That night, Kyoko was given back her mind and body, and she was glad for that. It was a horrible feeling, knowing that you were kicked out of your own mind and that you couldn't control anything that was going on.

 

She didn't know why Kagome changed so much. She remembered, by flashbacks, that Kagome was kind and sincere. This Kagome seemed tainted. It was like she had a black swirl in her heart. What's going on?

 

~Hello Kyoko~

 

Kyoko recognized that voice. It was, it was, it was Kagome!

 

~~Hello Kagome. Do you want something?~~

~I have a question. Do you like InuYasha?~

 

Kyoko was shocked at what Kagome just said. What is Kagome going with this?

 

~~Well, I think InuYasha is a handsome man, but I don't think he's my type.~~

 

Kagome chuckled in the background.

 

~Really? I can see into your mind that you are half telling the truth…~

~~What are you going with this Kagome? What do you want?~~

~You can't deny him. You are a part of me. We like the same men, which is InuYasha. You can not deny the love for him, since I loved him in my life.~

 

Kyoko was in a daze. Can she separate herself from Kagome? She knew, although, that Kagome was telling the truth. She did love InuYasha, because she is Kagome reincarnated.

 

Then, she heard Kagome laughing in her mind again.

 

~I can control you whenever I want. Remember that.~

 

Kagome left her mind. Kyoko felt a tear escaped from her eye. Will she ever escape the life she's leading now? She doesn't want to become someone's pawn.

 

She dragged herself off her bed and went outside to go to the God Tree. She sighed and climbed up to a spot away where Kagome and InuYasha usually sat. Kyoko didn't want anything Kagome did. She's her own person, not someone else's.

 

Kyoko sat on a branch, far away from the usual branch. She looked up to the clear, night sky. It was a beautiful night. The stars were shining and the moon was full. She could hear crickets chirping and owls hooting. Yes, it was a beautiful night.

 

Kyoko was hoping the night would never end. She didn't want tomorrow to come and the day after. She didn't want to see InuYasha and Kagome's friends and she didn't want Kagome to talk to her.

 

`Why did this have to happen to me? My life was just normal and perfect a couple days ago, what happened?' she thought. She laid her head in her hands and started to cry.

“When did my life get fucked up?” she sobbed.

 

Then she heard a voice, “Don't cry Kagome, please don't.”
