The First Shard

 

“I am so sorry Reiko, but she must stay away for a while.” Inuyasha said to Kagome's mom. “It's okay Inuyasha, just take care of her while you are gone okay?” Reiko replied with a smile. Inuyasha gave her a nod and jumped into the well. `I'll protect her with my life…'

 

Kagome woke up. She found Inuyasha sleeping next to her. She smiled and pulled his little ears to wake him up. He looked at Kagome and gave her a gentle smile. “Good morning.” He said. “I love these little ears… You're such a good dog.” she said softly as she continued tugging his ears. She watched happily as a familiar anger appeared on his face again. “DON”T TREAT ME LIKE A DOG!!!!!!!!!” Sesshomaru looked up from his place half across the world. `I thought I heard something…' He shrugged and started walking again. “Kagome…” She gave a smile. He started to walk over to her. She giggled and said, “Sit boy.” He cursed loudly as he peeled his face off the floor. Kagome giggled and ran. “Oh and who's Kagome?” He started to chase her until… He caught a whiff of Kagome's scent. But… Kagome was in the forest… Unless! It's one of Kagome's shards! He chased Kagome and scooped her into his hands. She let out a squeal of delight and wrapped herself around his back. Once he made sure she was comfortable, he leapt toward the scent.

 

He sniffed the air. The shard wasn't alone; it was with other youkai, from his smell a spider one. He gave himself a smile. It wasn't so strong though. He went as fast he could. When he reached it, the youkai was larger than he thought it would be. A pang of realization hit him. Kagome's shards were like the Shikon no Tama! They increased a demon's power. But, Kagome's shards increased the power more! He gave himself a smirk. Kagome's heart was purer than anything in the world. The spider youkai gave a roar and charged at him. He narrowed his eyes and dodged at the last moment. It gave out a roar of anger and charged at him again. “You're feisty one eh?” he said after he dodged the attack again. He drew the Tetsusaiga. “You die now! Wind Scar!”

 

The youkai screamed in agony. Inuyasha smirked. The youkai stood up again. It showed its ugly fangs and ran toward Kagome. “No you don't! Kongousouha!” Thousands of crystals blasted from his fang and dug themselves in the youkai's backside. It died and turned into dust. He saw the shine of her shard in all of the dust. He jumped and grabbed it. He couldn't stop the blinding smile that appeared on his face. `It's the first shard of her memory!' He gave a roar of victory. Kagome walked over. “What are you so happy about?” she asked softly. He gave her the shard. She held the shard in her hands. It began to glow a soft blue light. It floated up and it begin to melt right into the middle of her forehead. When it disappeared completely, the circle appeared over her head again. This time, there were only nine spaces left. Then she collapsed. Inuyasha ran to her side. He shook her gently. She groaned and woke up. “Are you alright? You're not hurt are you lady?” he asked softly. “COULD YOU CALL ME BY MY NAME?!” she screamed at him. He smiled at her. “It's nice to have you back Kagome.” She looked at him and blinked in confusion. “Wench…” She narrowed her eyes and screamed, “SIT!!!” With that said she walked away leaving a nice Inuyasha sized crater.

 

It was nighttime now, and like always, Inuyasha was in a tree, awake. He watched Kagome move in her sleep. “Inuyasha… mmm… flower ice creams… KYAH! DIE! Touch me again and you die…” Kagome mumbled. Inuyasha gawked at her. `She's gone crazy…' he thought. He was about to turn around again until he smelled… her arousal?! He turned around toward Kagome again. He could just hear her faint murmurs. “Inuyasha… Please… Don't… tease…” He gasped. He felt himself getting aroused. He shook his head. Sure he wanted her too, but he had to wait until he found all of her memory shards. He had only gotten her the one with her name. He jumped down from the tree and shook her awake. She woke up. “Inuyasha!” she cried and pressed her lips against his.

Okay, here's the thing, it's gonna take me a while to publish more of these stories; homework is really starting to pile on. It's hard to stay in collage and do these stories too. O_o Oh shoot did I say that?!
