[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Hello peeps. The delay in my posting has a lot to do with school & my love of reading other people's fanfics {^.^} So sorry. I'm in a bit of a fowl mood, so forgive any extra gore or unhappy characters. Just read and don't complain. Encourage me if you wish. It would be appreciated.
And for my sake, go read "Flying With Broken Wings" by mustangs_chibi & check out some of my other stuffs. I would really love it if people would get into my Freddy Kruger Fic a bit more.
I got & watched every episode of DNangel. It was great! I cried at the end and was very very upset with what happened to Dark! {I'm not tellin if ya don't know!} I'm saying this now before ya'll start getting concerned. THIS FANFIC IS NOT TRUE TO THE ANIME! ...tho not really the manga either. *shrugs* oh well.
disclaimer: i do not own these characters. All rights belong to Rumiko Takahashi & Yukiru Sugisaki & who ever else they allow to associate with. And I'd like to thank them dearly for their characters! I love you two!!!
Review Luvs, just review & be nice & make me feel better, kays?
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
THE MOST HORRIBLE THING THAT DARK COULD DO
"I'm leaving." Kagome said to Dai with a smile and a shrug. "Tell Dark that I'm sorry?"
Dai was still staring at her. He remained absolutely silent. His eyes kept doing funny things today, and he kept shivering. "Kagome, I can't control him at all..." Dai hissed. "It's so hard...he's so mad." Dai gasped and clenched his fists.
Kagome was worried about him. "What's wrong Daisuke?" She asked him. "What could've made him act this way?"
"KAGOME!" Inuyasha was calling her from down the hall. Other students were staring at him either awestruck or afraid. "IT'S TIME TO GO!"
Daisuke did something that made Kagome jump back several feet; he leveled a glared towards the hanyou that would have shriveled a building. Then he turned his anger at her. "Kagome, I am Dark, and he is me. What he feels, I usually feel as well. You've made him horribly angry. You want to know what's wrong?" Dai pointed at the impatient hanyou. "That!" He spat before storming off.
Kagome gulped. She could have sworn that she'd heard not only Dai's voice but Dark's as well through that last comment. Kagome looked sadly at Dai's retreating form and turned around. She started walking toward Inuyasha who looked relieved to see her finally coming. "Bout friggen time!" He retorted, dragging her away. Kagome had already said her fairwells to the twins, who acted suspiciously odd at seeing her there.
Kagome's heart was doing funny things again. If she really loved Inuyasha as much as she knew she did, then why did she feel so reluctant to leave this place? Why did she think that she was missing out on something by walking away from this part of her life with Inuyasha? Why did she feel like she was lying to herself, and why oh why was the only person she could think of Dark? Why did Kagome feel like she was doing something wrong?
The true question was, what was she doing?

Dark was pissed.
That was the only way to put it. Dai couldn't stand it. He got a pass to use the restroom in his last class of the day and left the school. Sighing, Dai pulled the stolen shikon shard out of his pocket. Dark had snuck in and stole it from Kagome when she had been asleep.
It was time to figure out what was really going on with the girl.
Dai replayed the words of his grandfather through his head. "The Shikon no Tama is a powerful jewel that gives strength to those who are evil. The jewel was said to have been destroyed by the wishes of a powerful miko. Her heart was so pure and yet rotting with pain. So she did the only thing she could. She wished for everything to be better."
Better. That had sounded good. The story continued after a question from Dark. "Who is Inuyasha?" He had spat rather violently.
Grandpa had looked vaguely surprised. "Inuyasha was the son of the Inutaisho and a human, but both of his parents died. At eighteen he was struck to a tree by a miko. It was said that they were in love and a powerful demon split them apart and into hating eachother. Inuyasha was awakened by another miko fifty years later. In releasing him, the shikon jewel was accidentally broken and Inuyasha's demon enemy sought the jewel. Thus the miko and the hanyou had to recover it.
"They were assisted by a monk, kitsune, fire cat, taijiya, and various others. It's said that many tragedies befell these people, but in the end all but the miko died."
"Poor Kagome!" Dai hissed. Dark agreed. "Theoretically, would it make sense if the miko came from another time?"
"Well yes. Besides defying all that we know, if she came from another time, then it would explain why she was paraded so oddly. It was also said that she was a reincarnation of the priestess that Inuyasha was in love with. Quite a difficult time they had with that I would imagine."
"It explains a few things. How can we get to her though?"
"Hm?"
Daisuke looked at his grandfather. "We know the miko. She goes to our school. She even carries the jewel. And we know Inuyasha." He felt Dark's displeasantry once again. "I think we need to get to the past. How can we?"
"Beats me!" the grandpa shrugged happily. "Go to Higurashi Shrine in Tokyo. Ask her parents. I'm sure that they know!"
Oh. Duh. Dai felt Dark's agitation of not thinking of this sooner. "With." Dai hissed. By the time that the furry rabbit creature had transformed on his back, he had already taken Dark's form. "We fly." Dark said with a glower.
~~~Krappishly Short! Sorry, but at least I put something up right?
