!!:), aimed right for Kouga's heart, was zooming through the air. Kouga, surprised by the action, had little time to move, and got hit in the shoulder, the arrow piercing through the back side of his shoulder, started to purify his body.

"You bitch!!!" Kouga screamed in a high-pitched voice, retreating into the woods once again, hopefully never to be seen again.

Kagome felt that weird feeling again, the one she had when she defeated Naraku. She looked down to Inuyasha, dropped her bow grasping for the tree, and started to swoon.

"Inuyasha..." Kagome voiced in a whisper. Her legs collapsed beneath her, and then her world went black for the second time in two days.

((3 Hours Later))

*Sounds of a jet from above*

'Now a jet? What the hell is going on!?' Kagome opened her eyes and looked to the sky, nothing was there, again.

"Kagome?"

Kagome tilted her head back to see two beautiful amber eyes staring into hers. She was resting in Inuyasha's lap, leaning against his chest, his arms wrapped around her waist.

"..." His lips were moving but she couldn't hear what he was saying. A puzzled and confused look registered on her face, and worry entered Inuyasha's eyes.

"What did you say Inuyasha?" Finally finding her voice Kagome was able to speak.

"I asked if you were all right. Are you Kagome?" Kagome could hear the concern in Inuyasha's voice.

"Yea. Thanks for being so worried. But wait, are you ok?" Kagome move around quickly to peer down at Inuyasha's stomach, which had looked like it had re-opened during the little scene with Kouga. Inuyasha hated when she got so worried about him, not that he minded the extra attention, but she didn't deserve to be so worried about some one like him.

"I'm fine. All that matters is that you're ok." He turned Kagome around so that her back was resting against his chest. Inuyasha pulled the blanket back over them, to stay warm, and positioned his arms around her waist again.

"Don't you mean the Jewel, Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha was a bit taken back by the comment. Kagome kept her normal voice, but there was a bit of despair in it, just like when she had asked about Kikyo. He moved his head so that his chin was resting on her shoulder, and brushed some hair behind her ear.

"No, I mean you, Kagome. Don't you remember? I said that I wouldn't use the jewel; that I would stay a half-demon...for you. Remember?"

"Yea...I do remember, but you've changed so much, I don't know what to believe any more. It's the same as what just happened with Kouga. I thought we were all allies, but he changed..."

"Kagome," Inuyasha whispered into the young girl's ear," do you trust me. Do you trust me like when we were in the stone-oin's stomach, and you gave me the Jewel shards to increase Testigua's power?"

Doubt was starting to enter Inuyasha's voice. He became worried, that Kagome didn't trust him any more, and thought that he was going to turn on her at any second. He didn't like that thought at all.

"Of course I still do. I have, and always will. When we were in that stomach...I felt so happy, so safe. I knew that we were going to get us out. I never had a doubt. It was the same when I fell out of the tree and blacked out. I felt safe, because I knew that you were going to catch me, and keep me out of harms way. I only trust you like that because...because...I--"

"KAGOME!!!! YOU'RE AWAKE!!!!!"

A/N: Ok...I lied. :doges angry reviewers and flying rotten fruits: I didn't have time to write during my vacation because I was having to much fun with my cousins. I personally like this chapter, just because you get to see a sweet side of Inuyasha (in my opinion at least) and the strong womanly side of Kagome. I was actually inspired by a shirt I got on vacation that says : I'm a girl, I'm an athlete, and I'm gonna kick butt! I liked it and it inspired me. I'm sorry about the Kouga bashing for all you K/K fans but this is a I/K pairing, so I had to get rid of him some how ^^;; :dodges rotten fruit being thrown by Kog/Kag fans: That's all I have for now...I'll try to update later this week, if not the weekend at the latest.
