"And she knew me." Inuyasha said, he looked at Miroku. "She knew who I was."

"Really?" Miroku asked. "Cool, I never saw that coming..."

"I mean...she never even looked at me twice and she knew who I was." Inuyasha said with a small

smile. "Do you think it means something?"

"It could." Miroku said. "But...aren't you two suppose to hate each other or something?"

Inuyasha shook his head slowly. "It all changed, for good this time when she punched Kikyo...she

did that for me. FOR ME! I mean...who would punch someone out for me? Miroku YOU

wouldn't even do that..." he paused. "A girl I just met..and she means so much to me already, is

that normal?"

"Hmm..." Miroku looked at his friend. "For me...yes, but for you..." he shook his head. "Have you

took your pills?"

"Oh that was nice." Inuyasha grumbled.

"Listen man." Miroku put his elbows on the table. "How do you feel when your around her?"

"I feel..." Inuyasha sighed. "I feel like nothing can go wrong, I feel like as long as she's there I

have no need to worry about anything." he sighed again. "I don't know what I'm going to do, I

don't even know if I am actually having real feelings for her yet. Maybe its just me wanting some

rebound action."

"Now that's something I highly doubt." Miroku said. "I can't really see you as that kind of a guy,

and some people might not be able to see how you are able to fall in love with a girl you just met.

But these things do happen."

"Just think though. She forgave me after a snapped at her the first time we met, she punched

Kikyo for what she had done to me, and last night she was able to know that I was Inuyasha."

Inuyasha's eyes seemed to liven up. "Maybe she's the one."

Miroku smiled. 'Now he's starting to catch on, I saw this coming. I knew he was going to find a

new love when he came on this trip.' "So, that's what you think?"

Inuyasha nodded. "Yes, I honestly...truly do."

"You going to tell her?"

"How can I? Maybe she doesn't feel the same way." Inuyasha said looking down at the table. "So

maybe I am only shitting myself...making myself believe that she would actually have me..."

"Don't say that, hey, I think I have a chance with Sango, and I think you have a better chance with

Kagome." Miroku smirked. "You'll get her...I'm sure of it."

Kagome walked by herself down a deserted part of the beach, all that day she had been running

around with Sango, so as the sun went down she just wanted to walk by herself for awhile. 'I

wonder what Inuyasha was doing all day...' she thought to herself. She blushed as the face of the

hanyou crossed her mind for about the millionth time that day. 'Why am I suddenly thinking about

him ever spare chance I get?'

She silently laughed at herself. "I can't believe I am falling for him already. Hahahahaha." she

laughed at herself and shook her head. "I'm crazy."

"For what you did yesterday...yes you are."

Kagome turned around to face Kikyo and two of her friends, her eyes narrowed. "What do you

want?"

"I'm returning what you did for me yesterday." Kikyo smirked.

'I don't like the sound of this.' Kagome thought.

"Girls..." Kikyo smirked. "Lets get this over with."

The next few minutes were a blur for Kagome, she was first bashed in the head with a piece of

wood and fell to the ground, then kicked and stamped on. Then Kikyo, the 'lady like' miko herself

picked up a piece of wood with a nail in it. Kagome closed her eyes tight and screamed as she felt

the nail break repeated holes in her body.

She now lay, half covered in sand and her own blood in the middle of the darkened beach. '...I

guess punching her wasn't a good idea after all...' she frowned and winced. '...no...I did it for a

good cause...' "Inuyasha..." she said just before her whole world went black.
