Chapter Three- Inuyasha takes Kagome

Kagome let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "You are probably right mom. I'll be in my room if you need me." Kagome ran up the stairs and into her room. She shut her door and laid down on her bed. 'Mom's probably right. I don't think that he will come back.'

Kagome shut her eyes and soon fell asleep.

Inuyasha happened to be right outside of the front door when Kagome and her mother were talking. He also heard the comment about him being stupid. 'So they think I am stupid. I'll show them how stupid I am once I get her powers away from her.'

Inuyasha followed Kagome's scent outside and around the corner of her house and jumped on the tree in the front. 'Her scent is the strongest from the room over there.' Inuyasha leapt over and landed on the windowsill. 'Now how to get this open.' Inuyasha pushed on the glass and it opened. Fast. Inuyasha fell into her room and landed face down on her floor.

Kagome stirred in her sleep and rolled over to the other side of her bed. She did not awaken.

Inuyasha got up from the floor. 'Damn that glass thing!' He was about to punch it when he realized what he came in there for.

He turned around to see a sleeping Kagome on her bed. Inuyasha walked over to her and looked at her. 'She looks a lot like Kikyou.' He smelled her. 'She has a similar scent too.' He was about to cover her mouth with his hand and take her away when he heard someone coming up the stairs.

"Kagome if you're hungry I made some ramen downstairs." Ms. Higurashi said as she opened the door.

Inuyasha had to think quick. He notice a space between Kagome's bed and the floor. He dove for it. Carpet isn't very slick, so he didn't go very far. Inuyasha scrambled to get underneath the bed. He managed to get his upper body under it, but his legs and feet stuck out on the side.

Ms. Higurashi opened the door and saw that Kagome was sleeping. She turned around to leave when she heard someone sneeze. She looked back at Kagome and she was still sleeping. 'It was probably nothing.' She thought and left.

Inuyasha was mentally cursing the dust bunnies underneath her bed. One managed to sneak its way next to Inuyasha's sensitive nose and made him sneeze.

Inuyasha wiggled out from underneath Kagome's bed and stood up beside her.

QUICK NOTE-Wouldn't that be so cute to see! Inuyasha wiggling out from underneath a bed. *Starts drooling* *Shakes out of it* Ok back to the story!

He took a quick moment to check if anyone was around or nearby and then looked back at Kagome. He quickly put his hand over Kagome's mouth and lifted her up and jumped out of her window. Inuyasha took off into the nearby woods with a silently screaming Kagome.

Once he got far enough away from everything he set her down on her feet. He didn't move his hand from her mouth.

Kagome was scared, furious, and worried at the same time.

"If I take my hand from your mouth, do you promise not to scream?" Inuyasha said.

Kagome nodded.

He moved his hand.

"Why do you keep going after me?" Kagome asked. 'He doesn't seem like he is going to hurt me, so for now I will stay quiet.'

"I already told you that. Give up your powers so that I can leave." Inuyasha said.

"Listen, if you are talking about earlier when I knocked you over, I didn't even know I had those powers!" Kagome said.

"What kind of miko doesn't know about her powers?!" Inuyasha said back. Clearly getting frustrated.

"You think I am a miko?!" Kagome said. She was getting frustrated too.

Inuyasha was trying to restrain himself from breaking something. 'Maybe she doesn't really know she is a miko. I don't smell her lying.' Inuyasha looked at Kagome.

"What is your name, woman?" Inuyasha said.

"My name is Kagome." She replied.

'Look at those cute doggy ears on his head!' Kagome thought. 'Wait, I shouldn't be thinking about that at a time like this. He kidnaped me!'

"Am I done now? Can I leave?" Kagome said.

"No." Inuyasha said.

"What do you mean no?!" Kagome said.

"I am not done yet. I came here for your powers. I don't plan on leaving here until I get them." Inuyasha said.

"I really wish you would leave me alone. I want to go back home. I don't want to call the cops, but I will if I have to." Kagome said.

'What are these "cops"?' He thought. 'I can tell that I am getting nowhere with this girl, so I will come back another day.'

"If you take me back home now, I won't tell anyone about this whole thing." Kagome said. She was getting worried that she would never go home.

"I will take you back, but this is not the last time we will meet." Inuyasha said

"Really? You will take me back? Thank you." Kagome said. 'Wait what did he mean by, 'this will not be the last time we meet?' 'And why am I thanking him? He was the one who took me away in the first time!'

"Come on I'll take you back now." Inuyasha said.

Inuyasha walked ahead of Kagome, he was walking fast. Kagome had to jog to keep up with him.

"Hurry up woman!" Inuyasha said.

"Jeez I am almost running, do you have to go so fast?" Kagome said back to him.

"Just be glad I am letting you go back to your house!" Inuyasha said back.

'He was right. I should be glad.' Kagome thought.

Kagome arrived back at her house. Once Kagome walked in front of Inuyasha, he turned and ran silently back to the well.

Kagome turned around, "I wanted to thank you for letting me return bac-" She looked around and realized he was gone. 'I hope I never have to do that again.' She thought as she went in through the front door.

"Kagome where were you?!" Ms. Higurashi asked in a worried tone.

"I... I went for a quick walk, that's all." Kagome said in the nick of time.

"Oh, ok I didn't see you in your room, so I got worried." She said.

"I'll be up in my room if you need me." Kagome said as she walked up the stairs.

'I wonder what's wrong with Kagome?' Ms. H thought, 'She is acting different.'

Kagome paced back and forth trying to sort out everything that just happened.

'Should I call the police?' She thought, 'no I can't, I told that man I wouldn't. Should I tell my mom? No she wouldn't understand.' 'I'll sleep on it. Then I will know.' Kagome thought as she plopped down on her bed. She soon fell asleep.

Inuyasha just came back through the well, back to his time. He ran to Kikyou to tell her what he found out.

He made it to Kikyou and Kaede's hut and stepped inside. Kikyou was taking off her clothes and putting on a yukata for bed. Kikyou didn't notice Inuyasha. She had her back turned. Inuyasha quickly ran back out of the hut, as red as an apple.

'That was close.' Inuyasha thought, 'I am sure glad she didn't see me.' 'But, I saw her.' Inuyasha thought as a grin landed on his face.

Kikyou walked out of the hut and saw Inuyasha. "Oh Inuyasha it's you!" Kikyou said as she ran over to Inuyasha and gave him a hug. He blushed even more.

QUICK NOTE- I know it is not like Kikyou to do that, but it's my fic, so there!

Inuyasha was stunned. He never expected Kikyou to do that. He had never seen her act this way before.

"I didn't know if you were going to come back. I was really worried. I didn't want to lose you." Kikyou said releasing Inuyasha from her hug.

It took Inuyasha a minute or two to register the words that just came from her mouth. 'She didn't want to lose me? She was worried?'

"It's ok Kikyou, I am here now and you will never lose me." Inuyasha said, grabbing Kikyou and hugging her. Kikyou returned his hug and Inuyasha picked her up and brought her into the hut.

He set her down on her bed and sat next to her.

"Inuyasha, I am so glad that you came back. I don't know what I would have done without yo-" Kikyou's sentence was cut off with a kiss.

Kikyou was surprised, but returned the kiss full force. Inuyasha nipped at her bottom lip, begging for entrance. She opened her mouth, allowing him in. He licked across her teeth, sending a shiver up her spine. Inuyasha could smell her arousal spike. He leaned over her and straddled her hips. They had to break their kiss for air. Inuyasha started to take off Kikyou's yukata when Kaede walked in.

Inuyasha jumped off of Kikyou and growled menacingly at Kaede.

"Oh I am sorry! I just wanted to know if Kikyou wanted to go for a walk with me." Kaede said. She saw the whole thing.

Kikyou sat up and straightened out her yukata. She was blushing furiously.

"I would like that." Kikyou said, obviously wanted to avoid what could have happened.

Kikyou walked out of the door with Kaede. She was too embarrassed to say anything to Inuyasha.

Inuyasha walked out behind Kaede and Kikyou and walked into the forest.

Kagome woke up the next morning with a splitting headache. 'Ow my head hurts.' Kagome thought, 'I need some aspirin.'

She got up and walked to the hall closet to get some medicine.

Inuyasha woke up and jumped off of the god tree. He started walking back to Kikyou's hut.

'I am going to tell her that I am going to try to get her powers back from that woman in the other time.'

He knocked on the wood outside of her door.

"Come in." Kikyou said. "Oh hi Inuyasha." She said blushing furiously.

"I just wanted to let you know that I am going back to the other time to try again."

"Oh ok. Be sure to come back, ok?" Kikyou said.

"Don't worry, I will." Inuyasha said. He was still kind of upset about last night.

He walked out of the hut and on towards the well.

He made it to the well and looked into it again. 'Please let things go better than they did yesterday.' He thought as he jumped in.

Kagome took the medicine and laid back down on her bed.

After about a half an hour or so she was rudely awoken by someone pounding on her window.

It was Inuyasha. Kagome was terrified. She didn't think he would come back.

"MOM!" Kagome screamed. "Mom?" Kagome ran out of her room and looked around the house. She saw a note on the fridge and it said, 'Kagome, I went to take Souta to a soccer game. I will be back at about 5:00, if Souta's team wins and 3:45 if they don't. I volunteered to take the team to dinner if they win. There is some miso soup in the fridge if you want some. Love Mom.

Inuyasha let himself into her house. He was standing right behind Kagome as she was reading the note.

Kagome turned around and saw Inuyasha. She screamed.
