Chapter 13
Lunch and bonding time.
We stood in line, got our food, and payed for it.
Then we carried our trays, and joined Inuyasha and the others at the table.
Bankotsu sat next to me, after we both ate he put his arm over the top of my chair.
Inuyasha looked at us and reminded sternly, "Since you two are dating now, I expect BOTH of you remember my warnings!"
We smiled and nodded.
Kagome elbowed Inuyasha in the ribs.
Kouga grinned and announced happily, "I for one am glad she has finally found a good guy!"
I blushed.
All the girls nodded their agreements.
Miroku stated, "It will be nice, now maybe she will agree to attend a party every now and then with us."
Sango mentioned grinning, "I had a feeling about you two after that little kiss I saw yesterday!"
I blushed, and Bankotsu smirked.
Sango continued smiling, "When he leaned through the window of my car yesterday just to kiss you goodbye, I knew you would be together eventually."
Inuyasha looked directly at Bankotsu and informed him seriously, "You are welcome at the house whenever."
I smiled at Inuyasha.
Bankotsu smirked and mentioned, "Thanks."
Then Bankotsu and I stood up and walked out to the tree.
We sat under the tree together.
I smiled while looking into his eyes and stated, "Thanks for being so understanding about Inuyasha and Sesshomaru..."
He smirked and replied amused, "It's rather amusing how they think I wouldn't date you without their permission."
I laughed and informed him, "They are territorial and with Sessh being head of the family and all he expects his word to be law!"
Bankotsu smirked wider and decreed seriously, "No matter what, I won't let ANYONE come between us!"
I smiled and agreed seriously, "Neither will I!"
Then I sighed heavily and holding his gaze mentioned, "Um Ban, there is one more thing you should know."
He asked curiously, "What's that babe?"
I continued seriously, "The reason that what Yuske did hurt so much, was because I had finally decided to give in to him and was gonna sleep with him...I had decided after Yash and I were done talking that since he had been so patient with me I would give him what he wanted...THAT is why I was so damn devastated by what he did!"
Bankotsu blinked and said, "Wow, I had no idea..."
I sighed heavily took a deep breath and continued, "What I am trying to say is um..I'm...still...a...virgin!"
Then while standing his self he reached over and gently pulled me to my feet.
I blushed and looked away embarrassed.
He hooked a finger under my chin and lifted my chin so I was looking into his eyes.
He looked directly in my eyes and declared seriously, "I respect that! And Know this; I won't push you into anything you aren't ready for! Nor will I never cheat on you! I can be patient Cathy! We will wait until you are ready!" his eyes dead serious.
I felt tears building up in my eyes and questioned, "You aren't disappointed in me?"
He smiled and assured softly, "No baby I'm not."
Then he stated dead seriously, "The only way you could ever disappoint me would be to allow yourself to be pressured into doing something you're not ready for!"
I began crying a little and whispered, "Thank you!"
Bankotsu gently wrapped his arms around me as he held me close.
Then he gently wiped my tears away and declared seriously, "Don't worry babe! I know you have had a hard time. I have never EVER felt this way about a woman before! I want everything to be perfect for us!" with absolute certainty in his eyes.
I cried a little more and admitted, "I have never felt like this before either! I want things to be perfect for us too!"
He slightly tightened his arms around me and captured my mouth in a hot and demanding kiss.
I kissed him back eagerly, and just as demanding.
We broke the kiss and leaned against the tree with his arms wrapped around my waist and my back on his chest.
His started nuzzling my neck and mentioned, "You smell so good. Kind of like lavender and vanilla."
I smiled and answered, "That's my shampoo."
He smiled and lightly kissed my neck.
He questioned sweetly, "So after you tutor tomorrow, have you got any plans?"
I smiled and answered, "Nope."
He suggested seriously, "How about a movie then?"
I smiled and agreed, "Sure."
He whispered, "It's a date then."
I smiled, turned around to face him and kissed his lips.
He deepened the kiss and pulled my body flush against him.
After a minute I broke the kiss and whispered, "It's a date then."
He held me a few more minutes, then we stood up off the tree and held hands.
He informed me seriously, "My brothers and I are gonna go to the diner again tonight. The food there is way better than either of us can make." with a laugh.
I smiled and replied, "Cool, so what are you gonna be having tonight then?"
He grinned and answered excitedly, "The number 5 again! That really hit the spot!"
He then said seriously, "Thanks for recommending it!"
I smiled and answered, "Anytime."
He bent close to my ear and whispered, "I love the way you feel in my arms."
I blushed and answered, "So do I!"
He brushed his lips lightly against mine, then we walked back into the cafeteria.
We rejoined Kouga and the others.
Bankotsu pulled me so that I sat in his lap, and wrapped one arm around my waist.
All of us girls chatted, while all the guys chatted.
After a few more minutes the bell rang and we all walked over to our classes.
Home ec and an angry Yuki.
We walked into class holding hands and smiling.
Mrs. Shima walked in just as the bell rang.
Mrs Shima faced the class and announced, "Today we will break into small groups of four and try baking a cake. Nothing fancy just a one layer cake."
Bankotsu, myself, Hakaku, and Yuki teamed up again.
I pulled out the mixing bowl and added the flour, eggs, and milk.
Bankotsu floured the cake pan after greasing it.
I noticed he used way to much flour and explained, "Just a light flour, otherwise the cake will come out chalky."
I washed, dried and re-floured the pan showing him the correct way to do it and smiled.
Then Hakaku used the blender to blend the ingredients together.
Then Yuki poured the batter into the pan, and put it in the oven.
Hakaku set the timer.
We all sat down and waited for the timer to go off.
Bankotsu sat right beside me.
Yuki and Hakaku sat on the other side of the table.
Yuki stood up walked over to Bankotsu and said suggestively, "I am ready whenever you are hot stuff!"
I rolled my eyes at her behavior.
Bankotsu stated evenly, "Yuki, I don't like you! Can't you understand that!?"
Yuki pouted and purred huskily, "I can change that! as she reached down and grabbed his thigh.
Bankotsu grabbed her hand, pushed her away and snapped angrily, "Leave me alone Yuki! And don't EVER touch me again!" while glaring at her.
Bankotsu then moved over closer to me, placed an arm over my shoulder and informed her sternly, "I already have a girlfriend! Now beat it!"
Yuki glared at Bankotsu then me and declared angrily, "No one EVER turns me down!"
Bankotsu stated smugly, "Well I just did! Now back off!"
Yuki glared at me and snarled angrily, "She hasn't been able to get a guy in two damned years and now she gets the ONLY guy I want!? I don't think so!"
I glared at Yuki and suggested, "There is always Heiten, you can get him!"
Yuki scoffed and snapped, "I don't want that guy!"
Bankotsu decreed dead seriously, "Well I am already taken!"
Yuki glared at me and warned, "This isn't over!"
I glared back and retorted, "Yes it is! He has flat out told you NO, now back off!"
Hakaku stood up grabbing Yuki's hand and drug her away because he could tell I was getting upset.
Bankotsu sighed heavily looking at me and asked, "What is with that girl anyways!?"
I looked into his eyes and replied evenly, "It's just like she said, NO ONE has ever turned her down before and she dosen't like being denied! She is used to get anything and everything she wants!"
He leaned over, looked me directly in the eyes and declared, "Tough shit! She is just gonna have to accept the fact that I am taken!"
Then he held my hand and continued dead seriously, "I have the best girl in the world and I don't want anyone else!"
I smiled and whispered, "That's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me."
He grinned and stated dead seriously, "I meant every word of it too!" staring me dead in the eye.
I blushed, and he reached over tucking a few stray strands of my hair behind my ear.
I smiled at him and he smiled back at me charmingly.
The timer went off and I stood up walking over to the oven and took the cake out and placed it on the cooling rack.
Bankotsu and I then did the dishes together.
Mrs. Shima walked over, sampled the cake we made and exclaimed, "Excellent job once again group B!"
Then we cut up the cake.
I didn't eat any because I had P.E. next and didn't want to have an upset tummy, but the other 3 ate it.
I laughed and Bankotsu complimented, "Man baby, you sure are a wiz in the food department!"
I laughed and said, "Thanks!"
Yuki glared at us and huffed, then rolled her eyes.
Hakaku smiled and added, "Cathy here is the best cook I know! It's one of the many reasons Kouga makes sure she stops by at least a few times a year!" happiness shinning in his eyes.
Bankotsu mentioned, "I bet!"
I laughed and stated seriously, "Kouga and Hakaku sure have hearty appetites as do Yash and Sess! I make it a point to ensure they at least eat healthy ever now and then. If I didn't cook Yash at least, would only live on ramen!"
I rolled my eyes as I said "Ramen" and Bankotsu laughed heartily.
Yuki glared and snapped angrily, "So she can cook, big fucking deal!"
Then she leaned over to me and stated smugly, "Besides we both know he will come to me when you start denying his needs, just like Yuske did!"
I started becoming really angry.
Hakaku noticed this and jumped up and drug Yuki away again.
Bankotsu could see I was getting upset again so he leaned over and whispered fiercely, "Ignore that stupid bitch! YOU are the ONLY girl I want Babe!" while gazing directly into my eyes.
I smiled, and leaned my head on his shoulder.
10 minutes later Hakaku and Yuki walked back over.
Bankotsu and I both rolled our eyes.
I suggested seriously, "Ya know Yuki, maybe if you didn't act so spoiled, you would actually find a decent guy."
Bankotsu and Hakaku both chuckled.
Yuki just glared at me.
Bankotsu looked at her and added seriously, "Not to mention way to clingy!"
I suggested evenly, "Hojo is still single, and a nice guy, maybe you should try him."
Bankotsu looked and me a minute then grinned.
I grinned back at him.
Yuki huffed and said sulkily, "He is not the one I want!"
Bankotsu held her gaze and decreed dead seriously, "Well I am already taken, by the best girl in the world! And that ISN"T going to change!"
Then just to get his point across Bankotsu, grabbed my hand on top of the table.
Yuki huffed and stormed off and sulked in a corner alone.
Hakaku shook his head, sighed, then he looked at me and Bankotsu, smiled and mentioned, "Congrats you two!
We smiled and said, "Thanks!"
I mentioned, "After work Saturday Bankotsu is gonna drive me over to visit your gramma! Is that ok with you?"
Hakaku grinned, exclaimed, "Grams is so looking forward to it!"
I smiled and agreed, "Me too!"
The bell rang and we all walked out the door.
Bankotsu and I casually walked over to the gym.
We walked over to the changing rooms and changed into our P.E. clothes and met in the gym by the wall with Kouga and Ayame.
A few minutes later the bell rang.
