A/n:Hee. I'm happy everyone's enjoying it ^-^.By the way, chapter thirty, WOW! I'm amazed.And, sorry if this chapter kinda sucks. I just had to shove it out, before I forgot everything I meant to say.
Tempest Flame: :D
Lady Wolf: Hmmm, they're not demons, actually. They're human. But Sess does know more than he lets on. "Behind my eyes there's a world that holds my soul in it's hands. I'm my own real truth and the rain I see there is more of my tears...that comes from my fears and pain. To you I have night fears of a dream, to me I do not dream...for ask yourself. Can dreams hurt you this why? My body now bears a sign..."Beautiful, and absolutely brilliant. You apparently write good poetry. Do you want a site that has a bunch of mine? None of it's as good as I used to write it, but I like it. Just let me know if you do. Thank you for sharing.
Todavialoca: Lol. Thank you very much. What does your name mean? All live crazy? I'm probably wrong, but it's a guess >_>…
Seiai-chan: I'm happy it helped you remember. It's hard to sometimes. I had to go back and reread my entire story a few times before.
Yashamaru1: It was Kagome dreaming ^_^. And remembering.
Inukaggrrl: Thank you! There's definitely plenty of chapters left. *heart heart*
Crystal2887: I wanted to say thank you. You're completely right. And it was probably an author's note from quite some time ago. About three months ago I left him. He wasn't particularly cruel, or anything… It just didn't work. I did stupid things often, and mostly it was just we didn't understand each other. But I also know what you mean, saying you love him with all your heart… My ex, my first real love… after we broke up, was extremely and intentionally cruel to me. His reasoning behind it made sense-he tried to make me hate him. But I simply couldn't, because of the same reason you said. I loved him, with all my heart. And I always will hold him very special to me. As far as Kagome being `perfect', I have the episode for you to see. Episode 127 “The Darkness in Kagome's Heart”. There are times when her bitterrness comes out, i.e. once she said “I wish Kikyo would just die!” That was one of the earlier episodes, when she and Inuyasha argued and she first realized she loved him. I just wanted you to know, so it wasn't so much like “Ack, she's perfect!” Because in the later episodes, there are times she's obviously fed up with him. Mostly in episodes 150-167. And yeah, Inuyasha's a dumbass. But I truly respect Kagome's character, and I really respect you for bringing me such insight. Thank you.

Chapter XXX: The Human
There was fire everywhere. Kagome stood alone beside her little brother, who she was protecting with her life. Nothing she could do would stop this madness. The brutal slaughtering of people, who were killing one another mindlessly. She knew it didn't make sense. But… all she could do was run endlessly through the masses, and find someone, anyone she cared for.
But no matter how far or how long she ran, she just couldn't find anyone…
And before her eyes, she watched as she lost everything.
Everything in flames.
This is insanity… why would… they do this to one another?
All she could really remember was that she found her father, and he spoke to her…
He said that tragedy ad pain was a part of a human mind. But it was only through self worth and value… that anything could be achieved.
That your reality blended into actual material reality, creating a sense of falseness in a person.
You had to separate the two, and accept though the person in your mind is you, the person in another human being's mind is also you. And there are numeral consecutive yous, and you must draw them all together to make one…
To realize that there is always just you.

“…that… is what I dreamt of,” Kagome spoke softly to Sango, who had woken up only a short while ago. They had found themselves alone in Inuyasha's house. The front door had been locked, and though Inuyasha's car was in the driveway… him and Miroku had been nowhere to be found. So, Kagome figured she'd try and open up to Sango the best way she could, and had been telling her everything she could choke out without feeling too ashamed or crazy.
But Sango just drew everything in as if it all made too much sense.
And Kagome respected her for it, and felt closer than she had ever felt to Sango just for that…
“…What could that possibly mean?”
Kagome simply shook her head, “…I'm not sure… perhaps to remind me.”
Sango tilted her head in confusion, drawing her knees up to her chest and took a tentative sip of her soda., “…of what?”
Kagome simply shrugged, leaning back against the couch with a frustrated sigh, “…that in the end, no matter what, we're human first.”

Inuyasha leaned his head against the wall of the alleyway, banging against it with a closed fist.
Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!
Sliding down the wall helplessly, Inuyasha crouched over helplessly and quivered. His muscles tensed, tightening around his body and causing fire to build up in them.
Damn it… damn it…
He didn't understand why this was happening.
He didn't know how to stop it.
Stop the hurting, stop the pain, stop the confusion, stop the loneliness, stop it all…
Hunching over further, he let out a small gasp, just the barest hint of the turmoil that laid beneath the surface.
…I'm so fucking stupid…
Leaning forward, ebony locks slowly fell over his shoulder, blocking out the world before him.
…Shutting his golden eyes tightly against the torrent, he ground his teeth together in his best effort to keep it inside…
And though he tried, nothing could stop the inevitable flow of warm tears that spent themselves down his pale cheeks…

Miroku felt his feet pound against the pavement, the muscles in his legs burning from the fact he hadn't stopped power walking for nearly the last two hours straight.
This is insane. This makes too much sense and no sense at all. This is unreal, this is fake, this is all a nightmare, I can't…
Finally, he stopped in his tracks.
It was an impulse, a need, a thought that struck him. The thought he had been speaking all along.
Lowering his head to stare at his beat up boots, Miroku made mental note of every scuff mark, every dirty spot upon them. Anything to focus his attention elsewhere… but he could not ignore one fact.
He felt like something stuck to the bottom of those worn shoes.
…I have to… do this… For Sango…
He had no recollection of how long he stood there. But perhaps it didn't matter. For he knew it was time to face it. He'd been gone long enough.
Slowly, he watched as his feet changed direction…
And he began the long trek back home.
To Sango…
~~~*~~~
Sango laid down on her back, looking absently at the ceiling.
“You know what I thought of, Kagome?”
Kagome looked at her friend curiously, silently waiting for her to speak.
“Maybe… all it meant…was that we have to find value in one another, to ease our pain, so we know we're not alone.”
Nodding slowly, Kagome seemed to mull over it…
Though, it's so hard not to feel alone…
“That… as humans, and humans first, whatever that means… that how we feel, what we say, how we act… that's what makes us up as who we are. That others also create who we are, help shape our realities. And as humans, we need the contact. We crave it. We survive from it. We must be loved to live.”
And Kagome found she had nothing to say to this…
“But… we can't see… who we are, until others show us. We will not have a shape, a sense of reality until borders are drawn. And those boundaries give us comfort, so we are not floating aimlessly… Our goals, what we want, what we wish for, what we need… All of this, makes us human.”
Smiling quietly, Kagome nodded at Sango, speaking ever so softly.
“That makes sense.”
