Kagome stood up as the bus stopped in front of her house. Making her way to the door she stopped. Jan wasn't opening the door for her.
“Got to wait `til I see your mom or dad. Um… There she is.” She waved at Kagome's mom through the window. “Okay, see you tomorrow!”
“You too,” Kagome said cheerfully.
She walked out of the bus and towards her door. Her mother opened the door when she got there.
“So how was your day?” Kagome's mother asked eagerly.
“Pretty good, I didn't do much, but it was cool. I met a nice guy named Miroku. He rides my bus and he told me a lot of things about the school.”
Kagome and her mother shared a few more minutes of catching up before Kagome grabbed an apple and headed to her room. She popped in `Visions,' one of her favorite CDs, and switched to her favorite song, on that CD. Kagome didn't think she could pick out a favorite song in the whole music world, there were just too many.
She crooned along with the lyrics, “My soul it screams for you, can you not here it?”
With her vast CD collection, Kagome was able to pick out a song for almost any circumstance. Right now her soul was screaming for Inuyasha. Her very existence needed him. Of course she did realize how desperate that sounded… But still, could anyone really blame her?
“Turn it down!” an angry male voice called.
“Shut up Souta!” Kagome yelled through her door. Maybe her music was a tad too loud, but what right did Souta have to tell her to turn it down? Well, there was one way to settle this.
Kagome turned off her CD player and burst through her door. She saw Souta, her thirteen-year-old brother, standing right in front of her, hands on his hips.
“Okay Souta, I challenge you to a DDR match. That's right Dance Dance Revolution!” Kagome smiled. Souta could never resist a challenge, especially when it was with one of his favorite games.
“I accept.” Souta said defiantly.
“To the living room!” Kagome walked the five feet that it took to get from her room to the living room. The older teen and younger teen pulled out their Dance Pads and set them up in front of the TV. Kagome plugged in both the Dance Pads and turned on their X-box.
They waited for the loading screens and company logos. Kagome was player one so she selected the game, and she got to pick the song. They had two of the mixes, but Kagome liked the Ultramix one better. She scrolled through the songs until she found the one she wanted, “Shiny Disco Balls.”
Both were pretty good, actually, they were a very even match. Both started out really well. Souta got up to a 35 combo before he got a good. Kagome wasn't getting as high of combos, but she was getting more perfects. They got to the chorus. Kagome stomped on the left arrow twice quickly and switched to the right. Souta did the same, but a second too late. He got a `boo'. Kagome's arms flapped wildly while Souta's stayed low at his sides. Both were beginning to sweat slightly. The rest of the song played out with a few more `boos' and a couple of `almosts.'
Finally the song was over. The two kids waited anxiously as the song finished playing and the screen changed to display the scores. Kagome held her breath. She had been practicing a lot lately, and maybe this would be the time it paid off… It was! Kagome had gotten and `A' and Souta, a `B.'
“Good game bro, but now I think I've earned the right to play my music as loud as I want.” Kagome couldn't hold back a grin as she went to her room.
She was very happy. When she was happy, her music needed to be happy. So she put in her Digi Charat CD. She picked the track “Party Night.” Sure, she didn't understand a word of what they were saying, well, she understood the English words, but it was still fun to listen to. “Hold me baby odorouyo Sunday. Touch me baby kibun wa Holiday”
She thought about her idea that she had gotten on the bus. Inuyasha liked Japanese stuff. Kagome quickly pulled out a piece of lined paper. She wrote the Kanji for the numbers one through ten and made a key that showed what each number was. At the bottom she wrote in English “Number Drills.” For number one she wrote down seven carefully chosen numbers. For the rest she just put random numbers together.
The clock next to her bed glowed 6:17 brightly. Her dad had already gotten home and disappeared into his office. Kagome knew it was time to start her chores. There were several duties she had. There were the dishes, the bathroom (bleg!), picking up the living room, and helping her mom in the sewing room whenever. It wasn't too bad; some kids had it way worse. But still, sometimes it would be nice if she didn't have any chores.
Within an hour and a half she was done with all her chores. She then plopped down in front of the TV to watch her favorite channel `Fuse.' On right now was the F-list, Kagome loved this show. It had a theme and people voted for their favorite video in that theme. Tonight's show was animation nation, featuring videos that were done in some form of animation. She watched it for half an hour, and then decided it was time to start getting ready for bed.
Since she was younger Kagome had always taken long showers. So she had to start earlier in the night. She walked into the now clean bathroom and locked the door. Taking off her clothes she started running the water, to warm it up. Showers were so nice; they gave her a chance to think about everything that had happened during the day. When the water was nice and hot Kagome pulled the plug that switched it to the shower rather than the faucet.
Getting into the shower, Kagome promptly sat on the floor of the tub. She let the warm water run through her hair and down her body. Her mind began to wander away from just being in the shower, and she let it.
`Today had been a good day. I met a really hot guy, befriended a pretty cute boy, and calmed a kind of weird boy. The bus ride was interesting. PE was even more interesting. Rotation groups were boring, but lunch was nice. So was math. Although, Social Skills was a little embarrassing. Oh well.'
Kagome continued to think about her day and how she could have made it better. Somehow her musings turned to day dreams, about a certain boy. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad, but something about lying on the floor, being naked, and the mere fact that Inuyasha was so freaking hot contributed to Kagome's rather risqué fantasy.
After about forty-five minutes when the water was starting to lose some of its intensity, Kagome knew it was time to get out. She wrapped a towel about herself and picked up her clothes. He room was right down the hall from the bathroom. She entered her room and shut the curtains. As a child she had always forgotten that part of coming out of the shower. By now though, she remembered it.
She put on a pair of dog paw print pajamas. They were cute. Not quite Kagome's style, but no one would see her in these. She grabbed her diary that she had started keeping since she was at `the place.' She recapped her day, than added a bit about how infatuated she was with Inuyasha. `I don't even know if he has a girl friend! How I hope he doesn't. Eventually I'd like to be with him. That would fucking blow my mind!'
She put down her diary and hit the light. She sank under her covers and closed her eyes. Today had been a good day. Maybe tomorrow will be even better. With that though, she was asleep.

Bunnie: Thanks to star555555528 for reading over my chapters! Everyone, she's why my story doesn't look dorky. Even though I can't upload the changes right… I'm sure eventually it'll work out.
Kagome: Eeee! You did a shower scene!?!?
Bunnie: But I wasn't descriptive… So it's fine.
Inuyasha: Why wasn't I involved in this shower scene?
Kagome: Perv!
Bunnie: Read and review please!
