Kyoko woke up late the next morning. She moaned as she opened her eyes and stretched out the knots out of her muscles. She looked at the clock. It was one thirty in the afternoon.

 

`Damn, it's that late?' she thought as she slinked out of bed. She looked in the mirror. Bed hair. You just have to love that morning hairdo or afternoon in this case.

 

She went to her bathroom and took a shower. She combed out her damp her and put it up in a ponytail. Then, she brushed her teeth and washed her face. She put on denim, knee-length skirt and a dark blue tank top. On her feet, she wore white flip-flops.

 

Kyoko walked out of her room and went down the stairs. She decided to go to the library to look up information on InuYasha since Yumi and Souta told her that he was in legend and history books. Maybe the books would also have information on the rest of his comrades. Anything is possible.

 

Before she left the house, she called a taxi to take her there. It arrived in five minutes and he drove over to the library. She was watching the scenery from the window. Looking back in Kagome's memories, a lot of things changed. She sort of wished that she could have existed in that time period, instead of this one. It seemed to be more interesting.

 

The taxi driver dropped her off and she paid him before she took off. Kyoko was getting really excited. She is going to lookup the legendary InuYasha, Protector of the Shikon no Tama, until it went into her hands. But he protected it for almost over five hundred years!

 

Kyoko raced into the library and went straight towards the fiction section. She started to scan over the titles of the books that were being displayed for legends.

 

`I need to look for the book of the Warring States era on legends, where could it be?' she was thinking. She was starting to get agitated; she finally found it. She started to jump up and down and squealing. The people in the library were shushing her. Kyoko whispered an apology.

 

She walked to an empty table and opened to the index. She was looking for the Shikon no Tama and anything else related to the topic. When she found it, she smiled and went to the page.

 

On the page it read: “The Shikon no Tama Legend.” Kyoko scanned to see who wrote it. Her eyes bulged when it said that Kaede wrote it.

 

“Get the fuck out!” she whispered and started to read it:

 

*~*The Shikon no Tama was formed when Midoriko was battling demons for seven days and nights. Inside the Jewel, the battle continues. The Shikon no Tama was passed down to people who have the power to control it. Such as, keeping evil hands from ever touching it.

The last protector was the priestess, Kikyo. She had spiritual powers and protected it day and night with the help of villagers.

 

One day, she met a hanyou named InuYasha and fell in love, well, unrequited love to be exact. InuYasha helped Kikyo, but he really wanted the Jewel to become a full-fledged demon, at first.

 

While taking a stroll, Kikyo said that she could bring the Jewel so he can become human. InuYasha said that he will be there, but they never expected what will become between them.

 

A hanyou named Naraku disguised himself as Kikyo and InuYasha. He made them loathe each other, thinking that they betrayed one another. He attacked Kikyo, making her bleed heavily. He attempted to attack InuYasha, but only nicked him. When InuYasha heard him say in Kikyo's voice, “Die InuYasha,” he was confused, but angry.

 

He raided the village where the Jewel was being kept and stole it. When he thought everything was going well, Kikyo pinned him into a tree with an arrow, with the last of her strength. She didn't have the heart to kill him. She put him under an everlasting sleep. She died soon after.

 

Fifty years later, a girl named Kagome from another time arrived at the Feudal Era. She had no idea that she was the reincarnation of Kikyo. She was attacked by a demon named Mistress Centipede, freed InuYasha from the spell, and shattered the Jewel when she was trying to kill a crow demon. The fragments were sent all over the country and they had to go on a quest together to find them and make the Shikon no Tama whole again. During the quest, they made friends and helped villagers.

 

Sadly, Kagome attempted suicide and never finished the journey. InuYasha completed the Jewel and is now protecting the Jewel and probably forever until the reincarnation of Kagome is alive.*~*

 

Kyoko closed the book. Well, she is the reincarnation of Kagome and Kikyo since Kagome was the reincarnation of Kikyo. But has she found the information she needed?

 

Kyoko leaned back in her chair and started drumming her fingers on the table. When she didn't think of anything, she put the book back where it was and exited out of the library. She then looked at Mount Fuji. Somehow, she felt a slight tug when she was looking at it.

 

`Something is telling me that I should go there. Maybe I should,' she thought. She called for another taxi and asked the driver to take her there.
