Chapter 2

"Why does momma like Kikyo better? We are twins we are the same except for our eyes

and hair. Since her hair is brown and her eyes our blue. Does mommy like brown hair better than

black. Is that why she doesn't like me?" Kagome mumbled to her self as she walked alongside the

beach. She had run for a while until her legs had hurt to much to keep running so she walked

instead and that brought her to the sea. Kagome was brought out of her museings when she felt

cold water run over her bare feet, she had for gotten her shoes when she jumped off the balcony.

'Oh No! i've never been out side the gates before. I will never get back to the castle now. Ugh!' She

yelled as she tripped over what she thought was a large peice of drift wood... that was until it

spoke. "Ugh! Get off me woman, you're heavy!" "Ahh! a talking branch! oh wait your not a

branch. sorry for tripping over you." Kagome said as she looked at the "branch". It was a young

boy who looked to be about eight years old, the same age as her. The boy had long silver hair

that stopped around his lower back and golden eyes that shined in the noon sunshine that was

currently beating down on them. But the strange thing was that he had two doggy ears sitting

atop his head. "Oi watch where your going, brat, you were just walking around and i thought you

would notice me before you fell on me but i guess i was wrong- ehh! what are you doing

woman?!" The boy yelled as Kagome latched on and started to rub his ears. " Opps! sorry i can't

help it they are so cute." She said as she let go of his ears and stepped back from him. "So my

name is Kagome, what is yours?" "Mines Inuyasha, son of the great Pirate Inutashio." 'There

that sould scare her off and i can finish my nap in peace.' Inuyasha thought. "Oh wow! i am

meeting a real pirate. Pirates are so cool!" Kagome exclaimed to the speechless Inuyasha. "

Woman! Pirates are mean we steal and hurt people we aren't cool you are supposed to be afraid

of me!" "So i don't care pirates are still cool." "You know nothing woman." "My name is

Kagome. say it with me Ka-go-me." "Fine Ka-go-me. What are you doing out here anyway?"

The curious boy asked. "Uh well i kinda got in to a fight with my sister....." After she had told

him the whole story they just sat there staring at the ocean. "Hey Kagome?" "Yeah?" "Will you

bemyfriend?" "huh? what was that last part i didn't hear you. you said it to fast." "Will you be my

friend?" "Of course! Inu-chan" "Hey Hey! don't call me that." The two children played many

different games such as tag, hide and seek, and even some games they made up for a couple of

hours but it ended to quickly for them when they saw an older man with long silver hair and a

silver beard coming towards them. Once the man reached them Inuyasha reconized him. "Dad

what are you doing here aren't you supposed to be in Slanderville." " I was but somthing

happened and we have to leave now!" Inutashio said. "But dad, i thought we were going to stay

here at least a week!" "I'm sorry but we have to go i will wait for you at the ship, Oh and who is

this?" " This is my friend Kagome." "Oh Hello kagome, i am sorry but my son and i must head

off." "Its okay, it was nice meeting you mr. Inutashio sir" Kagome said as she watched Inutashio

walk away after telling Inuyasha that they would leave in ten minutes and not to be late. and

then Inuyasha spoke up. "well i guess this is goodbye then huh?" "yeah i guess so... do you

think i will see you again?" Kagome said trying to keep the tears from falling. "Defiently but i

don't know when. it could be years we might be old and wrinkly by then." "Okay then but you

have to promise me that you will become 'Inu-chan the greatest pirate in all the six seas.' And i

will promise to fullfill my goal." "umm, Kag-chan there are seven seas." " Oh right, anyway do

you promise?" "yes i promise, here i want you to take this to remember me by. Its a pirate

necklace so don't show it to anyone or you might get in to trouble, okay?" Inuyasha said as he

took a necklace from around his neck and put it on her. It was a beautiful necklace that had

rubys frameing the crossed bones of a pirate with two emeralds for eyes. Inuyasha turned to the

right and pointed behind her. " There is a path straight ahead it should take you to a castle. You

should be able to get home from there. i better good now so good bye kags-chan." "wait!"

Kagome said as she took out the ribbon that was keeping her hair up while she ran. it was her

favorite ribbon if it wasn't in her hair then it was in her pocket. "Here take this so you won't forget

me. Its not much but its my favorite so be nice to it. good bye and good luck to you." She then

turned away so that he wouldn't see the tears running down her face. He also turned the

opposite direction from her and started walking towards the village where the ship was docked. It

was then that he noticed something. "Hey! Kagome! You didn't say what your goal was!" She

turned around and smiled at him. "thats for me to know and you to find out when we meet

again." She ran into the forest before he could ask anymore questions so he continued on his

way to the ship knowing that it would be a long time before they would meet again.
