Day 4 Part 2: Confessions

Kagome stood their shaking; Inuyasha didn't know what was wrong with her. He felt confused one minute he was holding her and kissing her, and next she was silent and standoffish. “Kagome are you alright.” He waited for a response. He sighed, while watching her as she folded her arms over her chest, while her head lowered shadowing her eyes with her bangs. He could smell the tears in her eyes. His inner self-wanted to soothe her, protect her, and instead he just stood there dumbfounded as to what he did to cause the beauty before him such grief.

She knew that she was being silly for crying over something that happened four years ago. Nevertheless, the traumatic images could not suppress anymore. She knew she needed to vent to let it all out, but she did not want to do it in front of Inuyasha. She heard him calling for her she just ignored him. She let her thought's runaway with her. ` Kagome what did I tell you; wake up this is not Inuyasha's fault. And you shouldn't worry yourself over that bastard, he doesn't deserve your tears, Inuyasha does, he cares for you and wants to be with you, let the past go, and step towards the future with this handsome man.' She closed her eyes, her conscience was right she needed to let the past go.

“Inuyasha, I am sorry I led you on, I'm sorry.” She cried and pleaded with him, hoping he wasn't mad at her. Looking up she stared into his beautiful eyes, which were looking at her with concern.

He slowly approached her, without breaking eye contact. “ What in the world do you have to be sorry for, I didn't know that skirt meant so much to you. I should have never ripped it, I am sorry for that, but there is no reason that you should be sorry.”

`The dress…' She never even looked at her new attire; she was too busy wallowing in her selfishness. Glancing at her skirt, she sighed. `Now I do look like some Amazon women.' She pondered, then looked up at him, and smiled. “Inuyasha that is not why I'm upset, you did nothing wrong, I don't even know why I'm crying over the silly thing.” She fibbed.

He rumbled low in his chest, “ Do not lie to me. You said that you had something you wanted to tell me, and I am not going anywhere until you do, and don't get any ideas about pulling my ears again, because the next time you will be on the ground with me above you.” He threatened, glaring at her with a half grin.

She turned her eyes away from his gaze. Lowering her head again, she said “Fine I will tell you but I don't want to do this here, why don't we sit on the beach and have a picnic,” she clapped her hands together. “Now doesn't that sound like fun, then we can tell stories of long ago.”

“You know I thought we removed that boot…”

“Inuyasha! Don't fucking start with me, if you want to know that's fine, but don't you dare get cynical on me, or this conversation is through.” She yelled, and then she stormed out of the cave, heading towards the field.

He grumbled something under his breath then retrieved his prior kill and ran after her. It wasn't long before she was once again nestled in his tight embrace. He was pleased that she didn't complain. In addition, smiled, “Which way would you like to have this picnic?”

She did not care right at this moment, she really dreaded telling him, she did not think it would hurt their relationship, since he was dead. “I don't care Inuyasha just pick a spot.” She smiled trying to sound fun and full of life, however she knew better and just recently he did too.

He just huffed and took off in a sprint, his legs where strong and sturdy, nothing stood in his way, no fallen trees, rocks or thick patches of foliage that looked like if you got entwined in them they would be your downfall, he just jumped over them with ease. Their hair flapped freely in the breeze, which he had created with his velocity.

She felt content in his arms, like she almost belonged there. She fit perfectly in his strong arms as they were only made for her, she sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying the smooth ride. She tried not to think about what happened earlier in the morning, his touch was still lingering in her mind, she wanted so bad to feel him again. “Damn skirt,” she mumbled softly, unaware that a certain half demon heard her too.

“Yes damn skirt, he repeated, he too knew that vile little piece of clothe ended what could have led to other and greater things. Taken back by her dominant behavior, he wasn't use to it, most of the woman he had been with he has always taken the lead and liked it that way, even his inner demon couldn't complain when she took charge, ` I want you…' her words plagued his mind. His eyes widen when he suddenly smelt her desire spike up once more. A smile appeared on his handsome face, apparently she was thinking about it too. `I wonder what is so important.'

They arrived at the beach as he set foot on the hot white sand. Gulls flew above them, while waves crashed onto the shore. He could see the damage from the storm. Limbs that couldn't contain the strong winds, lay on the beach, kelp also watched up to shore, probably due to the violent surges from the ocean depths.

“Well we're here, where would you like me to set up?” He asked her, while setting her down carefully on the white ground.

“Anywhere is fine Inuyasha.” She did not care where he set up camp; she just wanted to get this ordeal over with so she could move on with him. Wait did she really think there was a relationship, with the man before her as she watched him gather loads of wood that bestowed the white beach from the prior storm. She drooled, as she roamed her eyes lustfully at his well chiseled body, to her he looked like a Greek Adonis with long hair, fangs, claws and not to mention those ears, white and velvety. She was amazed how strong he actually was as he pushed a boulder into the shade.

She couldn't stop gazing at his glistened chest, as he ran his forearm over his sweaty brow. She was thankful for her new Inuyasha attire as a breeze cooled her sweaty legs.

It didn't take long before the fire was aglow. She could smell the delicate meat cooking in the red ambers of the fire. That is all she could stare at, she knew he was directly looking at her and knew that he was implying that she needed to spill the beans. She took in a deep breath.

She approached him, as her skirt revealed her muscular toned legs. He tried to peek, however the skirt would not reveal what he so desired hidden from him only tantalizing him with her scent.

She sat next to him, leaning her head up against his strapping frame. She could feel his arms wrap around her shoulders bring her in closer. She wanted to forget what she told him and just continue where they left off. “Damn skirt, she mumbled again.

He chuckled when he heard her again bitch about her attire. “You know I can fix that problem for you.”

She glared up at him, I think you have already helped enough Inuyasha, she stated, then tried to get up and move to the other side of the fire. However, his hold was strong and he would not so easily release her.

“Oh yes, I have and may I say, its defiantly a good look for you. Now where were we…oh, yes you were going to tell me a story.” He smirked then flipped the birds over to cook.

She gulped hoping he had forgotten, just `my' luck that he did not. “Inuyasha…um… where do I begin?” She asked timidly.

“Well it's always good to start from the beginning.” He said sarcastically.

“Smartass,” she retorted, “Now if you just shut up long enough maybe I will be able to start.”

He narrowed his unyielding eyes upon her, and seethed with anger, “You know what sweetheart,” he demanded pinning her on the soft sand, while he rested above her. He held her arms firmly above her head as he stared down at her beautiful face lustfully. “ I think it is you, who needs to shut up.” Then he kissed her hard, not inviting like before, no that was to easy for his dragon lady, she needed to submit. He love to feel her squirm under him she was so vigorous. He released his seal when she tried to muffle out her words. “What was that?”

“Inuyasha, if you do not release me, there will be hell to pay.”

No not until you apologize for telling me to shut up?”

What, me apologize to you, why because you have a big mouth.”

He kissed her again only to prove his point, “You will know your place, bitch.”

“Excuse me my place, and when did my place become under your body.”

“Since I decided that you will, be my mate.” He could not believe that he just blurted that out, `is this what I really want,' he thought looking into her eyes. He loved her fierceness, her free spirit that soared right into his heart. `Yes, I love her, I do want this.'

“What your what!” She yelled, while, still trying to get out of his grasp.

“Your mate, your husband…you know to honor and obey!” He sternly said.

She laughed, “To honor and obey…huh, what makes you think I will do both and who in the hell are you to make up my mind. I didn't agree to becoming your mate.”

“You did when you wanted to be with me?”

“Well that's settled, I don't want to be with you.” She seethed with anger, `how dare he.' She thought. “Inuyasha we hardly know each other, I can't except this offer or proposal, however my answer is no!” She stated firmly, however, she knew that the man before her already inched into her very being, she couldn't think that she would be able to survive without him near her. She knew that they haven't know each other long, nevertheless she felt like she had known him her entire life, and at that moment she was sure that she was in love with him.

She turned her head away from his penetrating glare; she knew he was angry with her for rejecting him. “Inuyasha…” she said softly, she didn't want to hurt him. She never wanted to reject him.

“What!” he yelled, his voice was harsh and dejected. He could not help but stare at her with his angry eyes, as he watched her. His heart split when hearing that dreaded “No” word form from her soft pink supple lips.

“I can't, I am sorry Inuyasha.” She implored as tears swelled up in her eyes. She turned her head to look into his, “Inuyasha its not that I don't want to be with you, because I do.” She watched his mournful eyes lighten up with hope. “I'm just scared to be with you.” She openly admitted, before he was able to speak she cut him off using her finger placing it on his lips as a means to silence him.

She decided she start her story; she hoped that maybe he would understand her better and why she could not accept his offer. “The year was 1997, I just graduated college, I was ranked top of the class, and that's where I first met him.”

He released his hold on her as she told her tale, lifting her arms up gently, his eyes held, love warmth and they pleaded with her to forgive him, for losing his temper. He gave her his full attention.

“His name was Hojo Matsuo, he was a twenty-eight year old accountant.” She continued to tell him that he was there for his little sister's graduation party as well.

“Was he your boyfriend?” Inuyasha asked curiously, `could this be the reason she will not be with me?'

“No, that is where we first me, I fell in love with him deeply over the weeks, he was my first in every way. Being an accountant, he helped me get started with my business, it was small at first, however in years grew immensely.”

“And this is what you do now, your business… And what exactly was that again?” He chuckled.

She sighed, taking a deep breath, “ Yes Inuyasha, I still own it, however I don't know for how much longer since I am stuck here…” She could tell that he looked rejected again, only to hear her say with him once more, however she needed to be honest with him and her feelings, if she wanted this relationship to escalade further, “…with you're handsome ass.” She chuckled, as he radiated before her, glowing in happiness.

He snickered, “ You know it sweetheart!”

She smiled heartily at him and continued to answer his question, “ As far at what I do, it's pretty simple really, I start and buy companies that are falling apart, in everyway, basically their dying companies, and then I go in and offer them a deal they can't refuse. Moreover, they accept the proposition and I turn it around making it a multi-million dollar company and then in turn sell it to the highest bidder. There are you happy now.” She smirked.

“Yes as a matter of fact I am,” he chuckled; he was feeling like himself again, instead of feeling like some wallowing pup.

She took in a deep breath and gave a small smile. She closed her eyes, willing herself to move forward in her conversation, “In the year 2001 I was to be married to him, I remember before my wedding day he came over and gave me a gift to wear on our honeymoon. This dress suit,” she said lifting up the ripped garment, “ I nearly died when he told me how much the damn thing cost, I asked him how he received such a large amount of money and he told me that he had connections.”

“Connections?”

“Yeah connections, well anyway the next day, was our wedding day and we stood before the alter, when the priest said does anyone object why these two cant be married, I remember hearing the large wooden doors of the cathedral bust open then the next thing I remember was gunshots, as Hojo threw himself over me protecting me.” She sadly stated, then began to cry.

“Oh Kagome… I am so sorry,” he pleaded trying desperately to calm her down, as he rubbed her shoulders only to bring her deeper into his embrace.

The tears streamed down her face, “I remember my hands were warm with his blood, as I watched him die before me. I found out later after his parents asked me to go through his belongings. It's then that I discovered, that he was a loan shark for the Italian mob, plus he was embezzling money from their very accounts, that bastard also, had other women on the side…and not to mention he stole from me as well,” she said dryly wiping her tears away. She did not want to cry for this man anymore, she wanted to move on with her life. How could she ever trust a man again, how could she move forward, when the memories of the man she loved died in her arms.

“So did they ever find out who murdered Hojo?” He inquired. `Is that why she was upset about her attire.' He grinded his teeth together, ` that no good son of a bitch, hell if he were alive I would of killed him myself'', he mused.

“No the police have no idea, but I do. I saw them.”

He looked at her confused and asked, “How?”

“When I was at Hojo's apartment, I was going through, stacks of paperwork, when I suddenly heard someone trying to get into the house. It wasn't long before the door busted open, and I ran towards the closet praying that they wouldn't find me. I was petite enough to fit into the small corner of the diminutive room. I could hear them rummaging around knocking stuff over, I thought for sure they were going to find me.”

“Then what happened?” Inuyasha asked, while taking the cooked fowl off the heat.

“ Well I'm inquisitive by nature, so I just had to take a look. I opened the door slowly, only to crack it, I could feel my heart franticly thumping in my chest, I can't compare which is worse watching you two-timing, stealing fiancé die or them finding me.”

“ So did you go to the police?” He asked, he was also intrigued with her life story; it was only something you would see out in the movies or something. `Is this why she won't be with me… does she think I will cheat on her.' He held her closer, soothing her, “Kagome? Why did you feel the need to share this with me? Is it that you're afraid that I `m going to cheat on you or are you afraid because…”

“… No Inuyasha, I am afraid of getting to close to men, I tried dating afterwards it took me a year and a half before I even excepted a date.” She sighed, “ Men, took advantage of my heartbroken situation only benefiting themselves, telling me that they want the world with me, that they would protect me, then leave and never hear from them again, not even a fucking phone call,” she seethed, “ I don't want that to happen with you.” She could not believe how blunt she was being now. How easy it was to open her heart and soul to him. She looked at him bewildered, wondering if he was that kind of same man, and if he was, could he be honest with her? She needed to know.

Inuyasha closed his eyes, feeling the warm rays hitting his face as the sun shifted, plus their once nice shady spot, soon disappeared. `Is that what she thinks that I am going to do to her.'

“Inu…”
“Kag…” They said in unison.

Kagome blushed when he told her to go first, she melted again with his strong handsome features, however before she began to speak. He shot up out of her arms growling.

“Inuyasha is there something wrong?” She questioned him, as she watched his ears twitch; attuned to whatever sound he was hearing. She slowly stood; shaking the sand from her legs, back, arms and it was even in her hair. He was silent, she poked him, “Hey Inuyasha, I am talking to yo-?”

He silenced her with his hand; looking down at her, he put his finger to his lip, telling her that she needed to be quiet. He quickly killed the fire by kicking the sand over it. There was danger very close, he could smell it and hear, however couldn't see. His instincts were telling him to run, just take the girl and run, but he opted to ignore his second sense. He could smell humans on the small isle. Where they friend or foe, he could not make out so he would wait until they confronted him. He reached into his tattered pants pocket only to pull out the silver trinket, and then placed it on his wrist while he watched amazed as his claws and other demon features disappear.

He could smell her uneasiness, he could tell she was confused on why he needed to transform, so he told her, “ Kagome we're not alone, there are other humans here and I don't know if they're good or bad.”

Kagome's face lit up, `We're saved.' She didn't want to believe it, “We're saved, Inuyasha, we can go home,” she rejoiced, as she danced around Inuyasha, “ Oh God, I am going to have this huge steak, oh and take a hot shower, not to mention a soft fluffy bed.” Kagome was in heaven chanting around like some little kid who just found out that they're going somewhere special.

Inuyasha could not help but chuckle at her little display, still in his defensive posture; he could not help but silently agree; yet he felt restless, that something was awry.

Naraku Fujimoto made his way off the white speedboat, as it nestled in the sand. He eyed his large Yacht as she sat anchored in the distance. His long black wavy hair blew freely in the ocean breeze; his white button down silk shirt, flapped in the soft breeze, as Naraku's white pants fit snug around his robust figure. He narrowed his cold malevolence eyes as he scoped the beach, as his hoodlums gathered around him awaiting their next order.

Looking down at his designer watch, he knew that the buyers would arrive very shortly, by plane. He told his men to scout out the area. He needed to know that they were alone on the island, in order to make his connection so they could send cocaine to and from the United States.

When he first came across the Island, seven years ago, he found the perfect place for his drug running. Being a major drug cartel was no easy task, always watching his back for FBI or the dreadful drug and task force, on either side of the border. Transportation by private plane-made it much easier.

“Busque la isla!” The dark figure ordered his men, as he watched them quickly scurrying away to look for anything amiss. It was a simple order, and he was proud that his men listened so well.

They new better, the last man to cross Naraku ended up with a bullet in his head. So they headed out with their boss's orders to search the Island. Each time that they would arrive, it would always be the same orders, make sure Island is secure, and then they would take care of the deal.
