Kyoko looked at her brother. He seemed darker and more powerful. To tell the truth, she was scared as fuck. From her previous lives, she never remembered Naraku this powerful. She knew that Kagome could never have defeated him alone. Yet, here she is, alone. Even though there was Kirara, the cat demon was preoccupied right now.
`Deep breaths Kyoko, deep breaths,' she kept telling herself. This wasn't as scary as trying to beat her previous life and the evil InuYasha, but actually, it was far scarier.
“What's wrong little sister? Are you scared that you might shit your pants?” Jiro taunted.
The sinister aura almost knocked the air out of her as he slowly floated towards her. It was very overwhelming and she was struggling to stay on her feet.
`Courage Kyoko, you have courage and strength,' said a voice in her head. That encouragement lighted a fire in her that she never knew there was.
“I am not scared. I never will be, I will beat your ass until there's nothing left!” she told him.
She whipped out an arrow. Her purity powers flowed throughout the arrow and pulled it back on the bow. Kyoko released it and the arrow flew to him. Jiro lifted a hand and a small, dark shield appeared. The arrow disintegrated.
Kyoko sweat dropped. How can he do that? How can she destroy him now? Isn't light supposed to always overcome the dark? One word came to her mind…shit.
Jiro laughed. “What's wrong Kyoko, giving up hope? Finally realizing that you can't defeat me?”
With a wave of a hand, a shadowy force threw Kyoko into the air. With another wave of a hand, she was thrown hard into the ground, creating a crater.
“So, ugh, this is how InuYasha felt when he gets `sat',” she murmured to herself as she tried to breathe.
Every bone and fiber in her body was on fire. Every movement she made sent an explosion of pain throughout her body. There were bruises decorating her arms, legs, face, and anything else you can think of.
Her eyes went to the sky and saw that Kirara was starting to get exhausted fighting off the poisonous insects. Kyoko can see fresh and dried crimson all over the cat demon.
“I must, get up. I must win,” she told herself. Kyoko tried to get up and tried to ignore the ache. She would not die, that was a promise.
“What? You want to go another round? That's fine by me, I can do this all day and night!” said Jiro.
He was raising his hand when he saw her walking to him. She was limping very visibly. She was holding her left arm since it was broken. Her eyes were drooping, but still held, what was it? Hope? Courage?
“How can a little girl think she can win since she is all torn up?” he said to himself. This question hung in the air as he saw her limping less and less. What the hell is going on?
Kyoko could feel her body healing as she was walking to her brother. Her left arm felt better and her battered body felt whole. She could feel feather kisses all over her face. She closed her eyes and stopped; her unseen alliances? Yes, she knew who they were.
Jiro could see that she stopped. Her posture was determination and willful. Her could see her hand grabbing for an arrow from her back and the other hand raising her bow.
“You think you can do that again? Remember what happened a few minutes ago? I can crush your spiritual arrow! They are so weak,” he laughed.
He was still laughing when she said, “Yes, I am willing to do it again, but you should know something, I have alliances that can help me.”
His laughter died when he saw her raising an arrow with her bow and pulling it back. The light was stronger than before.
Jiro looked at her left and saw Kikyo standing, glaring at him with those eyes as Onigumo once loved. He looked at her right and saw Kagome standing there with a hand on her shoulder. Behind Kyoko was Midoriko with open arms. Surrounding them were Kaede, Shippo, Miroku, InuYasha, and Sango. They were all looking him with hateful stares.
“Prepare yourself!” InuYasha yelled as Kyoko released the arrow and it whistled at him.
“No!” he cried as he pulled his shield up, but when it did, it shattered. The arrow then pierced into his heart. Jiro screeched in pain. Kyoko cringed at the sound since it was high-pitched and because it was her brother wailing in pain.
The spirits of the past faded away since they did their job and Kyoko was standing alone, staring at where her brother once was. The wind picked up, blowing her hair as the sky cleared up and stars started to twinkle down. The night was in peace. The world was safe once again.
The insects dissipated and Kirara landed next to her. She turned into her smaller form and rubbed herself against Kyoko's legs.
“Come on Kirara, let's go-” she stopped when she thought of something.
“How am I going to go home?” she asked herself.
