Chapter One: Freedom

Kagura wandered the halls and corridors of the castle Naraku had taken over three years ago she had woken up in the middle of the night only to not feel the bastards presence, something she despised everyday, feeling the presence of him. She was his prisoner, he had her heart in his hands and he could crush it at will anytime with no regrets.

He could just make another......

"Kanna!" Kagura yelled through the castle as she traveled at an almost run. She made a turn and entered the 'throne room' Kanna was where she normally was, on the right side of the big chair.

"Kanna, use your mirror, show me where Naraku is. Can you do that for me?" Asked Kagura as she knelt down in front of her 'little sister'. Kanna did not give any response except for holding up the round mirror in her hands to lets Kagura get a good view.

The inside of the Mirror began to swirl as an image of Naraku on the throne smirking straight at her.

"Kagura, by the time you get this message, I will be long gone, I release you from my grip, your heart is in your chest where it should be, and Kanna's soul is in the green vile in my bed chambers. As you will notice, I have taken the magic Vases with me, along with the boy, Kohaku.

"You may do as you wish from now on, I could care less. You are free to leave the castle and never return, take Kanna with you and do know that I will be watching you.

"Ja ne..." Kanna then brought down the Mirror to se Kagura's shocked face, after a moment of complete and utter shock, she grabbed Kanna's wrist and practically dragged the demon child to Naraku's chambers.

She threw the door open and ran into the room looking for the green vile that contained Kanna's soul. She looked on his stand and saw the vile, along with something she REALY didn't expect to see.

"The Shards of the Shinkon no Tamma!" Kagura held the almost complete shard in her hand as she looked at Kanna. She could see the longing in her eyes, it was almost undetectable, but she could see it. Kagura put the shard away, hidden in her kimono as grabbed the vile, she opened the quark and held it near Kanna's heart.

"Hear little sister, I believe you've been bottled up for too long." Whispered Kagura as she saw small colored souls come out of the vile slowly. She could hear the vile crying, screaming, laughing and growling as the lights poured into the small girls body as the vile emptied it's self. Kanna had her eye's closed, but when she opens them, red irises the same a Kagura glistened warmly at her.

"Kagura..." Kanna smiled for the first time in her life before she passed out. Kagura grabbed her before she hit the ground; she tucked the mirror in her obi sash.

Suddenly the castle began to shake violently. Kagura swore darkly under her breath and ran out the room, down the corridors of the castle, looking for a way out of the castle. she stopped suddenly to avoid being crushed by a falling beam. She saw the gates of the castle, and how the falling debris was blocking it off.

"Damn!"

An old man and woman were walking through a trail on a late night stroll in a forest when the came to a clearing and passed a rather large castle. The old man looked towards the castle and was scared to see it over twenty feet above the ground, and shaking itself into destruction.

"Mitsu! What's happening?" Asked the old woman, scared of the castles own destruction. The old man didn't know the answer and told his wife the same thing.

As he was in the middle of saying that, the gates to the castle were blown off and Kagura flew out on her feather. The old man and woman ran back into the forest and hid as Kagura flew away into the distance on her huge feather with Kanna lying in front of her.

Sesshoumaru was on guard as always as he felt the unmistakable scent of the demoness that had been penetrating his mind since they had first met. Looking down at the small pack he had formed, shook his head as he saw Rin roll over in her sleep and her arm smacking Jaken hard in the face. The toad merely grumbled as he kicked her slightly.

Like spoiled siblings.

Sesshoumaru walked over to the ever wake two headed dragon as he left camp, throwing an order over his shoulder, " Watch over them Uh-Un, I will be back soon." He said as he summoned his own dark purple cloud and flew off.

: Kagura....why is it you never without my thoughts? What have you done to me?: He asked no one in particular, as he saw some trees that looked like they had been to hell and back, he sensed Kagura's and a similar sent as he landed. Looking around he saw that Kagura's over-sized feather had crashed and she had fallen off along with a demon child of pure white.

"Kagura...." Sesshoumaru murmured under his breath as he knelt down and examined her. She had a mirror in her obi sash and a near halfway completed Shinkon no Tamma shard in her hand. She looked the same but seemed different...

:It is because she smells of only herself now, not a trace of Naraku in her scent? Or because you can hear her heart pounding steadily in your head? The scent she carries on her drives you mad, you want h -: Sesshoumaru snarled at the voice in his head, slowly driving him insane. And some how kept his stoic mask.

: I want nothing from her.: He said in his own defense, trying to ignore what his instincts told him.

: On the contrary, you want everything from her.: The voice gave its last taunt before disappearing. Sesshoumaru shook his head as he picked up the unconscious form of Kagura and the small girl, she didn't seem to be any older that Rin herself. "Look's like Rin will have a new playmate," His lips twitched slightly as Kagura snuggled into him silently.
Maybe me as well..."

*Twitch*

Sango eyed the bouzu monk carefully as his hand started to twitch again, his 'complementing hand', was starting to act up, and Miroku was starting to ease towards her a little...

Sango reached for her Hirokoutsu only swear under her breath when she realized that she had it lying on the other side of the spacious hut drying from her polishing earlier. He scooted closer...

"Don't you fucking touch me letch..." She growled out. Miroku managed to somehow put on a surprised and hurt looking face.

" Why Sango! I'm hurt that you think a humble monk like myself, a man of the clothe, would EVER even dream of offending you in such a manner!" He prodded. Sango clucked her tongue at him as she saw his hand twitch again.

"Right, and I'm gonna believe that the day Naraku gives us the Shinkon no Tamma saying he would rather smell flowers all day than plot somebody's torturous demise..." She grumbled.

"By now, Shippou, who had been watching them, because there was nothing else better to do since Kagome and Inuyasha had left all on there own to investigate a shard rumor, burst into all out tears of laughter at the tajiiya's remark to the bouzu monk. Though Miroku found it much less entertaining.

" Well, if you'll excuse me, I think I'll step out to take a wa-" Miroku was cut off as Shippou literally flew out the door screaming in delight, that could only mean one thing...

"KAGOMEEE!!!!! I was so BORED!!" He yelled as he leapt into her open arms. Kagome smiled as she held him up., snuggling him close as she began to tickle his stomach. Inuyasha snorted as he walked passed the giggling two, hauling the impossibly large yellow bag over his shoulder as he stormed into the hut, Kagome shook her head as she followed him in.

"Calm down Inuyasha, at least we got the shard," Kagome mumbled as she sat in a far corner of the hut, next to Sango. Inuyasha snarled as he turned to face her, showing his clipped ear, black eye, and various other cuts and bruises.

"That fucking wolf Gouged out my goddamn EYE, and you start fucking lecturing ME about calming the fuck DOWN!! He kidnapped you AGAIN and sit me when I get you back!! So NO I will not calm the fuck down Kagome!!" He snapped. Kagome's face went red in anger as she dropped Shippou and rose face to face with the hanyou.

"He gouged out your eye because you ripped off his ears!! And he DIDN'T kidnap me, he got me out of the way of YOUR blades of blood attack!!" She screamed back. Inuyasha growled as he pointed to his nipped ear.

"He bit me ear, call me crazy, BUT THAT SHIT HURTS!!" Kagome growled as she pulled on his ear, he yelped as she examined the furry little appendage.

"Why are complaining about this Inuyasha?! It'll be good as new in fifteen minutes, twenty tops!" She said as she released his ear, Inuyasha growled as he healed his ear.

"My ears are VERY sensitive, AND THEY HURT LIKE HELL, SO *DON'T* PULL THEM BITCH!!!" He snarled, Kagome was, quite frankly, PISSED as hell, her eyes got that little glee in them that they usually got before she sat him. Shippou grinned from his position in her arms evilly as he saw the fear in the hanyou's eyes.

: It's scary,: He thought to himself, : Inuyasha will fight anyone or anything with out so much as the SLIGHTEST hint of fear, but when he pisses off Kagome....if he had a tail he'd run away with it tucked between his legs!!: He giggled, Inuyasha was to busy to notice the annoying kit at the moment to care about him getting laughs off his

"K-Ka-Kagome?" The inu hanyou asked nervously, he held his breath when he saw her look him straight in the eye.

Kagome snapped.

"SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!! SIT!!! " She screamed at the top of her lungs. Inuyasha was instantly kissing dirt as his face slammed into the ground. Kagome 'huffed' and grabbed her yellow bag before she stomped out the hut, and yelled over her shoulder, Shippou jumped out of her arms as she stormed away, laughing at the Inuyasha shaped hole.

"I'm Going HOME!! I won't be back till next Sunday!!" She yelled, Inuyasha grumbled from his position three feet under the huts floor. Keade sighed as she shook her head.

"Another hole..."

I know this chapter is kind of short, but I couldn't help but leave you all dangling.
