(a/n I hope you enjoy this. The idea has been in my mind for a while now. Got tired of no making a fanfic with the idea so I made it my own way. Oh I don't own Inuyasha only Rumiko Takahasi does and we should all bow down to her greatness.)

(Feudal Era Japan)
In the distance a village could be seen, a village that looked like it was on the brink of disaster. The village shrine was under attack. The whole shrine was up in flames, people could be heard screaming. It was absolute chaos. A giant boom was heard.

“HERE SHE COMES!”

At that moment a young girl who looked no older then 18 jumped from the now destroyed shrine. She had long raven hair with a hint of blue that fell to the small of her back. Eyes blue like the sky which held a feral blood lust. She wore a green short kimono that reached the middle of her slightly tanned thighs. The upper half of the green kimono fit her slim figure but with sleeves that billowed out to flare around her arms, ending just in the middle of her hand.
Looking at her she would look like a normal girl but upon closer inspection one would notice the small black dog ears that protruded from the mane of bluish black hair. Her hands held razor sharp claws and in her mouth were small but deadly fangs. She jumped from tree to tree running from the burning shrine behind her. In her hand could be seen a shiny purple jewel.

“Sesshomaru I'm coming

She had no idea where she was running she just had to get away. Away from the man that had hurt her. Away from the hurt that clutched her soul. She bounded at inhuman speeds dodging tree branches. Just as she was leaping off a branch

“KAGOME!”

A sword twisted through the air and struck Kagome right in the heart. The small jewel flew out of her hand and she watched it with shocked eyes and it fell softly on to the grass not three feet in front of her. She tried to reach for it but was pinned. The sword and caught her against a huge tree and not even Kagome could fight it. Lifting her blue orbs from the jewel she met eyes with the man that had called her name and sealed her fate. A man no older then 20 stood on the shrine steps glaring at the women he through the sword at. His golden eyes pierced her soul just like the sword pierced her heart. His silver hair blew in the breeze bringing her his warm scent but with that she smelled his blood. Looking closer she noticed the blood flowing from his stomach.

“Sesshomaru…I thought…how could you?” Kagome whispered. That was the last thing she saw as the world blacked out around her.

The man that was standing at the entrance to the shrine wobbled over to the still body of the women pinned to the tree. Slowly he leaned down and picked up the jewel on the floor. In it swirled a purple mist that seemed to grow darker at the mans touch. Looking back up at the women his golden eyes showed so much sadness. Slowly he reached out and touched the feet that were handing in front of him. The skin was warm underneath his cold hands.

“Even now I can not stop my love for you Kagome. I will follow you in death and there we can be together.”

Tighten his hold on the jewel he let the fatigue that he had pushed aside take him and he fell. In the background a young girl the age of 7 came running up to the fallen man her left eye was bandaged but blood could be seen staining the white fabric. Her little kimono was ripped and dirty.

“ONII-CHAN!” The little girl ran up to Sesshomaru grabbed a hold of his blood soaked Kimono.

“Kaeda…”Sesshomaru could barely get it out but it had to be said. “ Kaeda I am dying… when I die burn my body…and the shikon jewel with it.”

“Sesshomaru you won't die.” The little girl had tears slipping down her face, bravely holding on for the sake of her brother.
“Promise me this Kaeda.” Sesshomaru eyes were beginning to close but he had to make sure that she promised.
“I Promise.” Kaeda closed her eyes as she felt the life force leave her brother. “Goodbye Sesshomaru”

(Modern Day Japan)

“INUYASHA WAKE UP!”

With a snap a boy around 18 years old woke up. He groaned getting out of bed and slumped getting out of his room to go to the bathroom. His eyes were closed and he was wobbling back and forth hitting the wall of the hall way trying to get to his destination. By time he got to the bathroom most of the sleepiness had washed away. Walking up to the mirror he glanced up at the mirror.

Now Inuyasha was what people like to say a random orange on an apple tree. (a/n work with here okay) While his mother had brown hair and brown eyes he on the other had was totally different. He had silver hair that reached all the way down to his waist. (at the dislike of his mother) and golden eyes that radiated in the sun. Even with his different looks still people seemed to like him. At school he had hundreds of girls trying to get hen to go out on a date. But he never met any one that interested him. They were always interested in his looks and never about who he really was. Shaking those thoughts from his mind he went on to take his shower and get ready for another boring day at school.

Half an hour later Inuyasha emerged from his room sporting the usual uniform of a male high school senior. Simple black pants with a simple black shirt and black shoes. Simple.
With a sigh Inuyasha headed down stairs to the wonderful aroma of his mothers cooking. At his arrival his family turned to him with big smiles.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY”

Inuyasha looked at them like they were all crazy and then realized. “Hey it is my birthday how the hell did I forget. Something must be wrong with me.'

“About time you realized it. You know they sat admitting it is the first step towards recovery.” The little boy smirked

“Souta…” Inuyasha growled trying to reframe from catching his younger brother and beating him to bloody pulp.

“Now now you too calm down. Let's not have another fight this morning. Souta be nice to your brother. It's not everyday you turn 18.” Scolded Inuyasha mother gently. She had long brown hair and deep brown eyes. But she looked nothing like Inuyasha.

“Yeah Souta, where are your manners?” Smirked Inuyasha taking a seat at the table.

“Up your ass and around the corner…” Mumbled Souta. Luckily his mother didn't hear that but Inuyasha did and he did not look too pleased in fact he looked like he would be regretting ever had saying that with the stare he was being thrown.

“Yes it is not everyday that a boy crosses over to becoming a man.' Inuyasha grandfather said sagely. He was a very old man by appearance but he had the spirit of someone still in their prime.

“Yeah right that's what you told me when you wanted me to help you move the stuff from the storage shed. I was thirteen gramps!” yelled an annoyed Inuyasha.

“That maybe so but you felt good about it didn't you and besides now that you really are a man you can help me move…”

“Forget it.” Gramps slunk in his chair.

“So close”

“Hey gramps I could help you more than Inuyasha ever could.” Souta beamed at the chance to one up his older brother.

Gramps threw him a sidelong glace. “How old are you again?”

“Gramps I'm twelve” sweat dropped Souta.

“Ye are not a man yet. You are not ready to face the trials.”

“…” Souta sulked “One day Inuyasha you will see…”

“Any way thanks for the meal mom but I gotta be off or else im gonna be late.” Inuyasha hopped from his seat kissed his mother on the cheek, waved to his grandfather and knocked Souta on the back of the head. Earning him an indignant cry. “See ya.”

Inuyasha left the house and crossed the shrine that belonged to his family. The Takahasi shrine. It was said to be hundreds of year's old, dating back to the feudal era. There was a legend behind the shrine. A legend his grand father had burned in to Inuyasha's mind. The legend of the sacred jewel. The Shikon no tama. It was a jewel the was said to give a person unbelievable powers. Legend says that the protector of the jewel was a very strong warrior monk but he hide died at the hands of a demon. And the jewel was burned with his body never to be seen again.

Inuyasha on his way to school stopped by the Gosinbuku, the sacred tree. For some reason when ever he was under this tree he felt as if someone was calling him. Looking up in to the branches he lost himself. He didn't know how much time has passed but he was startled out of his day dreaming by a sound coming from a near by shed. Turning his head he saw Buyo his mothers cat walk around the shed that held the ancient well. Knowing that Buyo wasn't supposed to be out side of the house he went after the cat. Just as Inuyasha began to move the cat walked in to the crack in the door and entered the shed.

“Stupid fucking cat.” Grumbled Inuyasha He trudged up the shed and tried to open the door. It didn't move. Sighing at his fate he heaved as hard as he could as still nothing. Cursing under his breathe he was about to just let the cat go when he heard the cat screech inside. Now that worried him. Knowing how upset his mother would be any thing ever happened to the overweight cat he grabbed the handle of the shed and planting his feet in the ground. He pulled with all of his might.

“Stupid Fucking cat.” With a load groan the old doors moved on its rusted rails and slowly opened. Once there was a crack large enough for him to fit in to he went inside.

The place was unbelievably dusty. There had to at least be a foot of dust on the every surface. But he didn't come in there to do health inspections he was looking for that dumb stupid cat that his mother loved so much. “Buyo” Inuyasha called out quietly. He didn't know why but he felt that he couldn't talk loud in here. And that was fucking bothering the shit out of him.

I swear when I find this cat I'm going to kill then bring it back to life just to kill it again
Inuyasha slowly walked down the steps that led to the well in the middle of the floor. He leaned over and looked inside wondering if Buyo had fallen in.

“If he did fall in you can forget about me getting it back out.” Just as he thought that he heard a noise behind him. Inuyasha spun around so fast he thought he was going to get whip lash. There on the top of the steps was his lovable little brother. Great.

“What the hell are you doing in hear. Finally going to do us a favor and end it all.” Souta grinned.

Inuyasha looked at him with a raised eyebrow “Did someone ever tell you you were adopted.”

“Oh wow so original.”

“Your mother……..damn that's my mother too.”

“You need help”

“Keh whatever just help me look for the fat cat then I can beat you later. Then you can go cry to mom. No wonder gramps say you weren't a man.” Smirked Inuyasha.

“Fuck you.”

“Love you too.” Out of the corner of his eye she saw his prey walking towards the corner. “There you are you little…”

Inuyasha never got a chance to finish his sentence because all of a sudden a bright blue light engulfed the small shack. Quickly turning around he saw that the glow was coming from the well. Giving Souta a look that said `stay there' Inuyasha walked up to the well to check it out. He leaned over the edge and all he saw was blue. The light literally blinded him. He leaned back and rubbed his eyes to stop the spots that were dancing in front of him. All of a sudden he heard Souta scream then an instant later he felt two hands grab him and pull him in the well. The last thing he was through the blue glow was Souta scared face.

Inuyasha turned around to what it was that was holding him and what he saw scared the shit out of him. (not that he would ever admit it) It was a woman snake thing. It had a long body that looked like a snake, but the top of its body was the body of a woman only she had six arms and huge black eyes. Baring her teeth at him he realized that she didn't have teeth but a complete row of huge fangs.

“What the hell are you?” Inuyasha muttered under his breathe.

“Nothing important. Jusssssst your death!” The thing leaped at him with its huge fangs. Out of reaction he didn't even know he had Inuyasha balled up his fist and slammed it in to the face of the…thing. It dislodged from Inuyasha seething in outrage. Once it gained its countenance it started for Inuyasha again.

“You fool! Give me the ssshikon no tama!” At the last second Inuyasha was able to dodge the thing and kicked it with the strength he didn't know he had. The thing round backward and went away. Inuyasha had a feeling that wouldn't be the last time they met though.

Inuyasha was finally able to get a hold of his surroundings and realized he was floating what looked to be an endless chasm. He was just floating there when he spotted a bright light up ahead of him and it seemed to be growing bigger before he knew the bright light had once again engulfed him and he had to shield his eyes to protect them. Gently he felt the ground come up and meet him. but something was off even with his eyes still closed Inuyasha new something was off. The well didn't smell the same. It wasn't musky anymore. It smelled more of plats now then mold. Slowly opening his eyes Inuyasha looked up and saw the bright blue sky and he know now with out a doubt hat something really wasn't right.

Standing up Inuyasha looked for something that could help him get out of the well that way he could better understand what was going on. Luckily for him there was a vine growing up out of the well. Grabbing it he tested his footing and stared to climb out of the well.

When he finally reached the top he could not believe his eyes before him stood a forest not the shrine he remembered. All around him were trees. “I'm defiantly not in Tokyo anymore.” Inuyasha had no idea what to do here he was in some place he never been before stuck in a forest he didn't know how to get out of. Never mind he didn't know how he got there in the first place!

Knowing he was resigned to his fate he looked all around really closely and noticed to the west a small what looked to be model of an ancient village. From here he could see rice paddies and the huts that smoke was rising from. Thinking that was his best bet he stared walking in that direction hoping someone there might be able to help him.

“This is fucking ridiculous I have no idea where I'm going, where I am and how I got here…And I could have sworn I passed that tree already!” Huffing with annoyance Inuyasha decided to sit down and rest for a while. He'd been walking for what felt to be forever and he had a strange feeling he was lost. Hitting his head on the tree he was leaning up against he sighed a looked up at the sky. “Happy birthday Inuyasha. Keh”

Deciding he needed to get up and start walking again when something green from the corner of his eyes caught his attention. Looking closely he was shocked to find it was someone pinned to a tree. Cautiously walking up to the tree across the clearing he noticed that it was a girl pinned up against the tree by a sword.

“Is she dead?” Looking closely at the tree he noticed that this was the very tree that he passed everyday to go school. This was the sacred tree, but last time he check there was no dead girl pinned to it. Now paying more attention to the girl he was surprised to see that the point where the sword pinned the girl showed no signs of blood.

Quickly climbing the roots to see if she really was dead he touched her neck to see if she had a pulse but whipped his hand away when he found out her skin was warm. “…and soft. Wait what did I just think? Soft I must have lost my mind I don't even know this girl. And she's not even conscious.”

Taking in the girls features more he saw how beautiful she was. Her skin was lightly tanned. Her hair was interesting black that shone blue in the sun it was silky to the touch as it whipped across his face in the wind. Her face was perfect a heart shaped face with pouting lips and a small button nose. As his gaze traveled down he couldn't help but notice her perfect body as well. Round pert breast that were the perfect size a coke-cola shaped body with long legs.

Noticing that he was checking out an unconscious girl he brought his eyes back up to her face with a light stain of red on his cheeks. “I really need to get out more. Here I am ogling the body of some almost dead girl. Well I think she'd dead but her skin is still warm. I don't see how she could live though she's got a sword though the heart for crying out loud.”

At this point he noticed that something that threw him for a loop. On the top of the girls head, sitting innocently were two small dog ears. “What the hell? Are those real?” With out even thinking about what he was doing his hands found there way to her ears. Softly almost afraid she would wake up he started to rub gently on her ears. “Wow they really are real. Who is this girl?” Softly he began to hear a soft rumbling. At first he thought it was his stomach but it wasn't coming from him it was coming from her.

“Oh my god she's purring” He whispered. “I guess she is alive.”

“YOU BACK AWAY FROM HER!” Inuyasha turned around suddenly and saw what had to a dozen men standing there point pitch forks at him.

“Whoa! Calm I wasn't doing anything to her!” He yelled.

An old lady came forth and gave Inuyasha a good look in the eyes. She was a small lady that would barely reach up to his shoulders. She had a little of a hunched back and had a sword guard covering one of her eyes. Upon looking at Inuyasha her other eyes widened in amazement. She walked right up to him and Inuyasha leaned back in to the girl pinned to the tree.

“Sesshomaru” The women asked in a small voice.

“Who's Sesshomaru?” Inuyasha answered back.

The old woman seemed to snap out of her day dream and looked at the boy a little more closely. “I'm sorry forgive me ye look so much of some who dies so long a go for a second I thought ye were a ghost. But looking at ye closely there is difference in appearance. Ye still look so much like him. My name is Kaeda. I am the priestess of this village. I felt your aura and thought ye were a demon. Now come away from there and we will take ye back to the village. Have no fear of us. We must learn to be careful in these dangerous times.”

Inuyasha did not feel anything bad about the old lady and plus with the gang of scared men with pitch forks he decided to go along. With one last look at the pinned girl he followed the old lady to the village.

(In Kaeda`s hut)
“Now young man would ye like some time?”

“No but you can tell me where the hell I am? And why do all of these people seem to think they live in feudal Japan?” yelled Inuyasha. He had had enough of all this he was tired and he still had no idea where he was.

“Fine. Ye are in the village in the Western lands on the edge of the forest of Kagome.”

“What? Western Lands, Forest of Kagome? What the hell are you talking about?” He was confused as all hell.

“Ye have never heard of the western lands? Where may I ask are ye from?” Kaeda raised an eyebrow.

“I'm from Tokyo.” Maybe he was farther from home then he realized.

“Toki-yo? I have never heard of this place before. And there are not many things in this world that I don not know.”

“Hey! Are you calling me a liar?!”

“No maybe if ye told me how ye got here. I can get some better knowledge of where your from.”

Inuyasha then proceeded to the Kaeda about how he had arrived here. The old woman that the most shocked look on her face when he said he came through the well.

“Inuyasha maybe ye are from this place but not from this time. Many legends have circled that well. It would not surprise me if ye were from another time. This could also explain why ye look like my long passed older brother. Tell me Inuyasha have you ever heard of the Shikon no tama?”

“Yes I know that it is a jewel that can grant wishes. What does that have to do with me?” He just wanted answers already.

“Let me tell ye the tale which ye probably don't know. Fifty years I had a n older brother named Sesshomaru. He was a warrior monk and the strongest there ever was. One day a group of demon slayers....'

“Demons!!” yelled Inuyasha.

“Yes for demons still roam these lands. Let me continue (ignoring Inuyasha's `Keh') These demon slayers came to out village to give my brother the shikon jewel to protect from any demon that might get it's hands on it. My brother agreed and from that point on he was it's protector and it seemed like every day demons would be drawn to the power of the jewel and would try to kill him enable to posses it. None of them ever succeeded.

I don't know how my brother met her but he came in contact with the girl Kagome. The one who this forest is named after. She wanted to have the jewel to become more powerful but for some reason never attacked my brother. She would follow him around and after a while they got close to one another. I do not know what it was they planned to do with the jewel but something went wrong. Kagome attacked my brother unguarded and gave him a fatal wound. Kagome then came to this shrine and burnt it to the ground to get the Shikon inside. My brother used the last of his power to seal Kagome to the sacred tree, not killing her but putting her in suspension. Shortly after my brother died but before he made me promise to burn the jewel with his body. I believe that since you have such a resemblance to my brother and that also share his same aura that you maybe his reincarnation.”

“Whoa wait a minute that girl that I saw pinned to the tree that's Kagome. And you think that I am your brother's reincarnation?” Inuyasha was incredulous.

“Yes is that so unbelievable?” Kaeda asked innocently.

“Unbelievable! I'll tell you what's unbelievable!” Inuyasha never got a chance to because off in the distance there was a giant boom and the sounds of people screaming could be heard everywhere.

“Kaeda there is a demon attacking the village!” A young villager came running in to the hut.

“Touko get everyone ready!” Kaeda yelled standing up.

Just as the words left her mouth did the demon roar “WHERE IS IT? WHERE IS THE SHIKON JEWEL?”

Kaeda looked over at Inuyasha “Ye have it with ye?!”

“I don't know what it's talking about. But it seems to want me I'll distract it from the village so no one gets hurt!” With that Inuyasha ran off toward the forest. “Come on ya stupid demon I got what you want!”

The snake demon from before yelled as it chased after the man that was glowing with the aura of the shikon.

Inuyasha kept running he didn't know where he was running or what he was going to do when he stopped. But he felt that if he kept running this way then maybe something would happen. He burst out in the familiar clearing and his eyes were drawn to the girl now named Kagome. The wind was whipping the wind around her face and she looked so beautiful at that moment.

His moment was ruined by the screech of the demon chasing him. He continued to run but a root caught his foot and he fell right in front of the sacred tree. Just as he was about to get he felt a heart beat that was not his own. It seemed to vibrate throughout the whole clearing. The trees seemed to become more alive like it was rejoicing ant the return of it's master. The heart beat came again and again and it seemed to speed up. The demon at this point had came in to the clearing but stopped because even it's instincts were telling it to run.
Inuyasha slowly looked up and at the Kagome girl as the heart beat accelerated there seemed to be a vibration coming from her. “That heart beat it's coming from her!” Slowly the heart beat upon reaching it's highest speed stopped and there was a great pause the whole forest seemed to have gone quite. Then the girl's eyes shot open. The cerulean blue instantly captured Inuyasha and would not let him go.

Those blue eyes stared at him for a second then they glared ice shards at him.

“Sesshomaru”

Yeah baby! It is about to go down. I know I switched a couple of the characters but I had to if I wanted the story to work. Plus I know I made some of the characters OOC like Souta and Sesshomaru. Well I hope you enjoy this first chapter to this. REVIEW!!!
