Chapter 12

Getting Information

Everyone just stared at her. She had been going thru a lot of different moods lately. It seemed that she couldn't handle the stress.

Miroku was the one to break the silence. "Kagome-sama, may I see what is on your hip? I may be able to help. As a monk I learn about many different things." He said seriously.

Kagome just looked at him. She didn't want him to do anything. She didn't want anyone else to see it. But she wanted it off.

"You won't touch me? Just look." She asked him.

"Hai just look." He said

"You lay one hand on her bouzo and I'll hit you harder." Inuyasha threatened,

Miroku nodded and waited for Kagome to show him.

Kagome lofted her shirt a little bit and pulled her waistband of her skirt down enough to see the mark. She just watched him as he looked at it.

"Do you know what it is?" She asked him.

"No, I may have an idea but I must confirm it with Kaede-sama. Do you know what the mark says?" He said.

"It's written in a different language. It's an H in English." She said and looked away while fixing her clothes.

They all knew what was wrong. It was the first letter of his name. It was in a different language but still his initial. They all just at there silently for a little while.

"Let's go back to Keade-baba's village. She might know how to get it off." Inuyasha said while standing.

They all nodded. He then picked Kagome up and settled her on his back. "You're tired. Go to sleep."

"Hai. Arigato Inuyasha." She said and fell asleep.

They were all walking back toward the village once again. They were never going to get any shards at this rate. They couldn't do anything about it right now. They didn't know where he was. They didn't even know where to start looking.

All they could do now was go ask Kaede if she knew what it was, and if she knew how to get it off. They would have to wait for Hojo to come to them. He said before he was coming, but when?

They had been traveling all day. They were now waiting for dinner to get done. Kagome was awake and making ramen. Miroku kept looking at Sango lecherously. Sango was trying not to give in to the urges to just beat him up. Shippo was asleep on Inuyasha's lap and Inuyasha was still mad at Miroku for interrupting them earlier.

He was just about to bite down on her neck when Miroku showed up. Inuyasha wanted to kill him. He probably would have to if it weren't for Kagome. She would be mad at him if he killed him.

That didn't help his mood at all. He wanted to claim Kagome. He didn't know if she was ready so he was just going to put a mark to show she was already claimed just not fully mated.

After they had eaten their dinner they went to bed. They had to get up pretty early if they wanted to get to the village by sundown. Inuyasha wanted to know how to get that damn mark off of her as soon as possible.

No one should be able to punish HIS mate. Well soon to be anyway. He just went to sleep with Kagome in his arms. He was still alert of the world around him just in case something bad were to happen, something worse anyway.

One by one everyone woke up. They ate breakfast and headed toward the village. It had been a long day. Everyone wanted to know about the mark and how to get it off.

They were almost there when they were attacked by a youkai. It was a weak one, it was about two times Shippo's size. He had a pipsqueak voice too.

"Give me the Shikon shards." Everyone just stared at him. He must have been very brave or secretly strong. The youkai then took a swing at Miroku.

Miroku ended up with a big gash in his shoulder. The youkai was no more when Kagome shot it with her arrow. They didn't expect her to be able to kill it. She must have gotten stronger if she could kill it with just one arrow.

Usually the worst she could do was damage it a little bit. She didn't realize what she had done she just ran up to Miroku and asked, "Miroku are you ok?"

"Hai." He got up and almost fell back down but he caught himself.

"I'll take him to the river and dress his wounds. The village isn't far we'll meet you at Kaede's hut ok." Sango said.

"Hai." Kagome said and started walking towards the village. "Oh Shippo can you take them the bandages they forgot to take it with them."

"Hai Okaa-san." Shippo grabbed the bandages and ran towards the river.

Inuyasha was glad he was gone. Now he could be alone with Kagome for a bit. He would have to mark her fast or Shippo would show up before he did it.

He grabbed Kagome's arm and spun her around. Kagome got dizzy and fell to the ground.

"Itai, Inuyasha what did you do that for?" Kagome asked rubbing her sore behind. She looked up at him when he didn't respond. He had an unreadable expression on his face. "Inuyasha?"

He pounced on her and made her fall on her back. "Inuya…" Inuyasha shut her up with a kiss. She was responding and so he tilted her head to make the kiss deeper. They both ran out of breath and Inuyasha started kissing down her neck.

`Hasn't this happened before?' thought Kagome until her thoughts became mush when he started nipping at her neck. She shivered. Inuyasha felt it and smiled.

He started sucking on the part of her neck where her shoulder and neck met. He then bit down. Kagome gasped. He had never done that before. It wasn't painful she was just surprised.

He then licked the blood away and kissed her where he bit her.

"What are you doing to Okaa-san?" Shippo yelled as he jumped on Inuyasha's head. He bit one of his ears.

"Itai, you're going to get it runt." He then jumped up and started chasing Shippo around. "I wasn't doing nothing to her baka."

Kagome just touched the bite wound. It felt weird. She felt that she should like the bite. She saw Sango and Miroku coming from the river.

"What happened this time?" asked Sango.

"Nothing. Come on let's go see Kaede." The three of them walked to hut together while Inuyasha was chasing Shippo.

By the time Inuyasha and Shippo got to the hut they were out of breath. Kagome had just finished telling Kaede what happened.

"I have not heard of such a thing. The best thing to do is to ask a youkai who knows a lot about old youkai mating."

They all thought about it for a while. Trying to think of who they could ask, everyone except Miroku. He saw the mark on Kagome's neck. He suspected Inuyasha hadn't told her what it was so he decided to tease him.

"Ne, Inuyasha why were you chasing Shippo earlier?" He asked changing the subject.

Kagome blushed and looked at the ground.

"Feh it's none of your business bouzo. Besides he it my ear." Inuyasha said.

"Liar you were biting Okaa-san's neck. I bit you because I thought you were trying to hurt her."

"I was not and you know it."

"Then what were you doing?" Asked Shippo.

"I said it's none of your business."

They just dropped the subject after that. Kagome was embarrassed enough, and Inuyasha was talking in that `if you say one more word and I'll kill you' kind of tone.

"Let's focus shall we. We need to think of a youkai that is old or educated enough to know about the old youkai mating." Kaede said.

"Who the could we ask?" Inuyasha said.

"I have a suggestion but you may not like it." Kaede said.

"Who are you thinking of?" Inuyasha asked.

"Sesshomaru."
