A sudden jerk and a sharp intake of air, submitted from the corpse. Eyes snapped open, and stormy blue hazed eyes stared forward. One eye dulled and with a film shielding the glassy surface. There were scratches that littered the unseeing eye, and blotches of blood that would not leave the unhealing texture. Involuntary shivers crawled along the pale flesh, bumps surfacing in their wake. Trembles racked and grasped the form of the woman. Shakes and chills chattering the pearled teeth. A dark brown, tinted with a metallic shine, caked thoroughly on the scared and torn gashes resting firmly on either wrist. Moist dirt clung to the pores of Kagome's flesh, wet and dried blood coating her body in a thin layer of remembrance.
No tears fell from the glass pupils. No emotion seeped into the empty orbs. No colour of feelings, no awareness, nothing. They shined with dulled life, with immature death, yet living, feeding off the pain and torture, off the sorrow and remorse, feeding greedily off the despair that chained the unbeating heart. They were views into a life that should have not witness, nor should have these crimes befall them. There sat a broken soul. A soul forever haunted and tormented by the foul crimes of selfish bastards! Teased and taunted with memories to forever quiver through the mind's eye.
A life desired to be lived, but unfulfilled. A life to innocence ripped from her grasp. A life...a life to never walk desired, never desired to be walked. So there sat a broken soul, chained and trapped within her own mind. Her heart beating but the feeling of death shadowing the life that once was.
Her body still numbed, and blood raced through her veins, attempting to make up for its split some. Her vacant eyes did not once leave the puddle that surrounded her, her ears absent to the sounds around her. Her body was still in a state of death like absence, and her mind in a tangled mesh of thoughts, questions and unanswered pleads. As the wind whipped around her still form, bringing feeling to the tips of her appendages again, a moan escaped her slightly agape mouth.
Her body was pulsing with pain, and her temples throbbed miserably. As the world faded in and out, the sound of a shocked gasp broke through the haze in Kagome's mind, the blur that coated her hearing, and seeing vanished, and the world was a contrast of bright colours, clear to the seeing eye once again. Jerking to the side, her glassy orbs stared at the imp who was shocked beyond words, and the turned child who sat motionless. Her mouth hung open and her eyes were widened. The child had stayed by her side, this whole time. But why? She was nothing special she wasn't worthy of anyone's tears. She was just a faceless phantom, a mistake in the happening. She was worthless, and stupid.
As thoughts upon thoughts crippled her mind, a crystal tear fell from the confines of the emotionless glass orbs. Shaking her head in denial, hoping that her mind was deceiving her, she looked to the child again. She was still there, and so was the imp to the corner of her eye, mouth agape.
"R-"Her voice cracked, and a lump had formed causing her words to vanish in her throat. Swallowing hard against the unfavourable lump in her throat, she closed her eyes and forced herself to mumble the words, "Rin?"
When the child's body tensed, she knew that what she saw before her was real. Slowly and hesitantly Rin turned, her eyes brimmed with tears, and her lip trembling. Jaken had not spoken a word, nor uttered a sound other then the gasp since the revision of the onna. His eyes were unbelievably stretched open in shock that given a few minutes they might fall from their sockets. Jaken could not explain this disturbance; that he could only guess that someone powerful was behind this.
Rin's head was bowed, and her bangs shadowed her face. Her shoulders had begun shaking and her nails started to dig into the soft dirt beneath her nails. Before anyone could open their mouth in question, Rin's head snapped up and she launched herself forward with a cry of Kagome's name. Kagome was unprepared for this, and could only brace herself when the child propelled herself into her chest. Kagome grunted and moaned in pain, but did not rebuke against the girl's actions. She instead threw her arms around the child, and tightly grasped her in an effort to believe she was real. When she did not fade from her sight, she rested her head on her shoulder, and listened to the sobs Rin produced. How could this be real? The very thought that anyone cared that she lived was enough to pull her from the depth's of suicide, even for the moment's time.
Stroking Rin's soft hair in a failed attempt to calm the girl, Kagome numbly felt tears roll down her cheeks, wetting Rin's shoulder. She could do nothing but the comforting strokes and the repeated 'shh…' to help calm the girl in her arms. After minutes had past the girl stilled, and her sobs ceased. Her whole body went limp in Kagome's grasp and she feared for the worse. The rhythm of her chest rising and falling put Kagome's fears to rest, and the small hands clutched her tighter in her grasp. The young child did not want to let her go even in her sleep. Her head still resting on Rin's shoulder, she let her eyes slide close. As she let her body relax and her mind ease into sleep, a disgruntled voice filled the silent atmosphere, once again pulling her from the land of dreams.
"M-My Lord!"
Slowly raising her head she searched around trying to locate the disturbance. Finally settling on the squawking imp, she saw that a pair of black clad feet stood not far off from him. Her eyes wondered up, though she could only see half an image, she followed the feet, up the billowy hakamas, to the armour that rested on the chest of the youkai. She knew that the newcomer was the Taiyoukai of the West, Lord Sesshomaru. She knew before she had peered around, for Rin and Jaken never travelled without him. She never registered the fact that he was not there until this very moment. When her eyes finally travelled the rest of the way, she saw the cold stare settled on her alone. She locked gazes with him, her eyes never faltering from the intensity of it. She saw his jaw slightly move, and waited for him to speak.
"Human. How is it you live?" Sesshomaru ordered, not leaving any room for arguments.
Kagome looked away, her blank eyes following the dancing flowers. She opened her mouth to speak, but found that she did not know how to answer. Her right eye glanced to the side, leaving the rest black and saw Sesshomaru still staring at her. Surprisingly to her, she did not hear the imp yelling at her for not answering. Maybe he was still in shock? Who knows?
Kagome came with the only answer she could give. "I am not permitted to die, your Lord."
Sesshomaru's jaw set, "Who is it that forbids your death?" He wanted answers.
Kagome opened her mouth to answer, but was stopped when her head pounded in agony. Blinding lights shot infront of her, and a pain was twisting in her stomach, and chest. She let out a choked gasp, as her throat muscles tightened and a lack of air reached her lungs. A laugh was echoing in her mind, and she knew who it was that was toying with her.
"Tell him Kagome, go on tell him who is causing you so much suffering...."The laugh had subsided but that cold, taunting voice was teasing her.
"You will not answer any question that resort with me, bitch! If you so much as utter my name, you will receive punishment. Understand me bitch, if your mouth utters anything of my sort, you will wish I had killed you!" Naraku threatened with a hiss, his voice serious and angered.
Kagome was clawing at her throat, the lack of oxygen causing her vision to fail, and blur. The sounds around her were fading, and the pain that resided in her chest and stomach were growing. Tears swelled in her eyes, and she fell forward, the child in her arms falling from her grasp.
"This is my only warning, my pet .Don't fuck up." The voice faded and so did the agonizing pain. Kagome sucked in air, coughing and holding her throat as her lungs burned. Her temples were throbbing, and her heart was pounding hard against her sore chest. Circling into a fatal position, Kagome started to cry. She couldn't take it anymore. She couldn't do it. She couldn't live through this anymore.
Rin had awoken when she was thrown to the ground. She groggily sat up, rubbing her eyes to try and clear them of the sleep and tears that clouded her vision. When her surroundings were clear, and she could hear everything without sleep distorting it, she could hear someone crying. Her eyes shot forward to the crying woman, arms circled protectively around herself. Looking for the attacker, she saw her Lord; his eyes adverted to the same scene. Rin rushed forward, dropping to her knees once she reached the sobbing woman. Tears were forming in her eyes, and she blinked in order to keep them a bay. She wanted to know what had happened to Kagome, what caused her to sob like so. Gazing at her Lord, her eyes questioning she let the few tears roll from her hazel orbs.
"W-what's wrong with her?" Rin's voice cracked. Fear and worry was bathing her scent, and Sesshomaru could tell that she was worrying herself over the woman again.
With his stoic facade, he spoke in a calm tone, "She is fine Rin. She does not bleed, and has not been attacked by any youkai."
Her expression spoke words to him though. He could tell that she doubted him. She reached over to the pale onna and wrapped her small arms around the woman's shoulders, speaking to her softly.
Kagome stopped shaking, just laying still now, listening to the comforting words that Rin was speaking. Was she trying to take her mind off the pain, both physical and mentally? Her tears dried, and her body was numb. She reached a shaky hand out to Rin's and gave it a squeeze, trying to reassure her that she was fine. Or maybe more herself then anything. She needed the comfort at the moment, and greedily accepted any that was given to her. When she was sure that she could sit up, she rose from her position on the meadow floor, and sat. Her head was spinning, and she could feel the headache drawing on. Her throat contracted while her stomach twisted. Bile rose up in her throat, and Kagome was useless against holding it down. Kagome throw her head forward, avoiding Rin, and vomited.
Her vomit consisted of nothing more then blood, and her stomach clenched uneasily from the force of release. Stomach acid spilled to the grass, and once she no longer had to urge to vomit, Kagome drew back. Wiping any excess bile from the corners of her mouth, she grasped her stomach in pain. Her throat was burning and her stomach was twisting and contracting. She was in pain because she had refused to eat anything during the time of her exile. Even the cold water that called to her, she was never hasty to drink. The last time she had drank anything was maybe one-two days ago. Nothing was in her system, so therefore she the acid that was released burned her insides, and brought forth blood.
Before Rin could go to comfort the girl again, Sesshomaru stopped any hope of that. "It is time that we go home, Rin."
Looking over to the InuYoukai, she sighed with defeat. She knew she would not be able to stay out her with Kagome all night, but she also didn't want Kagome to be alone and left out in the cold. Working up a smile, one in order to will her Lord so that she could bring Kagome back with them, she voiced her request, "Lord Sesshomaru, can't Kagome come with us?"
Sesshomaru gave a quick thought to it, before turning on his heels. That was answer enough. He knew Rin would beg him until he gave in, so he gave no resistance to letting the woman come along. "Hurry up." And with that he had already vanished into the shrouded forest.
Rin rushed over to Kagome's side with a smile. "Kagome, its okay if you come live with us." She paused at the confused expression that contorted Kagome's features. "Y-you do want to stay with me, r-right?" Rin asked softly her face saddening, when Kagome had yet to answer.
Kagome only nodded her head, not trusting her voice for the moment. Someone still cared. Someone had cried over her. Someone had showed care and kindness to her. That someone was a child. That someone was Rin.....and she was grateful for that someone.....
*********
Kagome followed Rin with small steps, her legs sore and weak. She couldn't wait to sit, or better yet sleep. Her mind was in so much turmoil that the idea of sleep did not faze her. She had forgotten about any evil being creeping along in her mind, and dreams. She still couldn't understand how this young child had still remembered her, or for that fact cared over her well-being but it had warmed her shielded heart. By the time they had reached the castle, night had already fallen, and the stars and moon shined over head.

She still couldn't understand how this young child had still remembered her, or for that fact cared over her well-being but it had warmed her shielded heart. By the time they had reached the castle, night had already fallen, and the stars and moon shined over head.
Rin was skipping along, as if the past few hours never happened, with a smile giving warmth to Kagome's tortured soul. Her legs were threatening to give out from under her, but she ignored it in order to step foot inside the castle gates first, there she could atleast sit for a couple minutes. But alas, her legs complied against her will, and crumble from under her. Falling to the cold solid ground, Kagome shut her eyes, bracing for the impact on her sore body. Instead of a hard impact to cold dirt, she felt her body being lifted into a pair of warm arms.
Snapping her eyes open in shock, she gasped when her eyes stared into amber depths. She was trapped in those amber orbs, so familiar yet, so different. Either way, just the sight of them caused Kagome's heart to contracted in pain. Too many memories. Too many hopeful wishes, thrown away. Kagome swallowed a lump that had formed in her throat, and turned her head away from those amber orbs.
Sesshomaru had heard the woman trip, and sighed. Striding over to her and making it before she fell, he had grabbed her and lifted her into his arms. They would travel alot faster this way, and he was not in the mood to be slowed down today. So as he began to walk again, he heard the woman gasp and turned his piercing stare downwards. When her eyes opened, they were clouded with some kind of emotion he did not know. But after a few moments of staring into her eyes, he noticed the left one was duller then normal, and had a foggy film covering it. It only took a few seconds for him to spot the scratches, to know that she was half blind. He noticed her form of distress, and realized whom she was thinking of, before she cast her eyes away.
With a growl he started to walk, and then it dawned on him who this woman was.
"You are Inuyasha's wench, are you not?" He felt her stiffen in his arms, and could smell the tears threatening to pour. Before she could answer though, he spoke again. "How is it your alive? You were said to be drowned over six years ago. So why do you live?"
Kagome really couldn't answer that. She literally couldn't answer that. If she did who knows what Naraku would do to her. She shudder at the thought of him, and almost forgot she had been asked a question. Opening her mouth to answer what she could, she could faintly hear Naraku's voice in her head. It was warning her again, this time with malice in his voice. But why was he so worried over the Taiyoukai's knowledge to this?
"I wasn't dead. I....."Breaking off from her sentence, she squirmed in discomfort. She could feel the faint trace of hands roaming her body, and they were not Sesshomaru's. Tears were coming to her eyes again, as the hands gripped her breasts. Whatever Naraku was doing, he was keeping her from answering.
Sesshomaru waited the answer, but whenever she tried to speak she stopped in fear. He could smell it leaking off of her, just like when they were in the meadows. She came close to answering him last time, but had stopped in pain. She was clutching her chest and neck that time, as if someone was causing her pain. This time though, her fear was wisped away by panic. She was squirming in his arms, her eyes wide and full of panic. He did not understand the happenings of this woman. One moment she was fine the next she was on the verge of tears, or in pain, or in a frenzy of panic and fear. Ignoring this he continued to trek onwards. The girl in his arms had stilled after a few moments. He could hear the even beat of her heart, and looked down to see her asleep in his arms.

A/N: Hello there again. I know this chapter isn't that long but bare with me. I haven't been able to write lately and I'm finally getting back into it, so um yea. The next chapter I promise will be much longer and better, lol. I won't be able to write the rest of the week because of my b-day this Sunday, and family member coming down to visit. This results in me having to watch kids till late at night, so I won't be in the mood or have the energy to write.
I'd like to give thanks to all those who have reviewed. Thanks to: Pyropixie, HentaiZero, Yashagal, Fried_Deer, Fallenangel17583~NSI, Snowluva420, Aphae.
My comment on Some of Fallen's suggestions are, the following: You said that 'you should really push though more memories from what she missed with the group...' My plan is to keep those for later on in later chapters, for many reason's necessary. (Don't want to give anything away do I? lol) Anyways there will be memories of what the group went through and how they felt, but for now since they aren't a major part of the story yet, I'm leaving them out so I can focus on Naraku, Kagome, Sess, and Rin(Yes Rin is a big part of the story...)

Another point you had made was 'if I had been held in a foreign land for six years as a sex slave the first thing i would try to do was to go home....' The reason I haven't included anything about why Kagome wanted to go home was because her mind only focused on suicide and other vivid thoughts. It will be mentioned why or why not she wants to go home in later chapters but for now, it'll be left out. I thank you for your input, and will consider some of the things you have said though.
