Chapter 30

The End

"Kikyo what are you doing?" Inuyasha asked. He hadn't seen her for a long time. Here she was holding a dagger against Kagome's neck.

"I was called. It was part of our deal was it not?" She said.

"Hai, it was part of our deal. You came quickly too." Hojo said.

"What deal?" Inuyasha yelled.

"Kikyo and I had a deal. She helped me get Kagome and she would take you to hell with her."

"How in the hell are you going to get Kagome if there's a dagger pointed at her neck?" Miroku asked.

"If I cannot have her no one can. It's as simple as that. Inuyasha why don't you go to hell with Kikyo? She's right there. Isn't that what you wanted?"

"No that's not what I want. Not anymore." Kikyo narrowed her eyes at Inuyasha.

"So this girl is more important than me? I thought you loved me. You said you would come to hell with me."

"No, I won't go to hell with you. Kagome is more important I love her." Inuyasha said.

Everyone gasped. They had never heard him admit that he loved her. Kagome was shocked. He hadn't told her he loved her. She was so happy she would've cried if she wasn't in danger.

"Is that it? You'd rather be in love with this cheap copy of me?" Kikyo said coldly.

"She is not a cheap copy of you. She is better than you. I love her and not you." Inuyasha said.

Kagome's stomach was doing flips. She really wished she wasn't being held back right now. Kagome wanted to hug him, kiss him, anything as long as she could be near him.

"Ah how touching. Although Kagome is mine whether you love her or not. I will teach her in time to love me. I don't even think she returns your feelings." Hojo said.

"It's a lie. I love him too. I always have." Kagome yelled. She tried to get out of Kikyo's grasp. She managed to get free. Her neck was cut slightly as she got away. Kikyo stood there stunned. This wasn't part of the plan.

Kagome ran to Inuyasha. She hugged him and he hugged her back. They realized that there were things that needed to be dealt with so they let go. Kagome stood next to him though.

"Fine have it your way then you both shall die." Kikyo said as she readied her bow.

"Kikyo this wasn't part of our deal. Kagome isn't supposed to die." Hojo said. Everything was starting to blow up in his face and he wasn't very happy about it.

"They will die." She said.

Kagome then used her spirit arrow and aimed it at Kikyo. She pulled back and they both released at the same time. Kikyo had been hit. There was a flash of light and she laid on the ground.

Everyone looked to Kagome. She was hit too. The arrow was sticking out of her shoulder. She was bleeding. Inuyasha picked her up. Kagome laid limp in his arms. He pulled out the arrow.

He could hear Kagome hiss from the pain even though she was unconscious. He took off his outer haori and laid it over Kagome. Inuyasha was beyond pissed now.

He looked at Hojo and his eyes turned red. His claws and fangs grew and a purple streak appeared on both sides of this face. He growled loudly and looked at Hojo.

Hojo jumped back in fear. How could Inuyasha transform into a youkai? He didn't know what to do. He never knew it was possible for a hanyou to turn into a full youkai.

Inuyasha lunged at him. Hojo barely dodged the attack. Before Hojo could recover Inuyasha had attacked him again. Hojo leaped from place to place dodging Inuyasha's attacks.

He was slowly beginning to get tired. Inuyasha showed no signs of slowing down. Inuyasha wanted to kill Hojo. How dare he hurt his mate. She was his and no one would hurt what was his.

He caught Hojo and punched him hard in the face. He was slammed back into the house. He went through two walls but before he could get up Inuyasha was beside him. He grabbed him and threw him through the roof.

Sango and Miroku managed to stop Kagome's shoulder from bleeding. They had to act quickly and move out of the way because Hojo was dropping from the sky above them. They watched as Inuyasha ran beside Hojo and said.

"Now you'll never touch MY mate again." He put his hand through Hojo's chest and crushed his heart. Hojo was now dead. There was no way he could come back now. Inuyasha turned around when Kagome said his name.

"Inuyasha." She said weakly. Inuyasha immediately calmed down and turned hanyou again. He ran toward her and hugged her.

"Gomen I couldn't stop you from getting hurt." Inuyasha said as he held her.

"It's all right Inuyasha. I'll be fine. Can you put me down for a minute?" She asked in a whisper.

He nodded and laid her back down. Kagome raised her good arm and put it over the wound. The wound glowed a blue light. Kagome smiled. Her wound was healed. There was nothing left not even a scar.

She sat up and looked around. Inuyasha picked her up. "Sango, Miroku, Shippo are you ok?" Kagome asked.

"Hai, we're ok. Are you all right?" Sango said.

"Hai. Just a little tired." She looked around and saw a body on the ground. It was Hojo. She squealed and buried her face in Inuyasha's neck. Hojo had a hole in his stomach. You could see his organs.

"So I assume Hojo is dead. What happened?" Kagome asked.

"Well to make a long story short Inuyasha turned into a full youkai and killed Hojo after Kikyo hit you with her arrow." Miroku said.

"What happened to Kikyo?" Kagome asked.

"She is dead. You hit her with your arrow and a white light shined and she was gone."

"Gomen Inuyasha." Kagome said.

"What are you sorry for? If you didn't kill her I would've done it." Everyone looked at him shocked that he would do that.

"What she was going to kill Kagome. Like I would let that happen. Come on let's go it smells."

"Hai." Everyone said.

They all gathered their things and left. They wouldn't have to travel long. They would get to the village by tomorrow at about noon since it was already late now. Everyone was happy.

Their latest enemy was now dead. Kikyo would now leave Inuyasha and Kagome alone. Sango and Miroku was happy for Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo. They could all be a family now.

Well they all couldn't truly be happy until Naraku was dead. They were going to take a long well deserved break before going after him. At least for now they were happy.
