“Are you sure it's ok for us to be this early?” Shippo asked. The previous evening Kagome had been called to help Kaede with her first birthing, and he, Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango had gathered to throw her a congratulatory lunch when she returned.

 

“Why wouldn't it be ok, Shippo?” Miroku replied curiously.

 

“Because the other night I heard Sango whining at you for coming too soon.”

 

Sango emitted a choked gasp and turned beat red, while Miroku smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. Inuyasha chuckled quietly to himself.

 

“Well,” the monk said, “even a superb male specimen such as myself can't bring the magic every time.”

 

“Sure, bouzu,” Inuyasha teased.

 

“Oh, so am I to understand that you've never left our dear Kagome unsatisfied?”

 

“W-well…”

 

“Ah, I see.”

 

“Most of the time she is!”

 

“Sure, Inuyasha.”

 

“Ask her yourself!”

 

“Don't you dare!” Sango ordered. “This conversation is over!”

 

Watching silently from the floor, Shippo was hard pressed to hold in his mirth. These simpletons think I don't know what they're talking about. Ha! I love saying `innocent' things that they take sexually! Now I just need to think of something to say when Kagome gets here…
