Kyoko woke up by the alarm of her clock. She sat up and stretched and rubbed the sleep off her eyes. Kyoko was seventeen years old and was a senior at her high school and today was her last day of school, forever! She heard a knock on her door.

 

“Come in!” said Kyoko. Her older brother, who was twenty years old, opened the door. “Hey sis. Do you want me to give you a ride to school?” he asked. Kyoko smiled and replied, “Sure Jiro. I would like that. Just give me a few minutes and I'll meet you downstairs.” Jiro nodded and closed the door.

 

Kyoko sighed. She knew who she was. Kagome. Kagome Higurashi who was a Miko and who committed suicide in the Feudal Era. She was in love with a hanyou named InuYasha and she remembered every single detail from what he thought to the painful death when she jumped off the cliff and landed hard on the rocky bottom. Kyoko cringed at the remembrance.

 

She walked to her mirror and looked at herself. She looked exactly like Kagome, except for her eyes. Instead of brown eyes, she had blue. Then, she walked towards her closet and put on her uniform. It was a knee-length purple shirt with a purple sailor top. She couldn't wait to get rid of the sailor uniform. Who ever came up with the sailor thing?

 

After she did her usual hygiene ritual, her brother drove her to school and dropped her off. Her graduation would be later in the day.

 

Kyoko saw her friends walking towards her. `Oh no, here they come. At least they aren't that annoying as my friends in my later life,' she thought.

 

“Hey Kyoko, we've been looking for you. Haru has been asking about you,” said Maiko. Kyoko rolled her eyes. Haru was much like Hojo. `Is my later life trying to repeat itself?' she asked in her mind. “What's wrong Kyoko? You know that Haru has a HUGE crush on you and is the most popular and good looking guy in the school and is so sweet,” said Gin.

 

Kyoko glared at her friends and said, “You forgot one thing. He's clueless about everything!” Maiko and Gin looked at their friend, shocked from the sudden outburst. Kyoko huffed and went into the school. Before she went into the school, she saw a man walking past her school. When he was gone mumbled, “I could have sworn that was InuYasha in his human form, nah.” She shook her head and went to get the day over with.

 

Graduation came and gone. Kyoko was valedictorian of her class. When she was giving her speech, she saw her brother and father sitting on front row, where the other family member and friends were sitting at to watch her fellow graduates graduate.

 

Kyoko was now sitting in her room. She was browsing through her mind, watching Kagome's memories. She saw Kagome's mother, brother, and grandfather. She saw InuYasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kaede.

 

Kyoko had a temptation to see Kagome's family. It has been seventeen years since Kagome passed on. Would they believe her? There was only one way to find out.

 

Kyoko saw her father sitting in the kitchen, reading a newspaper. “Father, could you take me to the Higurashi Shrine? I am sort of interested in its history,” Kyoko partly lied. Her father, Kin, raised a brow. But, he agreed to drop her off at the shrine.

 

Who knows what history might be there?
