Kyoko was sleeping. While she was sleeping, she was smiling:

 

>Kyoko was sitting on a bench. Around her were Sango and Miroku, holding hands. InuYasha was sitting in the God Tree, with Kagome in his lap. Next to her was Shippo. Shippo had his tail around her waist. Her head was on his shoulder and smiled. She was happy. Everyone was happy.<

 

Twenty-five year old Kyoko woke up with a smile on her face. Even though InuYasha died the day after she rescued him from ever-lasting evil, she guessed that it was unfortunately his time.

 

She was happy that she had her old life back. No more people from the Feudal Era and evil people creeping up around her. She could feel the presences of Miroku, Sango, and Shippo around her. Even InuYasha and Kagome.

 

`At least they had a happy ending,' she thought. She remembered when she was eighteen; she saw Kagome and InuYasha dancing among the clouds when she looked up when he passed on. She was there when it happened.

 

They started to walk to his apartment. Kyoko was holding him up since he was so mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted. One minute everything was going all right, and the next he just fell onto the ground, not breathing. Kyoko's breath caught her chest. She couldn't believe what just happened. Then, she looked up. Kyoko saw InuYasha embracing Kagome. Then, they started to dance.

 

All she needed was her happy ending; her happily ever after.

 

Time from time, she could feel Shippo's arms around her. She remembered him whispering her to meet someone, to keep on living her life but she refused. She knew that he was the one, at the last moment. She regrets waiting for so long.

 

`Shippo I'll wait for you. I'm only human, I'll wait until my human existence ends,' she thought as she looked out her window.

 

She saw doves fly by and smiled.
