Eventually, Kagome awoke. Her eyes opened slowly. Her head hurt, her stomach ached and her vision was blurred. The one thing she could see was Sesshy, looking down at her. She didn't react. She felt emotionless. All her senses were occupied by pain. Sesshy had had a chance to really look at her while she was unconscious. (Tina: I can't get over how perverted you make things sound. Me: shut up. Tina: well you do! Me: *handcuffs Tina* you have the right to remain silent! Tina: *looks at cuffs funny* where the hell did you get these? You're not a cop. Me: I took them off some guys wrists, he really didn't seem to want them…Tina: *smacks forehead*) and as he looked he wondered. There was something different in her appearance. And then he noticed her clothes. They were baggy and cheap and simple. Then he saw that she wore no makeup. Only her natural features showed. Her hair was a mess, sticking up from static. And after seeing all of this, he could only think {She's beautiful.} and nothing could change how he felt. She sat up and groaned, putting a hand to her head and trying to endure the throbbing pain. "Kagome." He said, barely audible. Her ears burned from the noise. She whined pitifully, for it seemed as loud as a plane taking off. He ran her fingers through her sleek hair. Kagome just sat there. Her eyes were empty of emotion. The pain was unbearable though. It was an agonizing sensation. It filled every nerve in every limb and sense, no matter how slight her movement. Sesshy noted how much pain she was in. it was obvious even though she fought not to let it show. He got her a pillow, and helped her to lie down, then draped a blanket over her. He sighed. They obviously wouldn't be able to talk anytime soon. He pushed softly on the door, preparing to confer with Souta about her condition, but Kagome shifted her head toward him and muttered something. He turned o look at her, and shuffled a few steps closer. He kneeled down and whispered as softly as he could. "Kagome?" she spoke. Louder this time. "What am I doing here…" Sesshy hadn't really thought about what caused her temporary death. But he suddenly sensed Kikyo's aura. It was all around Kagome's motionless body. "Kikyo…" he muttered. "She put some sort of curse on you," he stated in a low growl. "Souta brought you here. I used my sword, Tensaiga, to save you." Kagome slowly absorbed this information. "Where is Souta now?" she asked, straining to keep her voice clear. "He said he'd wait outside."

{Wait? For what?} She thought, confused. Sesshy didn't know what else to say. Kagome made a painstaking effort to sit up again. "Lie down. Rest." He said soothingly. It tempted Kagome, but she just couldn't stay with Sesshy. They still hadn't really talked. "I have to get home." She said, standing up. Her mind screamed in anguishing pain but she forced her self to the door, and then leaned on it for a minute. Sesshy shook his head. "Your in no condition to walk around." He said. Kagome glared at him. "I'll do whatever I feel like!" she snapped, and staggered outside. He watched as Souta jumped up and hugged Kagome. Then as they walked away, without one glance back. He sighed and closed the door. (YES! GOOOO SESSHY! …. Wait, what number is that? Tina: …you mean you haven't been keeping count? Me: oops. Well whatever, SESSHY WINS CAUSE HE'S BETTER! Tina: -.-; and she wonders why she was held back in kindergarten…)
