Chapter 29
…To Naraku's House We Go!
Sango was stunned speechless, at the sound of Miroku's voice. “W-what are you doing here?” she asked, suddenly. Sango never expected him to show up at her job. `Fuck!' she never thought she would see him again. Her stomach fluttered, and she had that all too familiar feeling in her throat. He was pissed. She knew it and it frightened her. She had no choice but steel herself from the unexpected wrath; she knew she would soon receive.
Miroku was not happy that she left him, as he stared at her callously. Hell, he tried to convince himself that it was just a one-night-stand. He was enthralled with her and wanted to know her inside-and-out. What made her tick? What favorite foods did she like? However, leaving him was her mistake, and he was here to make her aware, of what she could be losing.
“I asked you a question? I expect an answer!” He didn't intend for his question to sound so harsh.
Sango cringed hearing his voice, deep, hurt, and angry. What did she expect; she left him without a trace when she departed, not even a formal goodbye. She didn't know what to say? This wasn't the place to discuss such matters. She held her head down in shame, all she could say was, “I'm, so sorry, Miroku.” She couldn't hold back the tears, in her eyes any longer. She could only hope that her break would come soon. She was confused, and didn't understand the strong emotions she was feeling.
“That's it? That's all you have to say?” Miroku lowered his head hiding the sudden pain he felt in his chest. He needed to find courage in his heart to tell her…that he felt something more—something magical.
“Sango…!Another round of drinks for me and my friends!” a customer shouted, as he slammed his money on the table.
Sango shook her head, “I'll be right there.” Looking up at Miroku, she could see the sullen expression on his face. She wanted to reach across the bar and just hold him. Yet, she didn't and with almost a whisper she said, “Please stay…” She looked over at the eager customers, and forced a smile as she sauntered over to them.
Miroku looked up as he watched her work. He decided their still might be a glimmer of hope that he could be with her again…anyway possible. He would convince Sango that he was the right man for her.

Naraku paced with anticipation, when he watched Bankotsu's car approaching his drive. He could barely see the woman in the car due to glare from the scorching sun. He smiled callously. `Soon you two perros… soon'

Bankotsu parked the car and turned his head addressing the angered woman in the backseat. “I do hope you don't try anything stupid. Naraku assured me that you wouldn't be hurt.”
Rin laughed mockingly, “Bankotsu, don't tell me that you're worried. You weren't concerned when you kidnapped me!”
Bankotsu growled, “I've no choice but to listen to my boss…”
Rin leaned forward, “Awe Bankotsu, are you suddenly having a guilty conscience? Or, do you even have one?” she asked dripping with venom. “Did you feel this way after you fucked Kikyo—while your best friend was oblivious to your actions?”
Bankotsu punched the steering wheel. With an angered expression, Rin knew she said too much. Opening the driver's side door, he got out quickly then slammed it with such force that the car shook with velocity.
Rin scooted toward the rear passenger side hoping that the other door would just miraculously open, but it didn't! She watched Bankotsu look into the window with a malice smirk, as he opened the back door of the sedan.
“You shouldn't say such things-!” He roared, as he tried to grab at her feet. “I loved Kikyo…and Inuyasha wasn't the man she needed!”
“Shut up! You pig…stay away from me!” Rin threatened. She couldn't escape, and she wasn't going anywhere without a fight. Every time he tried to grab her, she would kick him.
“Bitch…!” he roared. “Are you going to get the fuck out of this car? Or, are you going to make me come in after you!” he smirked, “you won't like it if I have to sit next to you!”
“You back off! Then I will come out!” Rin said with a defeated voice. She knew his threat was real. It was pointless to try to run—there was no place to go. Therefore, she opt with the more peaceful solution; surrendering.
Bankotsu smiled anger still evident in his voice, “That's a girl, nice and slow.” He backed away, ready if she did anything stupid. He tilted his head up, looking at the large white house before him. Outside was a statuesque figure glaring down at him. He frowned, Naraku.
Rin stepped out of the car the moment Bankotsu moved aside. She glared at him. She wanted so bad just to slap him, grab the keys and drive away. She chortled silently. She knew that was a dumb risk, the man was stronger than she was. She looked around the area, briefly. To her dismay armored men stood defensively around the front of the house. They would surly just shoot the tires out. `Shit!' she cursed, even if it was to herself.
Bankotsu could see the trepidation in her warm brown eyes. Grabbing her arm gently, but firmly, he whispered in her ear, “Rin, remember what I told you. Listen and you won't get hurt.”
“Bankotsu,” she laughed, “you should take your own advice being that when my husband finds out…he won't be so merciful.”
Bankotsu snorted, “That will never happen. He'll be dead before he even lays a hand on me…Naraku will se to that.” He grabbed her arm tighter as he led her in the direction of the wide marble staircase which leads to the patio.
Rin glared coldly up at him, but didn't say anything else. She wondered if her mate could sense her unease.

The plane seated the five comfortably. Inuyasha sat next to the window and Kagome was in the seat next to him. Hiten was seated in the back…laughing at Shippo's piloting. He too was a pilot and was pleased that Shippo was good with his craft.
The last fifteen minutes, felt like an eternity to the three who had death grips on their seats. Kagome had a vice like grip around Inuyasha's wrist. She squeezed every time Shippo rolled the plane, either left or right. Since they took off Shippo was non-stop with his reckless behavior.
Shippo laughed joyously as he pushed in the Y-shaped yoke, watching the nose descend towards the blue ocean. The vintage plane began to shake fiercely. Yet, it did not matter as long as he didn't stall the plane, he was strong enough to pull it out before it started spinning uncontrollably. His 1929 Lockheed Vega b5 was not built for stunts, but with some major repairs, he made the vintage plane into something that would endure. Only one hundred and thirty two were made and he had two of them.
One of his planes was always kept hidden in his bunker. Amelia Earhart was his inspiration when he was a teen, listening to the radio. He was impressed that she was the only woman who flew over the Atlantic. Another aviator, which had the same plane, was Wiley Post.
Back then, that was an amazing feet, considering the technology.
Inuyasha growled, as Kagome clung tighter to him, “Shippo cut the fucking crap, now!” He was astonished that his brother didn't say something. He was just as amazed that his stoic fearless brother had his eyes closed tightly. Shippo continued to laugh, and Inuyasha's eyes narrowed in utter anger. He just survived a plane crash, stranded on an Island, captive by a monster and lost in the Amazon. Just rescued, he did not come here to relive his fears and face death a second time. “Shippo,” his voice was low and meaningful. “So help you Shippo! When we land-that is if I survive-hell even if I don't, I will find a way to rip your soul to shreds on the way to wherever the fuck we're going!”
Shippo huffed in defeat and began to pull the yoke up. It was always a risky move to nosedive a plane, but he knew his baby and its capability of handling. The plane ascended. He wasn't worried about crashing, knew they're high enough in altitude, and was confident that he could pull out of the death-defining stunt. “See… nothing to worry about Inuyasha…, everything is under control.”
“So you say?” Sesshomaru snarled, “You better fucking run cause' when we land-I'm going to make you're tail into a nice fur muff for my mate!”
“I'll even help hold him down?” Kagome snickered.
“I might take you up on that Kagome,” Sesshomaru smirked, as he gave promising glances of utter pain towards the fox.
Inuyasha whined, “Hey…what about me?”
Kagome leaned over to him, “Why, you can make the muff!”
Shippo growled, “Nobody is fucking touching my tail!”
“Then fly the plane, the way it's supposed to kit!” Sesshomaru snapped, rubbing his forehead to ease some of the stress.

Once landed, they hailed a taxi and headed towards the Inn.
From the opposite side of the road, nobody noticed a tall man, with shoulder length black hair. His brown beady eyes, watched his mark. He looked down at the picture of the two brothers Bankotsu provided him. He smiled, clenching the picture until he could feel the paper crumple in his hands. Picking up his black cellular phone, he waited until the group was inside and then called his boss.

Rin sat at a large glass circular table outside. She refused to look into Naraku's cold callous eyes any longer. The very thought of having lunch with the man made her ill.
“What's the matter my dear? Are you not hungry?” Naraku asked calmly. He was surprised, how obedient she was. He never had to ask her twice. He smirked. She was very attractive, but he wasn't interested in her romantically.
“How could you ask me that?” she said, poking the nice sized steak with her fork. She glance up at him, “when do I get to go home?”
Naraku chuckled, “Be assured that you're food is not tainted.” Taking another bite of his rare steak, he raised his glass, filled with a nice vintage merlot.
Rin turned her head away, looking at the scenery. She mumbled, “Be assured that it's not the food but the company.”
Naraku chuckled, watching her look up at him alarmed. “Yes, Rin my hearing is just fine—probably not as good as your husbands, but enough to hear the faintest whisper. Now eat…I will not have you malnourished when you return.”
“And when will that be!”
Naraku's cell phone began to ring, “as soon as the lovely bonita is returned safely to me.” He answered his phone, ignoring the bemused look from his guest. “This better be good!”
Rin watched intently, as Naraku's face went from calm to angry in a blink of an eye. She wondered what could have him so angered. She jumped when he stood up abruptly and yelled Bankotsu's name.
Bankotsu was sitting in the lounge, watching the soccer game. He stood immediately when he heard his boss yell for him, and by the sound of his voice, he knew it could not be good. Turning off the television, he walked out of Naraku's house and joined him outside. “Sir?” he asked hesitantly.
Naraku sneered as he sat back down. “It seems that they've made it back to the hotel safely. However, that dumbass of a brother of yours…is with them.” Naraku looked at him with disgusted eyes, “you know what I told you earlier…?”
Bankotsu's eyes widened in realization, Naraku was asking him to kill his brother. He gulped remembering his recent orders if his brother was to betray them. He never thought that he would have to kill his own kin. “Yes sir…I understand.”
“Good…and please also let Sesshomaru know that I have his wife.” He picked up his glass, sipping it as he watched Rin's troubled expression. “Make sure that he also gets the message that his wife will be returned safely once I have Kagome in my grasp!”
Bankotsu nodded, “Yes sir.” Then he returned inside the home to make his call. He gripped the phone tightly. He needed to think…he needed a way to save his brother.
