It seems that everyone's beginning to notice that Dark is being just a little too good. He has to something wrong eventually, right? Dark's not all perfect. I was delighted when >Hopeless16< put up a comment that said they thought Dark was being a lil too nice. Someone's running down the right track. And don't forget, we're still very early into this story. I'm giving Dark something of an excuse to go all evil on us, but still this proves that he ain't all good. You were waiting for it to twist a little. So here goes.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING DARK
And so he dreamed...
Dark was walking through the woods, saddened by something he didn't understand. He was missing something. Where was Daisuke? Where was everybody? Anybody? Frantically, he searched. And he found the last person he wanted to see. "You...." Dark growled softly. "Inuyasha."
Inuyasha turned to glare at the intruder. "What are you doing here?" He spat. "You're the reason Kagome left!"
"Left?" He frowned. "You mean when she left you?" Dark was suddenly very confused. "No. I just met her. She said she left you because you were two timing her." Dark glared now. "She's so upset about you! What did you do?"
"I don't owe you any explanations! I have my own problems to deal with." Inuyasha was shaking with anger. "Now tell her to come back to me."
"NO!" Dark laughed darkly. "She's mine now. You lost."
"She's not yours!"
"She is." Dark crossed his arms and flicked his wings impatiently. Oh. He had his wings with him. Weird. "I told her I loved her. I think that she's starting to love me too."
Inuyasha lurched at Dark. He put the point of his oversized sword to Dark's throat. "Is that what you plan to beat me with?" Dark hissed. "An oversized butterknife? At least I have faith in my own strength."
Inuyasha grinned. "Oh. I have faith in my own strength. So much so that I carry the sword so that I don't use it. But not any more!" He threatened. "Now I'm coming for Kagome. She's coming with me this time."
And then Dark woke up. He was buried withen the depths of Dai's mind. There was a tingling sensation ringing through Dai's ears. Dark could feel something was wrong. Shifting into his own form, Dark got off the bed and began searching for Wiz.
He was going to fix things for good.

Kagome was asleep in her Aunt's apartment when a light tapping disturbed her. Sighing, she sat up and strained her eyes through the dark room to see who was at....her window? Kagome jumped to her feet and stumbled across the room, flinging the window open. She gasped as Inuyasha pushed his way inside. Then she slid the lid down to close it. "Inu-" She started, but was interrupted as Inuyasha pulled her into a tight hug.
"Kagome.." He whispered softly, stroking her hair. Kagome couldn't breath. She didn't know what to think anymore. "I'm sorry, Kagome..." He continued. "Please come back with me?" He was begging. Kagome hated when he begged. Inuyasha was not meant to grovel. But here he was, trying to persuade her back to him once again.
She instinctively put wrapped her arms around him and burried her face in his shoulder. "But Inuyasha, I have nothing to gain by staying in the past. You..you're in love with Kikyo." She spat, "And not with me! I can't stand to be there while you're looking at another woman with more love than you would even think to aim at me."
"But I need you to come back, Kagome!" He squeezed her tighter. "Please, for me...."
"Nnn." She just couldn't say it. She couldn't say no, but she could. "Inuyasha," she said while pulling away. The miko looked directly into his eyes and faltered. It took her nearly a minute to regain her courage. "If you love me more than her, then I will go with you. If not...then I stay here with D....my Aunt."
Dark. His smiling face popped into her mind. She frowned. Would she miss him if she left? Would he miss her?
Did it matter?
"I-I love you Kagome!" Inuyasha blushed and turned away. Kagome's heart lept a little. "Wh-what? More than her?"
Inuyasha looked hesitant. The thoughts that ran through his mind betrayed the answer he gave Kagome. "Yes." He said, looking straight into her eyes. "Yes, I do."
Kagome fell into his embrace, crying like a new born babe. Inuyasha held her close, hating the lie, but not caring all the same. He just wanted to be happy. And he needed her to find the rest of the Shikon Jewel. He was using her. But he didn't care.
As Inuyasha held the girl and thought about her former self, Dark watched outside with a glare on his face. His heart was torn in two. If this is what Kagome wanted, he would let her go, right? ....Wrong. I am the great Phantom Thief and a demon as well. I will get what I want. And no bloody hanyou is about to stop me. He flapped his wings impatiently. Things were about to go very bad for Kagome. Very bad, indeed.
