A/N: hey all, I've been receiving reviews, thanks! Oh yah and sum suggestions in a couple too. I've been spelling Sota wrong so yeah…and I guess I interrupt the story a lot. I'll try not to, but it's just me and my sense of humor. And yah I don't write out their full names, because its tiring, u know, to write Inuyasha or Sesshomauru over and over. And I don't appreciate the comment about me being stupid for that. And I am in fact, using spell check; it just doesn't pick up some things that's all. So yah if any of that's concerning u, there ya go. On with the story… Tina: ….yes

By the time they had reached the well, Kagome was aching all over. She sat down on the wooden edge, and Sota planted himself beside her. He was concerned; not just about Kagome's health, but also with the way she had left Sesshy. All Kagome thought about was what Miroku and Sango and Shippo would think when she didn't visit. She probably wouldn't be able to see them `till the end of next week. She sighed. (*Hums idly* Tina: Kagome just sighed you know…Me: yea but the wars over so instead *hits Kagome with club* I'll just hit her for it ^_^) Sota finally said something. "Kagome…what's going on with you and Sesshy?" Kagome snapped out of her thoughts. "What do you mean?" She asked all too quickly. It was Sota's turn to sigh. He gave Kagome a purposeful look. "He likes you. A lot. It's obvious…I thought you liked him too, until the way you treated him." When Kagome shook her head as though she had no idea what was talking about, he rolled his eyes. "He just saved you're life for hell's sake!" He said, putting emphasis on every word. Kagome pursed her lips. "No," she said, "You saved my life Souta. You: with your quick thinking and strength. Not him and his stupid sword." She distracted herself from looking at her brother, and focused on her shadow that spread tall across the lush green grass. Sota wasn't giving up that easy. "But he did the actual life-saving. He could have turned you away. I'm sure you must've said something to hurt him before, after the way you spoke to him today. But he was forgiving." Kagome made a sarcastic sort of grunt. "How can you be sure that I hurt him, and that it's not the other way around." It was more of a statement then a question. As though she was already saying it was. The other way around, that is. But it wasn't and she knew it. (DENIAL! Tina: shut up!) "Because I just know," he said with a strange semblance of confidence. Kagome was wearing tired, and couldn't think of how to argue with this. "Right. Whatever. So what do you propose I should do?"

"Talk. To him I mean." He made it sound so simple. So simple, that Kagome made a half effort to stand up. But once she did, she couldn't move. {What am I gonna say?} She thought {I still don't know how I feel…} But she hadn't tried to figure it out. She had avoided it at all costs. And she realized this. {Actually got raped over coming to see Sesshy.} She mused to herself. It wasn't really funny, but that was just what came to her mind. In other words: how stupid she had been. Sota, as if sensing she was somewhat ready, nudged her. "Go on." He said. Kagome took a step feeling strength return to her. Then she stopped. "But, mom called last night. She said she would be back at 4pm," she mumbled, discouraged. How had it gotten so late? {I must have been unconscious for way longer than I thought. It's 3:42pm right now.} "Don't worry," Souta said smiling, "I'll cover for ya." Kagome looked unsure, but something told her she should go. (It's called a conscience god dammit! Tina: I thought it was a little voice…) "well I'll be back no later than an hour." {…. Yeah…and pigs can fly…} Sota thought, as he smirked to himself. "By all means `Gome, take your time!" She broke off a piece from the jewel and handed it to him. "Wipe that smile off your face! God what has Television done to children?!" She thought aloud. He just chuckled, winked and taking the shard, climbed down the well. Kagome dug her hands in her pockets and began her short journey back to Sesshy's.

~Meanwhile~

Kikyo had just returned from her usual sneaking, lurking, and eavesdropping. She was filled with rage at what she saw, and she spoke sharply to Inuyasha. Not that he really noticed the tone of her voice. Once becoming full demon, he was like her puppet. Loved her, obeyed her, did this without emotion. And she was satisfied too. Couldn't care less about Inuyasha's mind. She was just happy that she had him. He was hers, and Kagome, whom she'd never liked one bit, was without Inu. She was also, of course, after a miserable existence, supposed to be dead. But no, Kikyo had discovered that her plan had backfired. Of course she had thought of the sword, but never expected anyone to be accompanying her, and hadn't before noticed that Kagome and Sesshy had some sort of friendship. She briefly explained what she had discovered to Inuyasha, who merely agreed that it was unacceptable, and then got closer. He began to kiss her roughly, but Kikyo pushed him back. "Not now Inuyasha. Now, we plan…Kagome's future is about to be cancelled." Inuyasha backed off obediently and nodded. "Hm…Naraku would have done a perfect job in eliminating her. But seeing as they somehow managed to defeat him…" She snapped her fingers suddenly. "I've got it!" She squealed in delight, as she jumped out of her seat. "I'll just have to create something…something more powerful…" Her fringes fell back down and shadowed her eyes, which sparked a crimson red as she begun to plan…

Since Kagome still wasn't sure what she was going to say, she decided she'd take that trail she had sort of invented that night, {was it really only a few days ago?!} The one that led by the spring, for inspiration. Then she saw Sesshy. He was dangling his legs into the water, from where he rested on a large rock. She breathed in sharply at the surprise. Although Sesshy had already known she was there, he now had a reason to turn, and stare into her eyes, with his own, dark blue concrete ones.

A/N: yea I did kinda leave you in anticipation, sorry about that, but you only have to wait a day or two more. Tina: I call the shrink, and they review; yet you still don't put in the juicy part! Me: *rolls her eyes* what do you mean by juicy, exactly? Tina: you know what I mean! Me: actually no *tapes Tina's mouth shut before she can respond* okay well REVIEWS! Thank you, thank you! Hehe bye
